I want some too. Has to be in person I think. At the drop.
There used to be a member who knew them and all.
@Jorge someone on Instagram auctions their gear off all the time. User name is alchemyofawesome Last one I saw available was Black Lime Reserve.
Good luck.
Iāve seen them at Spark in San Francisco and Wonderland nursery in Garberville.
They have interesting genetics, and are a nobel model for small farms and craft producers to survive and carve out profitable niches within the mass rec market that is developing. That said, I have never been able to personally justify spending $500 for a pack of their seeds. I have a cut given to me of Black Lime from them that is pretty goodā¦ but I have paid much less for seeds of equivalent quality genetics.
They have some interesting people. Mean Gene breeds with them and Frenchy Cannoli is their hash specialist I believe.
Thanks for the info folksā¦in case anyone else posts. ill leave the thread up for a week or two moreā¦
lol can we close our own threads? iām not familiar with them but i think iāve heard of black lime reserve
@anon4675195 does it have a real limey smell?
I would like it to remain open and have more people contribute to the cause if possible Mr. @Jorge. Thanks in advance.
I saw recently at seedaholics.com seedsherenowās auction site. If you go today, i believe you may have a shot, but i imagine them going for way out of my range.
Not really. Itās slightly citrusy.
they use the lime pk
I have a couple packs from meangene
I know they are out of a lot of people comfort zone price wise
Magnum Opus currently available:

$$$$, though.
I always think of strains like I would oranges.
I like oranges. I know what I want in an orange. I know that an orange more like this is better than one more like that. If I have an orange tree I like more than my other trees I will remove those ones, breed more of the one I like and just use those oranges, I will try the oranges of other people and if I like their oranges more I will ask them for a seed or cutting. Then I will have better oranges.
Some people judge their trees by how many oranges they get, others by how nice each orange is.
Someone I know breeds orange tree plants and says they have āamazing smelly fruit candy orangeā seeds.
How would I know if these seeds were worth the price they want (which is double the price of normal orange seeds)? Are they any better than the oranges I get right now for free?
There is only one answer. You buy them and you grow them until they produce oranges at which point you say "These oranges are just the same as the oranges you get if you grow trees from āThe ordinary and cheap seed companyā and I already had that.
All this time the āamazing smelly fruit candy orangeā company has been selling āsuper orange megaā seeds and making money.
$500?
Really? Wow.
Many people on this planet would sell anything for $500 a pop. if you just sell 1000 that is $500,000!
one more time.
$500,000
do you have that?
I donāt.
If just 1000 people across the globe use their credit card, then whatever the quality of the seed they get that much money. Also if seeds were shipped then no backsies, your seeds popped we keep the money.
When reports come out that the seeds are bogus they do not care, they have half a million dollars, or more.
If people catch on, make another company which has āultra candy popcorn OG landrace orangeā seeds, rinse and repeat.
There will always be people wanting the quick fix and other people willing to make money off them.
They are doing the false scarcity thing. Meangene / Aficionado evens say as much in interviews. Add a little marketing pizzazz, an Emerald Award or two, and theyāve created sufficient market demand to make it worth their while.
I personally see no reason to spend that type of $$$ unless there was some sort of āinvestmentā goal in mind or some sort of provable factor that they are only able to create/provide.
Exactly. They do limited runs of their releases and move on. An interesting business model.
I personally lean towards buying strains that have proven track records of consistency and quality over time. How can you know a one-off run is good, or (even if the company has a general reputation for high quality) is your āflavorā preference? You canāt.
that looks nice but Iāll have to wait for a run with Lowland Afghani, Highland just doesnāt cut it for me anymore
yeah i hate that shit. most of the stuff iād be willing to pay the higher prices for are things that cost 65$ five years ago then everyone agreed it was top but itās no longer available. thereās exceptions though.
i absolutely hate berner, but heās definitely a good hype-man. he released 420 packs of some limited untested shit for $420 a pack on 420ā¦ thatās 175,000 in a day for some bullshit. and people were paying $3500 for a pack of london pound cake (which heyarnold was going to āgive away for freeā to whoever bought his yetis, remember!! he claimed to have 2 packs) with āclosely guarded geneticsā which apparently is just stolen and rereleased riotseedco gear but 10x the price
I really wanted them damn yetis. Lmfao.
i think i saw one of those instagram auction pages with it or it might have even been direct sale, iāll keep an eye out for u grobro
edit: sorry its yeti f3 but only $80 if youre interested, thereās also loompa og f2 and norcal fire og and lots of other cabin fever seeds
Yep and in that time they wasted out of your grow you could have improved the strain to that level yourself.
Keep preaching brother! This 500 a pack bull crap will end with legalization. Check out a veggie catalog and youāll see the future of cannabis āstrainā pricing.
prices are up. $598/10 seed pack retail.
