Mmmmm cookies
I got a real bad cookie addiction.lol
I’ve been off them going on 3 nights.
I find the processed sugar and chocolate keeps Me up and I don’t sleep well.

I’m sure 3 hours before bed might be okay but I’m very sensitive to caffeine / sugar / pop (coke lol)
.try to limit my self to day time usage lol…

Nothing to me to sit at the table at 11pm and eat a box of gourmet cookies from the bakery lol and I wondered why I don’t sleep and if I do it’s for 3 hours lol

I haven’t started Nickken tonight . I had to stop buying sweets to ensure I got some sleep lol

But also for me - cannabis makes my mind overly active . I took some thc infused MCT oil the other evening and I was up all night thinking till 3AM.

A non creative high Is what I need

Short answer Yes.

The Hash Church podcast from
Bubble Man has some interesting round table discussions with leading cannabis doctors and industry folks if you want to go down a rabbit hole on all the potential benefits of having cbd in your system. The clif notes is our endocannabinoid system helps regulate the rest of our organ systems and maintain homeostasis.
I use a hemp strain called Ruby from the Dragonfly Earth Medicine collective. Infuse whole flowers into coconut oil in a magic butter machine then dilute it with whatever oil/butter you want to rub into your skin. I prefer mango butter.

I find oral cbd subtle or unnoticeable in its effect usually. The topical salve noticeably calms me down and deepens my sleep. I usually am a very light sleeper but it helps me not wake up fully from stimulus and go right back to deep sleep. Your mileage may vary but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Also awesome for aches and pains from blue collar worker man and martial arts activities😋

That’s interesting. I’ve got some cbd oil but I’ve always taken it orally and it doesn’t have much effect for me.
Edibles aren’t my jam, they do work but then my tolerance gets sky high way too fast and I’m always groggy the next day. Plus it stays in my system so much longer than smoking and that’s not good for drug tests. Smoking I can clear out in 2 weeks or less.

I use half the sugar and they’re plenty good but perhaps too sweet for you. If you grow your own, hold the harvest until most trichomes are turning orange/brown. I’ve heard that makes for more CBD & CBN which is supposed to help with sleep without getting too high. But if you can’t hold back on the cookies - maybe a tincture would be better. I don’t like the hard alcohol taste myself. Good luck!

Interesting. Any idea on the general CBD content? It only surprises me because I make a salve from a 1:1 strain that’s great for pain relief but there’s no mental feeling from it at all. The strain I use is only ~12% CBD though.

Only guessing but it think this strain is at least 10:1 possibly closer to 50-100:1. They were using it for legal hemp production but I know they think higher than .03% thc is helpful for the medical benefits.
I’ve vaped a lot and couldn’t ever feel a thc buzz.

Regarding pot cookies, and sugar - I cut the recipe sugar amount at least in half, if not by 3/4. Americans love the 3 killers Salt, Sugar & Fat. Probably from the thousands oif years humans survived eating animals and salting their meat to keep it somewhat safe. I imagine sugar came in much later and diabetes came soon after.

Waterlox Original Sealer is my go-to. Much easier to use, more durable, used it for 30 years.

I don’t like them to sweet.

I’ll have to keep this thread on watch, that Orange Grove sounds like a choice pick for developing a deeply flavored hash.

Love this thread, always on the lookout for my Veteran peeps, most of them have insomnia. Problem is for most, Cannabis effects REM cycle, however, for most of my guys, they wake up screaming with nightmares during REM, so some sleep is better than no sleep.

Bubba Kush regs from Verdent Green back in the day was the most narcotic smoke I have had. Need to get a heavy sleeper back in the garden hmmmm :peace_symbol:

A long decarb to converet to CBN helps. I like island sweet skunk. I also use some old bubba mixed with a cbd strain. Keeping weed a long time will convert some THC to CBN.

Kush dominant Indica taken late so most of the resin glands are amber. That’s my own personal prescription. If i vape a few bowls half an hour before bed i’m out for the count.

btw hash made from Kush buds has a very narcotic type sedative effect. In a resin vape it’s medicinal (imo) and very effective
