well potential bad news on this grow. which pains me beyond words.
i checked in on my lady and she had a bud that was completely dried up and withered. bracts were shrinking and beautiful tiger striped beans were sitting in them.
i cut the bud out and put it in a paper sack that i then smacked against the wall a few times to loosen some seed. i got about 20 loose and most looked dark and tiger striped and a few pale or green. the troubling news is that i can crush any of the seed regardless of what it looks like with my fingers. the insides are dry and the embryo is a dark green color. i’m afraid mold may have infected my bounty from the inside out.
i still have at least two more weeks for the seeds to mature but i’m not sure there is much else i can do.
i’ll get up some photos soon.

Really sorry to hear this. I hope it’s the only bud like that and that it doesn’t spread to the rest of them.

sorry for that. i had this happen before did it get hot in or near the one? perhaps heat stress or poor air movement around it? hollow seeds no fun for sure though

the canopy is pretty even at an average of 20in/50cm from the lights.
i’m just going to ride it out.
i have other avenues to do a seed increase.
i saved some f1 pollen just in case. i can also sift through some f2’s for some males.
just wanted to give a heads up to people wanting these seeds.
