hey @beacher do you have much info on the Blackberry Breath female you pollinated? Some of those BBxOG beans are heading my way, thought id try to pick your brain about where it came from (breeder) and its genetic make up, if possible.
Is it Blackberry Kush x Mendo Breath possibly?
I think you said 9 weeks flowering on the moms side. I take it Goji is prolly around 9 weeks flowering also?
any info on the BB mom would be appreciated. thx.

The seeds will not over ripen .if anything they will fall to the floor just as they fall to the ground in nature  awesome project Beacher.

Could that be why they say amnesia hash plant is hard to keep from going into bloom, and not recommended for indoors?!

Back before I stopped growing, I had a bonsai mom for close to two years, I did the root pruning and chopping back to just a few growth tips at least two or three times when I had her. Then spider mites hit one summerā€¦

Iā€™m going to have to try that too, but at the same time I felt that the pruning and introducing new soil was kinda part of what kept the plant healthy, part of the technique used for actual bonsai trees.

Itā€™s blackberry breath from Jordan of the islands seeds that mongobongo f2ed. Itā€™s Jordans blackberry kush crossed with ā€˜meat breathā€™ lol

These poor ladies were definitely rootbound. Two things I would do differently would be bigger pots and a longer veg time, maybe 1-2 weeks.

The fabric pots do your root trimming for you and when pots dry out,you can always slip plant out and add some fresh soil and wormcastings to the bottom of pot and slip your plant back in.

Do you feel the plant trades frost for size of bud structure? I here that so often.

The ones I grew were mongos f2s and itā€™s a really nice strain. Super frosty, chunky indica structure (most phenos), and a sweet blackberry jam kinda smell.

@DannylovesCannabis I really canā€™t say, Iā€™ve never made seeds before and have yet to try any of these out. I hope not lol

I get about 9 months out of one of those bonsai moms, then I replace them with fresh clones.

Yea I guess thatā€™s prob the better way, I donā€™t know why I like the idea of keeping the same plant instead of making new mothers.

automated watering system I presume?

No, I enjoy hand watering my plants. I do, however, use synthetic nutrients on them.

I am surprised. it would seem like in a 16 oz container you would need to water more than once a day. I suppose if the humidity is controlled they can go a couple days?

I keep them trimmed small and under weak lighting (around 15-20W) I can get away with every two to three days.

Ya Iā€™ve kept mothers for months in solo cups of coco. Keep them further from the light and trim them back to a small shoot or two every few weeks. Most strains really like being hacked back like that they grow really vigorously after.
