Yeah @Ottafish , my last run in the 4x4. The SaintsCrossing also got a slightly modified regimen in the EB.
My houseplants have been getting the formulas for almost 2 years now as well. Started with them started giving them the JLF’s about a year ago.
My entire property has been getting strictly KNF/JADAM for over a year too.
2 of my favorite plants I’ve ever grown were in that 4x4 last round.
Smoke reports are overdue. I’ll do those soon. Out of country for a few weeks right now though.

That’s awesome dude. I dabble a little in the KNF/Jadam. I’ve always wanted to try the full regimen. I heard a the real magic comes from OHN. I need to try a experiment!

That red stuff is on the outside of the jar from some tape or something.

Ahh gotcha @Garden-Buddy. I’d say your all good then. Prob just had a little battle but it definitely looks like the LAB came out the victor as curds did form.
I think I’d still try to shorten your first step maybe, everyone environment is different and you could just need less time in that first step to not over expose the wash to other micros.
@Ottafish i think the same, rather than extending the time your wash sits, shorten it a bit and see what happens. You only need a little lactobacillus for it to overpopulate once you mix with the milk.
Sorry guys, I’m on a different time zone and spotty service so I’ll be offline more than usual but I’m checking in when I can.

What does it mean when your liquid fertilizer is not bubbly/active?

It won’t bubble like a compost tea. The fermentation isn’t designed to create a microbe solution, but rather to allow fermentation to make the nutrient compounds available.
Mine get scum on the top, but they aren’t supposed to bubble.

Ah ok. That clears it up. Thank you
What’s in your liquid fertilizer? @Kasper0909

Plant matter from cannabis and weeds, kitchen scraps, meal worm castings and skeletons and bedding, fresh chicken poo, various leaf matter or anything earthy with mold. Maybe a few more things couple wild mushrooms. Been stewing for a few months now. Egg shells,

Does it go anaerobic as it sits? I’m curious about the breakdown process? You trying to breakdown the material you put in to make it plant available? Do you add any LABs or other microbes?

It is very smelly. Yes in the beginning you add in local IMO(Indigenous micro organisms) pinch of sea salt, water and whatever your fermenting. My understanding is that the microbes break down the material among other things. @BeagleZ has much more knowledge on this.

Ive been keeping my LABS in sugar 1:1 on the shelf at room temperature.

Should be prefect. Honestly think labs is a must have for any gardener

This is rad! I love this thread for new inspiration. So far I’ve made LABs, FFJ/FPJ, charged Biochar and bokashi grain as well as SIPs inspired by crunch
@Kasper0909 where can I stay updated on these liquid ferts your working on?

Oooh nice. Now it’s time for the Jadam liquid fertilizer rabbit hole. Bout to be testing mine out a little.

Also the egg shell wco seems like a necessity for that available calcium and is super easy just has to sit for some time. Excited to try it when its done
