I was really interested in Shane’s 5x5 for a 4x4 tent which is the same unit 4x4pro !
He said at 80% power it will be delivering. 600watt for 1000ppfd
I was wondering about that myself. I was like are all these lights pretty much the same in this price range. And it doesn’t really matter which one you get it’s more about the genetics and the grower’s skills and environment and all that.
I still want to get a good light though for this 2x4 space. Wondering if I should just go all AC Infinity or get a little nicer light.
My take is that the AC Infinity (or several others) will certainly work. If you have the extra $, a light seems a good investment from a company like HLG/Fohse/Grand Master LED, all of which will give you somewhere around a 5-year warranty. All in all, we just want the best smoke, right? I bet at a point it’s a diminishing return on investment.
They ship to Aus mate but not US or Canada, spring sale on now.
Just ordered a Helios 480X with the Samsung 301H chips, 3.1 umol/J efficiency.
I’ve grown a bunch of ethos stuff and it’s all been fire
don’t know about the best but consider a 240 watt LED Board for your space
I run the evo4 and love it. Workhorse for a 3x3.
Highest efficiency I’ve seen at 3.14umol/J.
Par map isn’t 10/10 though but I’ve honestly never had a problem. Most cases it’s too much light so I’ll run at 80%. 100% with full tent and/or pushing the plants. Can’t beat it for $350…
I also have the migro array3 and really like that as well but the driver sucks… really bad… maybe I got a faulty one? Light itself is 11/10 though…
Hlg have there octoberfest promotions on 25% off
That’s quite a discount. Thanks. Makes that HLG Diablo real tempting. Or is the r spec better?
Hmm. That is a nice light. Should I get a 3X3 instead of a 2x4? Which is better?
Same here.
I am trying to decide between those three or to just get an AC Infinity. So hard deciding between these lights.
Yep, it is a hard choice! I’m now leaning most towards these:
3x3 gets you an extra square foot to work with.
I have a 2x4 but it’s just because that’s all my space will allow.
Those are nice.
Same. I could go 4x4 but I’m like do I really want to be sticking out that far from the wall? And I heard it’s hard to get to the plants in the back with a 4x4.
Yeah I can cram a rectangle against the wall but have no room for a big square. It would take up the whole apartment.
I believe that will come down to your goals! The EVO3, the 2x4 model, is very similar just made for the 2x4 space.
I like having a full square to work in with a 3x3 tent v. a rectangle.
But all comes down to goals, space, etc.
If I could I’d personably go with a 4x4 space but I do have power limitations making the 3x3 perfect for me!
I have previously used qb lights from spider farmer. (Before that hids) i find that my new bar style is much better for a 4x4. Better spread less hot spot. Its a viparspectra ks 5000 i think. For a 2x4 i like their xs1500pro. 2 of them crushes a 2x4.
Yes. I like working with a square space as well. And I really wanted to get a 4x4 but I don’t want to take up that much space sticking out from the wall. So I’m going to try a 2x4 first. If that works I’ll stick with it. If not I might upgrade to a 4x4 later.
The only thing I don’t like about the EVO 3 is it’s only three bars. I wish it were 4. That’s one of the main reasons I’m looking for another light.
