Any outcross M/F is more likely to move away from them being as hermie prone imho. I think it’s just the repeated selfing that is causing the problem.

Way I see it, a guy has gotta put food on the table and if that means trying new things and testing new partnerships then he is the person to be making that judgement. The problem is putting breeders up on a pedestal like they are gods. Nope, just dudes growing plants same as the rest of us.

Retail price on the seed to sale cd was 500. The cheapest resale price I’ve seen has been 750.

And yeah, the seeds were rushed to market so berner could have the seed drop on his birthday. That’s why a few days later he and Bodhi were on berner’s IG telling people they need to toss the seeds in the fridge for a couple weeks before trying to pop them.

I have a suspicion that Bodhi thought he’d actually have some say in what was bred, when stuff was ready, etc. and quickly saw that the promises made in the deal crumbled in the forms of unrealistic deadlines and likely less creative control than he was led to believe.

If anyone is still interested in getting rid of all their Bodhi gear  I’ll happily take it all!

Who is cookies next target? Greenhouse? :joy:

Dude is ultra secretive. No web presence, barely an IG. I hear he’s more active on Breedbay, but my account doesn’t want to cooperate so I wouldn’t know. That’s fine, I respect that people don’t need to be IG models to run a successful business.

Yet there are throngs of people who talk like they know his motives or his values. It seems like hero worship and it’s off putting. It’s hard to get information or ask questions over the fan boys rolling their eyes and sucking their teeth. Im never good at being hip with the in crowd and Bodhi fans seem like a very intense group.

its an amazing concept that to gain respect in the counter-cultural underworld you must first sign up for mark zuckerbergs facebook stepchild instagram

I see a lot of breeders like super star DJ’s, they may mix and blend and some may even be awesome at it, but at the end of the day they are still spinning someone else’s work.

That would be two, who deserves each other! The selfclaimed “King of Cannabis” and Gilbert the pimp.
No strain will go under 55% cannabinoids :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I know that dispensaries have a bad habit of raising the price significantly. That’s why I don’t mess with dispensaries.

This is from 2014

Yeah the markup was insane! They were capitalizing on the hype for sure. Around 80 a pack was forsure the direct from bodhi price at the Emerald Cup. Back in the good ol days! lol

2014 was almost ten years ago, before the internet had been overrun with 100’s (1000’s?) of “breeders” hawking their “gear” on IG and wherever. 78 bucks is pretty much right in line with what the seed banks were charging for a pack of Bodhi’s seeds at the time.

Having said that,

Most packs of non-Berner-related Bodhi seeds cost $45 on GLG right now (and for the last year or two, as well). So I dunno about “the good ol’ days” haha…

I meant that sarcastically! Back in those days seeds were so damn expensive and so fewer options compared to now lol. I scoop those $45 packs from GLG like theyre going outta style!

I’m glad i still have some of those ten year old packs.

I feel what your saying. Especially since it’s clear he’s made a brand around the moral compass of weed is no man’s plant, we borrow from nature, Shepard’s and stewards of the earth philosophy.
Then to hop in bed with Berner? Whiplash.

However, it is important to be able to make a mistake and course correct to come back from it. It seems like he quickly understood that the partnership wasn’t going to work and dissolved the relationship.

Exactly. Must also be nice to be independently wealthy such that one can afford to act 100% altruistically in all case.
