Wow, well done @DirtySlowToes ! Your Maze looks much better then mine did 100 days in. All the fans fall off and the thing just keeps blazing along, building flower. Crazy looking canabis, i hope it’s worth the wait. Looks promising judging by the visible trichs but it’s whats inside them that counts at the end of the day. Here’s to a smooth and easy cruise to the finish line.!
I hope it works. Both phenos are a 9 outta 10 on the Mrs Budders scale.
Quick photos before trim and bag up, these are the two Sour males I’ve settled on using for the next generation of Sour types, continuing work started by @SWIM_Yenobi through Karma ,Top Dawg & Piffcoast.
One is Sowahh x (mix of Sowahh & Sour D Bx males) and the other is Sour D Bx x (mix of Sowahh & Sour D Bx males)
I’ll collect, then mix their pollen and put it on females separated by structure (basically tall & lanky vs short & squat)-
Sowahh x (mix of Sowahh & Sour D Bx males)
Sour D Bx x (mix of Sowahh &Sour D Bx males)
Piffcoast Sour x (mix of Sowahh & Sour D Bx)
If all goes well, I’ll keep beans from the ones I like, separating them into two batches. Tall & lankys and short & squats. End goal is to have a couple batches of seed to draw Sour types from.
Lumbo Lips, post mid-flower up-pot. Should be good to go now.
This pedigree of my latest seed batch is a prime example of why you never see me use the term “strain”. I prefer “batch”. I’m even resistant to calling stuff “F1” but it’s misuse is so common now that most folks identify with it’s non traditional usage. Same thing with “sativa & Indica” At least we don’t call it “Marijuana” that much anymore (unless your in Mexico😁)
When you get to the back row, you’ll notice that the same things keep repeating. One could argue that the majority ofbmodern canabis is one “strain”. A mix of OG Kush, GSC, & Chem, which are themselves interrelated, with different outs. Thank goodness for the KC Brains inputs on this one!
Awesome @Nick ! Good to see they made it over to you. I just put some of those beans into soil so you’ll be able to get an idea of what you’re in for soon enough.
Mostly to have a variety of sour types to draw from depending on what I’m going for.
Example: I’ve got a lanky, flimsy TK/OG that i want to sour up and sturdy up the structure so I’d draw males from the short and squat progeny. And vice-versa, if i have a super tight, slow Afghani I wanted to open up and put some flavor on I’d go to males from the tall and lanky progeny. That’s the theory anyhow, we’ll see how she goes.
I need these (more then likely clones of them) in about 4 months so i pruned off a good 3rd of the rootball and replenished the medium about 2 weeks ago and this weekend and they got another hard trim. Don’t mind the sulfer that I’m too lazy to rinse off.
I fear the hardest part will be finding consistently sexually dependable progeny. Sour into Sour tends to be a bit of nut sac show if you’re not really careful. (And sometimes even if you are )
I’m dealing with the same thing with my a5haze/thai crosses except it’s nanners not balls. It’s really not too bad, I think it will be excellent smoke, but I wouldn’t breed with a specific one of them. The others are ok though.
The biker kush and triangle kush hybrids were pretty productive for kush lineage. Stretch between x3, x4
But those with the LA Pure Kush are my favorites, because of the potency. Even if they are slower in veg than the others. Stretch between x1,5 and x2
All carried variations of the kush taste (gazy, lemony, earthy) and effect (pretty indica but no ko), but half phenos let me work, so it’s very cool to can smoke kush during day work
Big thank you, I have very good weed thanks to you.
And it’s a very good representation of kush family
I’m very grateful @Budderton, thank you for the smooth experience and very good plants
Awesome @trytogoodbud ! Its my pleasure! I’m happy they did well for you and you where able to fill sacks with herb you enjoy! Did you keep any cuts of your favorites or are you on to new things?
Nice ones @Panamajock ! Mine started out short and squat but stretched out once put into a flowering cycle. I’m seeing variations in phenotypes but they all look equatorial . One reminds me of SE Asian types I’ve grown and they are all a little different terp wise. I think they’re gonna love it outside down there!
