Ohhh lovely!! looks like she recovered well and those 2 heads are promising :stuck_out_tongue:

i have saw a very very tiny brown point on a couple of the big fan leaves… would this be an indication of heat stress or nutrient burn?

Other than that she is looking amazing and the new growth is looking great!

heres some pics

I took this advise but had to move the lights back up to where they were as noticed tiny tiny brown points on the fan leaves the next day nothing major but yeah… I think the lights are good where they are.

You may be right, I see some slight signs of a Mag Def forming too.
LED is known for this…
Keep an eye on that if you can.

So… the first 4 weeks of the plants growth has been pretty good! Lots of healthy growth where i Topped the main stem.

This week in the UK temperatures outside have soared to 28-30’s celcius

Its caused more heat in my little 2x2 i would say around 28c on average for the hottest part of the day with humidity being around 55-60%

Does this look like a heat problem? or deficiency problem with nutrients?

I am in coco/coir with perlite nothing else so drain off is always great and PH ppm is on point!

EDIT: I must also add that I topped her about 3 nights ago could this be a factor of stress maybe?

Thanks in advance!

What are you feeding it, how much and how often? Also what are you PHing the nutes to?

Tri-Part ( Terra Aquatics )
Cal Mag
every day it gets a good watering because drainage is really good… It would probably take a good half gallon to even saturate the whole pot…

although I only just upped the nutrients to full feeding as I was doing half or less strength up until now…

example… if it says 2ml per litre I was literally only giving it 0.5ml per litre… I thought i would slowly up it maybe a bit too slow? lol

Make sure it’s not getting over watered, if the roots aren’t filling the pot yet there will be spots that don’t get oxygen if kept too wet

Ok I will adjust watering, even though its literally just coco /coir and perlite so drains extremely well!
But as you say if the roots arent helping areas in the pot it will still stay moist i guess.

Il go back to the old lift when dry technique

also I will add… it almost feels a little soggy to the touch on the end of the fan leaves too…

Doug, you will find all that info in his “other” thread …

Man, every forum has its rules, starting another thread with the same plant and problems is against them, they are made for all of us, trolls or not …

ahhhh damn it man i feel like im getting a hard time…

I wanted to steer away from LITFA and all the nonsense in the other post was all…

start fresh… and even though i feel i dont have to explain this… it seems to be worse than just the very tips of the leaves…

This is a genuine concernt to me man im not here to battle…

You’re allowed but this is kinda a play and learn posting thing…

Sometimes someone will post a thread like a grow thread and then make another thread outside that one that basically asks the same thing the grow thread does.

Not getting trolled just site users nudging you in the right direction for proper posting.

Steer away from litfa? You realize that that doesn’t mean thrive or die, just means that if things are constantly changing in the grow, the plant gets confused or sick, so we add what we think it needs without checking underlying factors and then get mad when it doesn’t bounce back quick enough or gets worse so we add something else, no we’re completely locked out and our leaves are shriveling and every other grow on this site can tell you the first time grower, that your pH is wonky.

You can say it’s on point, but we can see that it isn’t.

Overwatering is also a thing in coco and it’s not incredibly difficult to do.

So when we say LITFA, we really mean don’t add or subtract anything for a day or two and then check your runoff pH and compare to your starting pH and start your journey to rejuvenation of the plant.

Most plant problems stem from a pH swing in either direction that causes an initial lockout and the rest just goes all frog in a blender.

We aren’t driving you away, honestly. We’re just trying to help you get back on track and get some confidence in yourself as a grower. This isn’t RIU, we don’t just berate members for the hell of it.

We’re all learning something everyday, even our most experienced growers and breeders learn new things daily.

It’ll be ok. Stick around, we’ll get that plant praying and healthy again

Edit: I wouldn’t add calmag everyday… that might be the start of the issue there.
