I found this in the GrowFAQ but it seems like it will kill everything in the soil… highly oxidative. Wikipedia describes it as a disinfectant.

How can i control normal ants and white ants outdoors?

Contributed by Tokemon I read a tip a while ago about using Pottasium Permanganate (Condy’s Crystals)to control ants. Decided to give it a go. You can get PP at Chemists or some Supermarkets.
