Cbd for pets

Ive got a 17 yo male diabetic Cat.

He has arthritis and want to do some field research on using CBD for pets / cats specifically.

I had some cbd treats for dogs.

Thanks!

I had an elderly cat that was having a harder time getting around and the vet suggested a CBD oil they carried. It was more expensive than it had to be of course but it was what the vet and staff gave their pets and they had looked into different brands before arriving at this particular one supposedly. He wanted no part in actually taking it but there was a noticeable difference when weā€™d give it to him in his mobility and spirit.

Iā€™ll try to find out what brand it was today and get back to you.

Older corgi she gets a couple drops in her water everyday. Big thing is I donā€™t have to worry about cbd fucking up her liver

I had two Corgis with my ex. Female sable and a male tricolor. Great frigginā€™ dogs, total clowns in the best way.

Best watchdogs ever. My girl will let you know if a leaf if falling toward the house. Let alone someone walking two blocks up.

For non cogi owners- ā€œbest watch dogs everā€ is the nicest way to say incessantly barking mofos

The best would be when one was sleeping in the other room and the other would bark because the wind changed direction or whatever. The sleeping one would come running in barking their ass off with a completely readable look on their face that screamed ā€œI have no idea what the hell Iā€™m barking at but I must do thisā€

For the record the bark is intensified by hardwood floors. Yeah I wouldnā€™t recommend corgis to any new dog owner. It will be a battle of wills. When I got this one the little girl at the farm told me this dog would make you crazy. I saw it as perfect for our family. Didnā€™t realize it was a gypsy curse.

Lmao idk if itā€™s just a corgi thing  our pits do the same thing then the chihuahua gets them going worse. Sad part is Iā€™ve seen it happen cuz one farted while sleeping.

@Calix you have me wondering now too, I mean my cats love to smoke bud with me (can see them in the cats thread canā€™t remember specific thread name) maybe try making a glycerin tincture? Maybe a low dose infused coconut oil? Gonna look around (need something to occupy my mind today anyway)

My mate makes cbd dog treats biscuits he also sells normal ones as well,I wouldnā€™t mind picking up some cbd oil for my older dog

He has cancer well he has a mass on his bladder ,me and the wife spent almost 10k in 2 weeks on vet and a specialist ,out of pocket as well we didnā€™t have dog insurance for him

Specialist wanted another 8k to take a sample of the lump, then told me you mite spend all this money and itā€™s not cancer,

So heā€™s on pills everyday but heā€™s super happy dog weā€™re just letting him live his life out

If you can get a name for the dog cbd oil I would like to know

Yeah vet tried to put her on anti inflammation. I asked what effects that would have in her liver. Vet said after 9 months that would have to do testing. We took the pills just in case but will only give her maybe a qtr on bad days.

I just use some that I pickup from the headship. Full spectrum local. Queen city I think

Donā€™t buy the premade, there are plenty of companies that sell the CBD isolate or full spectrum. I use the full spectrum with my 12 year old pup and he loves it. Mix a gram in a ounce or two of MCT oil in a hot water bath and it is as simple as that. It is silly to pay the prices companies want for premade when you can make your own for pennies.

I know one thing my dog loves eating the stems and leaves. She is a stoner.

I gave my cats some CBD oil for a few days this 4th of July, if it helped them, it wasnā€™t very noticeable. I do have to say that this year was rather intense for them as one neighbor had a big family gathering with lots of illegal fireworks. I didnā€™t try to give them more than the first dose though, because itā€™s hard enough giving them drops before they are scared. :scream_cat:

I used one from a company called Lazarus Naturals in the US. They offer an assistance program with a 60% discount to vets, disabled, and low income, which I think is extremely awesome, havenā€™t seen any other CBD brands do that. (But I canā€™t say how their prices compare to anywhere else, I havenā€™t shopped around much) Probably still better to make your own if you have that figured out!

My dog needs something. I donā€™t want to give her Valiumā€˜s or whatever Xanax . Where did you get that stuff from for your pets

To give you an idea, 5 grams of CBD distillate costs $35 acquire a quart of MCT oil is roughly $30, $65 cost to make 5 - 1 ounce bottles, plus MCT to make more CBD or edible oil. 1000mg/30ml = 33.33mg/ml, $65/5 = $13/ bottle to make.

Neurotic puppies are never fun, I know you werenā€™t asking me but for our 2 bigger dogs I make infused peanut butter or even just straight infused coconut oil if need be sometimes but it used to be if we left either of them (or all the dogs) home or inside while we were outside they would freak and destroy things inside.

Yeah gotta be full spectrum.
