Hey, I wanted to follow up on this because I spoke to BIG SHOE about it and he sold the pack of Sunshine #3 to the Michigan guy who found the cup winning cut. Apparently the cut was stolen or used without his permission and thatās why it was renamed to hide its identity. The people who won cups with it did not know it had been stolen from the guy who had originally found it.
Good news is that that guy who found the cut is going to F2 it next year because he finally got the cut back. He got a second pack of the SS#3 from SHOE way back when and told him that itās going to be F2ād soon. SHOE also has a 14pack of the SS#3 heās also going to be F2ing soon. Perhaps those will be freebies in the future? That chem 3 cut is a winner!

Iām really interested in their ā91 dragonsā which is chem 91 x chinese landrace of some kind. Bred several generations. Looked really really cool but I couldnāt justify the purchase.

Iām horrible with smell descriptions but itās got a strong freshly molded rubber smell, with a hint on lemon pledge and a touch of some isopropyl alcohol fumes.
If this is anything like the original dogbud, which I have no clue if it is, then I can def see where they got the āchemā smell as a description.
I have another one that I had tossed in flowering with this one as a freshly rooted clone just to check its sex that is VERY oily and is just straight lemon pledge smelling. Although that one will likely only yield a few grams since it got no real veg but another clone thatās been vegging is gonna go into flower as soon as this one finishes. To see what it does when grown properly
@zephyr I got these off of a sale OleReynard ran some months back, but I must say for all the talk of JJ and Rez, what Iāve seen of ISPs work with the Chems has impressed me. I wonder why they donāt get talked about as much?

The D cut (to me) - really only has a lemon scent in flower, but cures to that funky onion garlic smell. I donāt get any Chem off it - but kudos if you get a blend of the two because who wouldnāt want that Chem smell in a Chem plant?
Looks like youāre going to have some very nice smoke!

If the Chem 3 is the mother of the cup winning sunshine 3 (aka sunshine 4) and is the same cut used in Bodhiās Cobra Lips has anyone grown out the Cobra Lips? It uses the Appalachia dad which I am assuming is going to be close the the sunshine dad used in the cup winner. There might be gold up in those hills as they say.
Is Cobra Lips even available at seedbanks anymore? I have 2 packs in the vault and might be worth an F2 project.

Cobra Lips is a good strain. Grown it twice from 2 different packsā¦ got to say I still prefer the Sunshine 4 clone I have ā¦ Chem 4 x Sunshine Daydream

I donāt think ISP has produced or released seeds for a while now. If thatās the case I may consider doing a coop with the girls I have and the few seeds I have left to pop. Would there be any interest in the Chem D BX3.
Either way let me look into their current situation as far a releases and lmk if thereās interest

I recently listened to a podcast with VASkunk regarding ChemdogāāThe Pot Castā I believe it was. In that interview he mentions how the original āChemdogā (not ādawgā) is the same as the 91ā Chemāand that ā91ā Chemā is a modern name for the original true āChemdogā clone, from Mass. G himselfāwhich SkunkVA traded his Super Skunk for. Then a few years later Mass G. had lost the 91ā and was giving a garden tour to High Times, and when SkunkVA saw that footage and noticed the original 91ā was missing, he contacted Mass.G. (Chemdog) and they met up.
Turned out that SkunkVA had lost his Super Skunk cut, but Chemdog had it!
Meanwhile, Chemdog had lost his Chemdog cut, but SkunkVA had it!
