Coastal Seeds BSHW Seed Increase

Looking Fantastic!
The male looks heavy with pollen.

Starting to clean the seed from the BSHW, all 7 females crossed the finished line and showing nice mature seed. Great success :+1:

Nice! Hope you end up with many jars of smoke and a big bag of beans!

Yea they’re about 80% really nicely finished, was glad to find that. Did have one that only produced a couple handfuls of seed which seemed strange

Yea glad everything has turned out and these will be around for a while now

Very much so, definitely should have done a little more selected of a pollination in hindsight

Nice job! Always sounded like a cool line - are they pretty terpinoline dominant?

Should have a little extra, still shucking/curing them - shoot me a message

Yea I’d say so, there’s a little more sour tropical fruit on a few plants, not sure what that would be attributed to… had to look up terpinolene to answer this :joy:

As did I, next time will grow them in ground or larger containers from the start and be more diligent on ipm, have a feeling they could really shine if taken care of a little better

Your plants look very happy living outside.

It would be great to know how the effects are for you. If you’re willing to smoke the now seedless buds (for science). Thanks!

Effect varies a bit based on plant but all are calming to the body and have a long creeper effect that is introverted/meditative. I wouldn’t call it an indica effect but you definitely wouldn’t smoke this before doing something that required you to be sharp. Good for relaxing, time spent in nature, listening to music, meditating, etc.

The first sample I tried I was disappointed by and about 10 min in was thinking I’d wasted a good outdoor season on some very bland cannabis… 30 min later I found myself having trouble walking in a straight line and my wife said I was slurring my speech a bit. Mentally once things really set in the peak felt like the early stages of a psilocybin experience… very gentle comedown without heaviness - beautiful stuff, definitely understand it’s popularity.

Wow that sounds wild. Kind of like some weed i had in high school in the 80’s.

Thank you for all the details. Def sounds like a good layering of both extremes of parent plants. High mind but also very narcotic on the body.

More recently a friend grew some “El Dorado” by Nirvana and it made me feel drunk. I had a hard time just talking and ordering a pizza in a restaurant. “Don’t operate machinery or drive” kind of weed. (I think he let it get too much amber trichs.)

I remember looking at Eldorado seeds about 15 years ago when I started growing but ended up not snagging them - how was it for your buddy overall as a plant? Does it look like it’s x SSH or skunk?

It was a stretchy, viney plant w lots of whispy buds. Looked like a landrace imo. Fun high but not functional at all. Drunk, trippy and giggly was the effect.
It was outside while in flower and took 16 weeks to finish because my friend didn’t grow a pure Sativa before.
