I am worried this is going to be a problem. the premise of my ‘sativa’ grow was that it could withstand high humidity. oh well…we’ll see if i get the mold. never got it before, but I have never run a batch raw against ambient conditions.
I agree, that many “so-called” sativas or “landraces” on the commercial market have NL or something else worked into them. I wouldn’t be surprised if almost all of ACE’s landrace stuff had some given the lack of transparency in the actual listings (not info that comes up once you put on your detective hat) If Dubi clears it up then how come ACE’s Bangi Haze listing on website does not reflect the true lineage/genetics (whether they are dutch, SSH? or PCK?) I commend the guy for putting test results up, but then he does stuff like this which destroys trust in the brand.
Very little available has a pristine pedigree & I’d wager if it does you aint gettin’ it cheap if at all . What ACE has done is make tropical sativa - like offerings available to the average hobby / tent grower . Majority of pure sativas are in no way indoor tolerant nor for the novice . Biggest problem with pure stuff is having room to grow out enough to make a proper selection . Then keeping the traits you want while breeding out the undesirable . It takes time , talent , luck & $ to work a line . Even if you’re growing someone elses worked line it’s more than most want . Add in 14+ weeks of flowering & there you go . 90% of growers want a hybrid & most want indica-dom or balanced . Very few want a pure sativa , so they’re hard to find . Hell just about everythings got indica or skunk in it .
Dubi didn’t create BangiHaze, and like other growers, chooses to keep the precise lineage to himself. But his descriptions clearly state it is 70% Sativa and 30% Indica. BH is a good seller and has a wide following for good reason. I recommend it. Happy to send you some seeds if you’d like to try it.
Do you get paid, or do you just get free seeds for shilling.
And , welcome to OG.
Bangi Haze used to go by other names, Bangi White, and originally White Congo.
Ive listed the true lineage at ICmag and Dubi tried to have me banned and successfully had a bunch of my buddies banned there for revealing the true lineages and sources of Dubi’s gear, as well as revealing how Dubi predatorily went to the forums where preservationists traded and posed as a preservationist to get all their gear and detailed descriptions, then listed them up on his own site.
Anyway, back to Bangi Haze.
Congo x Northern Lites x Acapulco x Afghan x White Widow.
70% sativa, yeah sure.
Panama was crossed with PCK for the first generation, as was Malawi, because finding a male in pure sativas ks difficult, especially when Dubi was hiring hobby closet growers in Spain to white label for him since Dubi couldn’t even grow himself. Great businessman, though.
Dubi paid enough at ICMag to ban me from posting in any ACE subforum, so if you’d like to post the correct lineages there, that would be really helpful and would imbue some sense of integrity.
–edit–
Would be nice if you guys could credit Estai on the forums and at your website for creating Bangi Haze.
Otherwise, this is no different than Tropical Seed Co ripping off JahGreenLabel and Vibes.
I found this incredible old post by MIG who is an OG from 1.0 where he documents a lot of the older CBG and other genetics including Panama and Bangi among many photos, he credits Estai for the CBG too and JGL, worth a look! Great photos from 2017 and older:
Excellent find, thank you.
Wish he was still posting - thats was a cool setup he had.
Vibes was on a few of the older forums out of Spain, then eventually posted mostly on just private forums. It was mostly a European and Latin American group.
Bodhi traded a lot with them back on the day and they were a primary source for his landrace stock.
I was lurking around 2008, and didnt post for about 5 yrs, so I feel like I missed out on the golden years of all that - JGL, Kaiki and a few others were pulling out of the forums around 2015-ish.
Probably the best private forum was Dale’s private site he had made for all of us to be fully open and free. Dude was an IBM programmer and built us a super secure site. That allowed for possibly the most beautiful era of trading and gifting genetics all over the world. I wanna say that was 2016-2019. Rest in Peace, Dale.
And now, we’ve got OG back and running and pretty chill about freeing the plant.
FYI the Panama is not pure, but a hybrid. Also what i read from a Spanish guy is, that the LMN varieties are hybrids. They were probably pure when he lived on the Canary Islands, but in the days he lived in Mallorca, crossed with WW or perhaps NL.
Thank you very much for your offer, really appreciate your generosity!!!
(This community is the best, thanks again @LemonadeJoe )
The BH is on my bucket list for the specific terpenes that were associated with it
That is an impressive CBG number as a ratio to THC, very interesting. I still have to really give my Malana Village a good test smoke, just found a branch that’s been hanging in the shade on the porch since chop day, and I’m gonna smoke it boys
That also counts for the amount of THCV, which is over 1%.Personally I’m more interested in varieties with a higher THCV content. This means less munchies
Here’s how the Durban is so far
the other 3 strains I planted look like regular babies so far but this one sure looks skinny!Three examples of Zang! F2 from Colorado Sativa. Variation is something I would expect from F2. A WLD pheno and a NLD with one in between. Nothing wrong with that, I plan to cross with fem pollen I made from ACE panama haze. So I will have panama/OTH x Vietnam Black/NH5 thai bx. Should be fun.
Those Zang! are unbelievably strong. Great and special herb. I ran two of them and looking at the photos they were similar to the mid-sized pheno you have. If that narrow leafed plant turns out more heady, you’ll want some Thorazine handy lol. It was VERY strong and very drunk/foggy/confused but in a fun way, not as scary as Malawi but similar in how affecting the high was for me. Very heady sativa stuff but more afternoon or evening as it’s like getting drunk and there was a definite heaviness. I had one hermi pheno that I kept anyway and was by far the most potent, brain scrambling, and was done by 11.5 weeks but I ran it to 13 with her sister. You’re stoked, it’s some special stuff that I’ll be running again. The hermi pollen knocked up a Mextiza x Malawi I was running with them and I grew out one of them, it yielded 7 oz in a 5 gallon and was similar in effect to the Zang, just with a larger frame, so it would make a great male for carrying the effect over to others.
Gotta love those true Sativas that actually send you to the moon. lol
I really need to grow out some of my Colorado Sativa’s gear. Always good looking plants.
