Colorado Sativas

I’m with you on celebrating the option for inexpensive, rare sativa type offerings.

Not sure if he moves all plants for pollination. My understanding is that he moves plants for crosses. What’s wrong with doing a transplant when moving a plant?

Im not sure I understand
Do you mean digging it up to transplant, or transplant from container then go into ground?

The latter doesnt have much stress.
The former has a lot of stress by cutting roots.

Transplants are best done at least a week before flower as plants can handle stress in veg whereas stress in flower can wreak havoc

Stress testing haha.
He is growing for seed also, don’t really need to go the full distance, just till the seeds are ready.

Great point. I can’t speak to CS methodology, assuming he used a technique that would limit stress ? But you know what they say about assumptions… I was primarily referring to transplant into the ground, versus moving with a container.

12 packs ordered, got Queen Mother, Panama, Nepal Jam and Bangi Haze freebies.

Fast service, seems like a helpful guy.

Some Zacatecas x michoacan (Snowhigh by way of CS).
Started 8, 7 sprouted, 6 look good. Will continue report. Seem uniform so far. I am optimistic.
I have the Queen Mother, Panama, Zapotec, Escobar, Mexican Death Sativa, Alcapulco Gold, Oxacan and a few more. I have Upstates Oaxacan via a friend. I may grow CS and Upstate side by side later.
Service is good and quick, seems legit I think…

IIRC The guy that runs CS really likes that strain!

I grew out Lily by Original Delicatessen, which is half Queen Mother. It was a tall relatively columnar sat with pineapple terps. Lovely strain. I’m sure Queen Mother is as well.

Is that your mother plant or is that the actual start that’s getting transplanted in May?

Thing is going to be a monster if so. Jealous of your early start :sunglasses:

It’s going out in may @FieldEffect and I’m hoping she keeps calm and doesn’t require a topping…

If it does get topped i’ll toss the cut in a cup of water and ignore it. :ok_hand:

I just picked up some Colorado Sativa seeds, including his Oaxaca. The seeds are big for Oaxaca, but they look good. No stripes, nice Brown color. Could be a pure one…TBD…
I have tlt Oaxaca seeds as well…and PCO from @Tejas. I’m in Oaxaca heaven right now😇! If they all smoke like Cryptic Labs Oaxaca I’m going seedhunting in Oaxaca!
@Pigeonman looks like you’ll have another tree this summer!

Throw a fish bubbler in there and keep the water dark. I rooted Peshawar this way outdoors with full sun til 1 or 2 each day. I would have lost Joe if it didn’t work.

I should post this pic. He really hooked me up. I admit I’m skeptical his set up ensures purity, but I’m guessing he must use those pollen bags? At any rate, I’ll have a verdict soon enough!

I have the cryptic labs string of pearls version I think? It was a gift from a friend, I am told a gift from you originally. I have only used the pollen so far. Love the cross with my blueberry mom.

Oh, I bet that Oaxaca crosses great with blueberry. I have a most likely old local blueberry line I’ve grown from 91-2018. I have plans to cross it with the Old Silversides Oaxaca line once I’m 2 more generations into it( Oaxaca)Can’t wait!

Speaking of Oaxaca crosses… I soaked some Oaxaca x Lemon Thai, and Goji x Oaxaca yesterday and will be putting them in a towel in a couple of hours. :slightly_smiling_face:

Time to start trying my own stuff I guess. My bag of Oaxaca (what’s left of it) is smelling more like cat pee than anything else now. It still has that nice haze flavor though.

Talking about Mexican and blueberry, I’m sweating the highland mex x blueberry. I wanted it when chimera had it a couple years ago, but didn’t go for it. People lose their shit for that one, regretted not buying them immediately haha. Next excuse to buy a pack of seed will a pack of the f2s from CS.

Sweet! I’m looking forward to seeing how it combines with everything.

I’m low too. Dangerously low. I’m going to run out
I’m afraid.
