I don’t even try and catch up @Weednerd.Anthony . Im lucky to find the live end.
I’m at 33 days on my 7 Cherry Hi-Cs and only 19 days on my 2 DMT Dreams. Tents pretty full now and I’m on the edge of my rh running over 60. Buds are starting to stack up. I’m thinking I should pull 2 CHCs out. Do a ghetto light dep for a few weeks. They really suck up a lot of water/feed. I’m afraid if I can’t keep the rh below 60, I’m begging for mold. @jaws has me re-evaluating my game plans after dealing with some. Nasty shit.
humm very strange to read this, your worried if your under 60% rh shit thats my goal number. 55-62 % i have my dehuey set right there.
im not getting mold issues because my RH is off im getting it because these type buds are just so think even with having 4 fans going it’s not enough airflow. i will not be growing the alien cookies f2 #6 not the alien gorg plants with out having them topped and down sized on the mains. wont be as WOWWW to look at the pics but at least i will fill comfortable running them full 70 days and not have any mold/bud rot issues.
peace …
IF MINE would be thinned out ASAP thats far to dense in my book for such a small area. keep all the bigger taller ones along the sides. nice and full i really like that but ya some trimming is in order brother.
be easy not just start whacking …
So the last several months have had me doing the bare minimum. In most areas of my life. Plant care included. I’ve touched on this with @shag , I think. Haven’t forgotten about you. My plants do not seem to notice they aren’t getting things as consistently as before. There’s always outlier’s. Best and worst plant. Possibly all being good too.
I know my nutrient use is way down. $$ Even switched nutes for veg cuz I have them. GH Maxigro. I don’t care for how it mixes was my only complaint. Gypsum in moderate amounts weekly? Yucca of some form in most everything. CalMag fairly consistently, but not heavy at all. Not prone to pushing feeds anyways.
When I was 1st unable to care like I like, I stressed about it. The plants didn’t. My small plants and seedlings, once going I pay more attention to, or try to. I think they’re more vulnerable then. Or is it a missed opportunity to cull weak plants.
For now my conclusion is Less is better. Those plants in the earlier post, that’s AFTER 3/4 of a bucket of leaf removal.
Silica too. Consistent in veg. Only thru stretch in flower
Note to self. Wear sunscreen. This guy was one of my all time heroes as a kid surfing in SoCal. Mike Purpus. Basal Cell Carcinoma is no joke.
Didn’t see this earlier. Humidity isn’t wanting to drop UNDER 60. There’s a potential for some dense clubs here too.
It takes me a long time to defoliate. I’m cautious not to overdo it taking too much at once. That’s an experience thing. They all need to come out again anyways tomorrow. Every few days I do that, or try to. No access on 2 sides requires it to see what’s going on.
Being how 7 of these are testers, they deserve a deligent check for herms, or any other issues. Not just a look, sniff, water. Takes a long time. Went and checked just last night for any possible light leaks. Black as_____. Fill in the blank.
Really appreciate you taking the time to tell what you’d do @JAWS . You commented recently about “grow style”. I’d call my style “learn by doing.” To get grow tips from the breeder is pretty cool in my book. More of that transparent thing you do. Some breeders never mention poor performance or traits in their plants. @Tonygreen was one I remember showing some ugly plants that we discussed. 20Twentymendocino too. I won’t mention who blew me off. “My plants never do that.” “Yea…well your seeds are at the landfill now”.
Grow threads are where I do most of learning, I always try to pay attention to what is working for folks and what isn’t working. I don’t grow enough to experiment on my own so depend on others with more experience.
Do you have an overhead exhaust fan ? I run crowded as I can in 4x4 and my target humidity is 60-70% and focus on air flow +1 for de-leafing.
I also run two of the 6" AC infinity fans under the canopy to help air flow through the bottom of the canopy.
Got a 6"ACInfinity. 4 12-14” fixed fans. No oscillating fire starters. I have the fans set where I can blow smoke in, watch it swirl and go out the exhaust. If I ran oscillating fans, wouldn’t be any better. I get a lot of air movement.
What I don’t have is a view of the floor anywhere but the edges.
Damn I never heard of that, I’ve had a cheap ballast go up like bbq marshmallow but never a fan Do you have a story you wanna share ?
My bad, the point I meant was that I run the fans under the canopy when plants get bigger. Have used fixed under canopy fans too for bigger rooms. I can’t see from the pic if you already have them.
I like to check leaf coverage from below canopy to avoid overdoing it. Either looking @ how much light is making it down to the pots or looking up from below.
Also de-leafing is very strain dependent, something leafy like Sour D or HeadBand you can hardly take too many but OGs are a lot more sensitive and won’t replace them if you go too hard.
Look out for condensation in the corners. That’s been the cause of any time I’ve gotten PM and what can happen if the “jungle” gets too thick.
2 fans are under canopy, 2 across the canopy. I just happened to catch 2 oscillating fans. Grow store guy told me try this. There was a friggin’ pile of oscillators on a pallet that had been returned.
Damn lol probably same reason they gave us new ones
Good morning my friend! Hope you are doing well today . Good morning to all of OG as well!
Hey hey! Sorry I haven’t contributed sooner. Been lurking the site getting a feel for things. I’ve enjoyed your grows and journals.
Keep it up and thank you for the inspiration and encouragement.
Goodmorning @crownpoodle and everyone
Hope yall have a nice Sunday today
You’re good @TrichomesToStun . I’ve been a lurker someplace my whole life. At a baby shower yesterday afternoon. Awesome food! Incredible spread! Rain let up the whole time so the small trolls 🧌 could schralp outside. I lurked with the trolls, or in a strategic corner near food. Morning @Weednerd.Anthony .
Out under a bush smoking more DOW with Maui. It’s wet enough I have my raincoat on. Unless it’s windy, the plant makes a decent umbrella. It’s an ancient Juniper. Birds love it. Nests every year. Soon for that…
3x3 update. 7 @JAWS grapefruit GORG testers. 2 each of his Trainwreck and Double Heather fems. One Genus Rude Dawg. One DMT Dream from @SHSC-1 . Breeder escapes me. @SmokinJoeMGF , is this yours? These have all had a decent pre-flip defol. Next feed nutes change. Lights to 12s in 7-10. Start them in the 3x3. All the G GORGs will go to the 4x4 in about a month. I’m liking how the look for the most part. I just look at nutes with much N and the DMT claws? Oh well. The plant in the right corner is my RD. she’s a nice one.
yes that is correct… @SmokinJoeMGF made the originals under the Ninefold Collective label.
Dawn Patrol who used to be active on icmag and the labs made the F2’s and gifted me a bunch. I also have 14 beans left of the originals that smokinjoe gave me some years ago now. I might need to pop those soon but they are in the freezer in safe storage for now
I’ve got 2 that are about 3 weeks on 12s. Going to be big, main cola plants. Really a strong stem rub… I’ve not been able to ID anything specific. I’m sure I’ll figure it out. I am really hoping those strong terps carry to smoke.
