Decarbing/infusing with a gas stove

Ditto ! Guess what we have margarine haha just gonna have to get some butter !

I’m just gonna try about 14gs to 1 1/4 cup butter

It really does work for me this way. Mrs Foreigner insists that i do 1/2 cups not full cups because then she can add a 1/2 cup regular butter which she feels makes for a better cookie baking wise

I’ve decarbed like that, gas stove here and the oven is unpredictable under 300…

Basically, put weed in a mason jar, cap the jar, put water in a pot, bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Place mason jar in simmering water. As water evaporates you will need to replace water, but cold water on the mason jar will crack it, so take mason jar out for a few seconds, pour hot water in to replace evaporated water, wait a minute maybe less and place mason jar back in. The inside of the mason jar wont get over 212F cause thats boiling point of water…

As long as you filter it in some way, the taste should be pretty minimal. I use coffee filters myself, but a fine enough food-grade cheesecloth should work pretty well too.

I understand bro ! Gas stoves change a lot !

Cooking has been a whole new learning curve that’s for sure

Kind of like you can hang a plastic bottle over a fire with only a little water in it and the water will boil before the plastic melts !

Sealed tight

Final thought - pour it all into a bowl and let the butter solidify in the fridge. Then crack it open and the water will drain away.

After boiling weed+ butter, open bag, drop everything in bowl in fridge to harden then use butter with water poured off? Or that’s a diff method lol

Shit I’m back do you grind up the buds or throw them in whole

Open bag, strain through cheese cloth/mesh bag to get rid of solids.

get the 800watt sous vide cooker on monoprice. most other sous vide cookers dont allow you to go above 200F i think.

Inkbird do one too ( souis vide ) , growers like Inkbird : )
They do two , an old version and new version , not sure which best , probably the new one but check first ie best temps etc
They also do a vacuum sealer , been eyeing both up : )

Personally decarb in the oven with my flower in a jar, super easy control. I pull the jar out and give it a shake a few times throughout the hour that it’s in there for. If you want to save your terps as much as possible let it cool to room temp in the jar before you open it. Any terps that evaporated off will have re-condensed back in the jar. I generally then put the jar in a pot of boiling water after adding my coconut oil/butter/olive oil /whatever choice of fats to the jar and continue simmer to infuse, again shaking the jar at least a few times/hour

This is how I do it:

Dry, nothing added.
Works fine with every strain I’ve done it with so far.
Always potent.
I’ve tried decarbing like this for 1, 2, 3 and 4 hours.
And 3 hours gives the strongest effect.
Patience pays off.

Well it happened no cookies yet !

But here is our take on Sous vide thanks to @Foreigner

Used about sixteen grams of strawberry cheese

Ground up the nuggets

Stuffed the flower inside a vacuumseal bag with two sticks of butter equaling one cup

Let’s the water get to a boil dropped it in

Had to put extra water in so waited around 55 mins

Ran it through the cheesecloth to strain
Deff have to say it looks pretty clean and tasty

It looks great! Great job! That’s exactly how it’s supposed to look.

Don’t forget to drain the water that forms underneath in the fridge.

Again, looks super clean. Taste some!
