I’m still trying to decide which reversal spray to use, and get some better understanding of how to use it for the autos. I’ll probably go with the Twenty20 STS reversal spray but may “invest” in the eliteXelite. It’s not quite like a photo, where you start spraying a week or two before flipping to flower. Intuitition would say I start spraying at 2-3 weeks (probably going to be closer to week 3), assuming flower will start around 4 weeks. I’m going to try to keep the plants half female by placing a divider where I top the seedlings, so I will ideally have 3 half male, half female plants. That’s my big “experiment” - I don’t know how it’ll go since usually you’d reverse the whole plant. I’ll collect all the pollen from the male sides, let the female buds ripen up. I’ll make my selection which pollen I’ll use after the budz ripen up and I can pick the best girl - most bubblegummy. If it’s super good I’ll probably make some other crosses with it. Sounds like the pollen collecting/drying/freezing is the hardest part of the whole deal, once I’ve got that done it’s all downhill.
I had pretty much forgotten about the watermelon squash bug apocalypse last summer. I picked up a few other cultivars and will be running the same Ali Baba line again. Going to start those early inside, the tomatoes and peppers didn’t need the head start last year. Changing up that game a little bit.

Yes, and thank you, very satisfied with the outcome, even though, as always, the road was rocky, new technique, winter conditions, life in general, I fully realize it is a blessing to have come this far and remember to stay grateful as much as possible. My past does not look so pretty. I know you understand. We work hard now to make up for our mistakes but some things just cannot be fixed all the way. We must create something new! Steady as she goes! Very soon we will be back outside.
Your plan sounds solid. From what I gathered, as long as you have some idea of what you want, and if you build it, they will come;) Cant wait to see your project in action. Having the three different female autos to not only choose from but to have some wiggle room for those unforseen circumstances and other curve balls, a very solid plan indeed. I pray we both succeed and continue on in these old and new ways of this life.
I am totally slacking on my vegetable garden picks. I had planned to pick up some cool and rare heirloom watermelons and such, more exotic stuff like you have, I still have time and some seed from last year but I really liked seeing the markings on the Ali Babas. Will have to look for something unique. Ive got a big ‘Wildflowers of Virginia’ package so gonna make things more colorful around here. Thats the plan at least! Oh, and some ‘Cat Tails’ that should be fun.

I should have thrown some Ali Baba seeds in! The flowers are a good plan. We had a ton out front this year, some in the back. They went crazy because they got fed the same stuff as the “magic flowers” in the back Planted a rose last year too that seemed to erupt despite being so young. The lessons learned caring for cannabis benefit all the plants, for sure. They’ll be especially happy this year, going to do some really nice ammendments for the veggie beds.
I figured that 3 little auto females will be easy enough there’s no reason not to grow the whole pack and pick the best one after-the-fact. But I was wanting to grow some others, maybe in single-plant quantities. The autos are easy to grow and harvest, so I’ll probably have a couple others around just for early-harvest smoke again. Like always, it seems my cannabis plans don’t subscribe to my intents, but I’ve got enough of an idea to go for it
Life is a journey, and I’m grateful too. The good times would be meaningless if there weren’t difficult times. I was reading on another forum last night about a guy born into wealth and struggling to find his own way. He has the same mental challenges and struggles, despite the safety net of financial indifference. But having it removes the drive, the push, and without the struggle we wouldn’t be happy with anything we do. That’s what I took from what he shared at least.

Her momma got her a small set of them a few weeks ago and they are a favorite right now, so I ordered the giant set so we can build whatever we want - no more running out of triangle pieces. Steaks thawed in the fridge and Hella Jelly in the jar, it’s gonna be a good day

And speaking of giving(of course this goes for you bro and also any fam who lets me know where to send em in the dms)… I know Ive mentioned this a few times but the beans from these lovely ladies will be dry and ready for planting in about a month or so and as of today, I have only a few folks to send out to but would love to send some more hopefull smiles as Im seeing a very heavy pollination on the FCC x STH #2 so will have plenty to go around with those, I am planning to keep working with FCC x STH #1 eventually so Im gonna try and hold on to them a bit longer but the Banana OG x STH F2s and FCC x STH #2 beans are a standing gift to our community. I have been given more than I will ever be aware of in this life and I would simply like to give something back, thats about it. Seeing them grown out, continuing the line or crossed with something else, would all be awesome but I am not worried about that stuff much. I appreciate any credit/respect given but these are not mine to keep, why would I? Who needs this much?
Love and pamper them, trade em, give them to a friend, or even throw them in the trash, it will be out of my hands, for they will be on a new journey with yall now.

I must have put replying on the back burner when work blew up my afternoon unexpectedly. I probably space out more than I used to, it may (or may not) be related to the giant bags of weed resulting from last summer.
They’re looking fantastic, man. Maybe next winter I’ll be able to clean out my closet a little, or maybe even put a tent in a foam box in the shed. Jealous of folks being able to do this in the dead of winter.
The support seems to go all ways, I’ve enjoyed this forum and the conversations I have with people. It’s really fun to participate.

I hope your having a good one today brother, Im working on getting a good one in out here and as always, keepin it moving, though I should say, I think its fair to say Im the one who has a hard time replying consistently to everyone, yet I know we all do our best as life works its magic and these giant bags of weed soothe our gathered aches and pains.
Thank the gods this winter is almost done, and hey, if your looking for a little light, I could hook you up with a small one?, its not much but its never too late to start something up indoors, though you’ll have plenty of time to prep something for next year the right way, I know you have your hands full when you are home and since you also work hard, I think an automatic system of some sort sounds about right for you. Once the obsession wears off, they dont require too much time or inputs.
Hell, Ive been moving in that direction myself with the very simple bottom watered fabric pot systems that really rock and roll and then Ive been happy to see its extremely easy to MacGyver a big enough reservoir with wick and platform that will last for a few days if need be, and once dialed in, I think I could leave them for three or four days, possibly more if I had to. Im lucky to be at home often but we do have a bunch of random things pop up all the time, like the nice couple that were renting a property recently ‘moved’ out abruptly, more like straight disappeared and destroyed the whole house on the way out, so when I cant take care of the plants like I want to(they are actually doing better than ever the more I use LITFA) the self watering systems help alot but Im still able to use the soil mixes we like and always working towards 100% organic.

The FCC x STH #1 is frosty AF in the flash lol wish I had pollinated her more but shes the only one still going so we’ll see how much seed she gives, the others both delivered over a hundred each so no worries on them.
With all that said and shown, man, I pray that spring finds us soon, I have been starting to ‘dig around’ a bit outside and that brightens my spirits. Preparing is everything 
Spreading some wildflower seed and planting tulips and hyacinths today I think. Turning the compost bins every few weeks. Ive been trying to convince the wife to go in with me on some Nigerian Dwarf Goats, I just know if we do this, we will be glued to this land for awhile, its not like we’re going anywhere anyway… Its always alot to think about but I have been working towards this system, on this land for a few years now. We got the rest of the fences in recently and now its time for the goats and chickens, one step at a time as with all things. I can’t wait to have all that natural fertilizer and not to mention never mowing the grass again!
And speaking of grass…Im not too sure on what Ill do outside this year, there is so much to choose from but one of the few picks I have for sure is the Hella Jelly, thanks to you brother! Very greatful Ive been wanting to grow that lovely gal out for a long time. Im thinking I might grow them out with a few of the new hopeful reg autos and see what nature intends.
For now, just enjoying the end of these last few grows and taking a miny break while I get ready for outdoor, definitely wishing you and all our OG Fam an Epic year!

Keepin’ it moving, indeed.
I appreciate the offer for a light, but honestly, I just think it would be too much to garden inside. First of all, the other half rolls her eyes hard enough just talking about my outdoor plans, or discussion of last years “weed forest.” Second of all, I literally have no idea where I’d put it. I thought about a little (like 2’ x 2’ x 3’ tall) spot under my desk, but it’s not the most optimal. I could put it in our walk-in-closet, but that may permanently wreck her optic nerves (eyes rolled all the way). I’ve briefly entertained building an insulated box in the the shed - but that would be a ton of work. I think for now, the outdoor is good enough for me. I’ll start seeds inside because everything is small and unobtrusive. I’ll keep the numbers low this season to minimize my stress.
But I appreciate the thought for sure. I definately need the mental outlet, the purgative part of growing something. So I’ll continue doing that. We’ll see how happy I am with a much more tame collection outdoors. Hopefully that brings the work/reward balance into a more optimal ratio than last year. Who knows, maybe at the end of next season I won’t be so overgrown myself that I really have the ambition to set up an indoor something.
I’ve been thinking along similar lines for auto-watered pots, but for outdoor. The 15 gallons, and even the 30s, would be looking pretty sad if they didn’t get any water for 2 days. It can get scortchin’ hot and dry here. I’m thinking the 50 gallons will be much better, and having only 3 of them I’ll put some drippers like I did for her mom’s plants. Going to ammend all the beds with lots of castings/compost/pumice as well as for the potted mix for the herbs.
I get what you are saying about anchoring to the property. We’re going to have to move in a few years - this house isn’t big enough to support us long-term and it’s more than an hour from my work. But I just want to stay. There’s so much labor invested. Granted, bigger house means my gardening will get better (and may expand to indoors). Animals are out of the question for me right now, feel like I’m barely hanging on with our daughter running around. Can’t wait to garden with her this summer, got her a little elephant watering can she loves playing with. I’m guessing she’ll be pulling lots of green tomatoes excitedly, but to say I’m looking forward to that time with her is an understatement. She loved going out when I got home from work every evening and we’d pick peppers, tomatoes, watermelons and she’d hold onto the bounty in her stroller. This season she’ll be walking around with the little elephant can 
What are the terps like on those girls? Does that BOG x STH smell banana/strawberry? That’s probably going to be a good combo… Beautiful pics 
You’ll enjoy the Hella Jelly, everyone I give it to enjoys it. That bag is shrinking faster than any of the others. My favorite of the run - fast, tasty, good effect. If I wasn’t so dead-set on exploring older strains I’d be running it again, no doubt.

Hell yeah brother, I understand and relate with everything you said. Your priorities are Beautiful man! Respect for sure. Sounds like your huge and successful outdoor grow is still holding down you and half the town, so no worries, I know!
The light is simply a standing offer if/when your situation changes, Ive got a small 100w led that isn’t being used and it wasn’t expensive or anything so no big deal and would be great for starting seedlings, keeping clones, maybe an auto, just good for little things but I totally get it man, its got to be the right time, right place and ‘happy wife, happy life’ seriously does trump alot of our desires and usually for good reason. It has taken at least 7-8 years for our household to smooth a few kinks out when it comes to growing cannabis…lol…its not always easy. That is one of the biggest pit falls that hardly anybody wants to talk about but it was a very real obstacle for me at least. Like a gauntlet of levels with our last one being the ‘Final Boss’, our wife, husband, or partner.
Like…if they do smoke, but dont grow, then we have to watch out for a whole nother kettle of fish, but if they dont smoke and dont grow, well then, it can definitely be a really touchy situation and I freakin pray that you and our brothers and sisters here dont have to deal with any of that drama, though Im willing to bet yall know what Im talkin about at least to some degree? Forgive me if Im yalkin nonsense as usual, you just had me laughing in a knowing way when you said ‘eyes rolled all the way’ priceless!
My Woman and I had a nice Valentines Day yesterday and I am always aware of how lucky I am to be a part of her life. She makes it ALL happen. Id be lucky to be in some hole somewhere but most likely Id be dead if it wasn’t for her love and I just hope you and the fam also know what Im talking about now. I that everyone finds and gives the love they, we all, deserve.

Finally harvested the Fiona’s Chem Cake #1 and she turned out to not only be the heaviest girl but also the tastiest and best of all, she has a decent amount of seed. She has a profile that is both offensive and sweet, though becauseof her size, she is the ‘chonker’ pheno. Strong gas/fuel but with some really strong lemony notes on the end of the wiff and a great, almost minty taste on the inhale from a fat joint, turning to a more hashy aftertaste soon after on the exhale. Her offspring were fathered by Banana OG x STH and I personally am going to go searching in those first, as soon as my latest auto grow is finished.
And yes! The Banana OG x Strawba the Hutt definitely has the Banana and the Strawberry in there, chock full! Im going to look for some tastier and more potent selections on the next round, the flower structure is alot denser than the Fiona’s and the terps are something to go after for sure. Straight sweet and floral scent. Not much ‘damn, thats some dank weed’ but more ‘damn, thats an interesting profile and I want to taste it!’ She was fast too. I think she was about a whole two weeks faster than the other two, maybe three weeks in front of the last girl to come down a week ago. Im guessing the autos in the f2 seeds will finish in around 60-65 days from seed, but it will be fun to look for myself and hopefully to see what you and others find in the reg. beans some day. Its all fairly strong flower, my tolerance has already skyrocketed but when they all first came down and were ready for that first toke, they all had some potency and potential for overdoing it …and speaking of tolerance and all that, I have been taking daily CBD gummies(30mg twice daily) and haven’t been getting sick like I was a few months back, still some nausea but I really think the wider ranges of cannabiniods has been helping alot, as far as I can tell at least…so anyway, now Im going to try a bubble run with these girls smalls and super frosty trim and then Ill keep working on my straight iron skillz.
Hopefully one day you can tell me what you think of these plants offspring and some others, no worries though, I get how we all have our own projects and desired plants to grow and breed. One person’s descriptions and experiences are just that, one persons expression of their experience, once a few other people try something and give/have a similar experience, well, now we’re talkin! Im very greatful for you and our ongoing conversation here, Im definitely planning on working the HJ into auto form after I complete this project and hopefully find some real winners eventually to breed to the HJ and then do it all over again, thank you my friend, the circle should be complete any day now.

Thanks Brother! I just put another 150w in there to kick it up, comes on thirty minutes after the 200w and then turns off 30 min. before lights out. Running 18/6, praying for an epic grow. Got alot of things sort of figured out lately

Now, I did highlight, some of your words, and I want to throw out something, not real popular, mostly ignored, but if I spouted this shit before, I beg your pardon.
Hermi plant usage, and whole plant extracts, for our health.
I’ve saved a few over the years, hell got 2 bags in my freezer. I save them as I know goodies are in the leaf, the herm bud, (that are tiny and misshapen, and covered in trichomes) as I let that one go past the killing stage, it finished in my pole building one spring, 7-8 years ago now.
I put some gloves on and did a strip n rip, into a clean bin bag.
Some I hold in solution, in the freezer, after an extraction.
I gave a 4 ounce bottle to a friend, who was feeling depressed. Maybe 2 months ago now. He stopped by a few days ago, and told me, I should sell this product.
He would sublingual, a few drops, in the am and pm. He said it has no buzz for him, but it elevates him, he tells me, it does not wipe out his depression, but neither does it allow it to consume him, as it was doing to him.
Like (his words) ground hog day, running all day long, in his every waking moment.
But the drops gave him some relief, some other thought processes could take hold.
I’m not sure what is happening, I’m not sure what to alter, but he sure as hell feels something good so far. Are the cannabinoids different in a herm? Does the extraction process convert any of terpenes/oils?
What if we have been culling great meds, for the sake of more THC??
