Feminized seeds is there anything to know?

Hello All this may be an already answered question but I will ask

as I would like to know

I am thinking about buying some feminized seeds and have been away from buying seeds

for a bit

I am thinking about buying them from

I know nothing about them but they have what I want at a price I will pay

so what are the goods, the bads and the uglies of feminized seeds

and what should I know?

thanks for the help

This is just my opinion looking at what they offer 100.00 for 10 cbd seeds seems a bit on the high side , have you been in touch with Sebring not sure if he has what your looking for but I know for a fact his pricing is almost free compared to what your planning on buying!

To answer your questions, I can only state the obvious.

Good: you get all females

Bad: you get all females

Ugly: possibility of hermies

which is why I am asking about anything to know

might chuck some pollen at the MOB

this I would figure as to how you make them

strains more stable to start with should be more stable as feminized seeds ?

I don’t really know, but that sounds logical. I have grown plenty of fem seeds and never had any hermies. I think stress factors bring out that tendency. I grow happy plants. Do the same and you should have minimal issues.

Ya fem seeds are fine imo as long as from someone reputable. I have had some go hermie on me but most have not. They seem pretty much on par as far as potency and vigor goes.

I don’t know a ton about breeding, but I would avoid using femmed stock for breeding as I’ve read it can cause issues.

Interesting. I have never read/heard this. Pretty much all my chucking so far has involved femmed females and I haven’t run into any issues. Do you recall what kinds of issues come up?

I was initially very skeptical of feminized seeds.
I avoided them until about 6 or 7 years ago.
I wanted to try a strain from Paradise Seeds …Wappa… then I tried some of Mandala Seeds
Far Out. These were only available as fem seeds, so I figured I would give ‘em a shot.
I was not disappointed at all. I never had any hermies or any other problems, subsequently I grew out a few more fem seed varieties. All performed well.

Never had a hermie from a feminized plant in all the years I’ve been growing but I’ve had reg seeds hermie in me a few times now so in my experience feminized seeds seem a lot more stable :+1:
