First grow diary:GG4xDreamcatcher

Great job so far! I’ll be following along the rest of the way. I was lucky enough to have a few of these beans find their way out to me as well!

Thanks Floyd! I only added nutes twice at a low dosage for the most part I let them do their own thing and it’s beautiful! I find myself sneaking to the cab just to marvel at them quite frequently. It’s going to be harder now that I have to let them be during dark hours. @Eagles009 you got some of these beans too? How cool! I can’t compare them to anything other then the other two strains I started but it’s definitely my favorite plant, by looks, strong scent in veg(got a feeling flower is going to be strong!), and just cool looking slenderish leaves. Definitely hope to get some seeds made to preserve this strain!

Should take some cuttings for clones maybe.

Yes indeed! I have some pollen that will be flying around in the near future so I’ll have to enjoy the show until I can safely get some going

Glad to hear you are liking them! I’m sure your success with them will solidify a place in the next drop. Can’t wait to see some buddage!

I actually did! I took one cutting off the lowest internode for practice with cloning. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do with it though? One grow cab is very limited! Maybe I can plant it outside in my garden beds

You could do what I do.
My homemade bubble cloner
or there are lots of videos on cloning on YouTube. You could just put the stem in a glass of water and wait till it grows roots as well.

Dude me either!!! I feel like A giddy little man child with these damn plants, looking forward to getting off work to look at them, get up 10 min earlier before work to look at them, definitely an addictive hobby! Well great now I got even more pressure to make a successful grow With these plants! Just know that I’m a newbie so don’t base this strain off what happens in this thread:grimacing::grimacing::grimacing:

I was just playing around . I will be dropping them soon either way. Don’t stress. These plants basically grow themselves once you get some basics down. Giddy little man child, lol. I totally get that!

So I should add bloom fertilizer now? I got advanced nutrients, blood meal, bone meal, and cal/mag at my disposal right now. Bone meal is 0-10-0, should I add some to my gallon jug along with the advanced nutrient bloom? Never used the bone meal before, instructions only say add 2 lbs to 30 square feet so I have no idea how to fraction that down to a gallon of water for the 4 plants😬

Weed porn, hopefully last pic without seeing hairs and balls!

Can’t believe how huge they have gotten! I’m in a pickle now, 3 out of 4 are 100% female! The one that looked male I’m still not sure about, it’s hard to tell. I honestly don’t know what to do with all these females! I don’t know if I can fit the 3 in there to finish out, let alone still growing the male out to get pollen! this is going to be very interesting, I might be in over my head on this grow:grimacing::grimacing::rofl::rofl::rofl:

It’s been week 1 after flip. Starting to see changes! Oooo this is exciting😃 male flowers are starting to show. Female are starting to change. I’m not seeing hairs yet, I think what I see are those stringy dingaling things that form on internodes, no idea what they are even called, but they are popping up at the growth spots so I’m assuming that’s the prep work for pistil magnificence

So I wanted to try a way to cool the air coming in from outside now that it’s getting in the high 70s at night time. I don’t know if this has been done here before, I haven’t tried looking, I had the stuff laying around and so I threw this together. @Gpaw you mentioned you’re going to be doing a shed/garage grow, maybe this could work for you.

Got an old cooler, drilled some 1/2” holes

1/2” tubing

Admire nature

Run 4 sections of 5’ tubing, curl it up some to fit without kinking
Sealed it all up with caulking, added vent mount thingy

Then add 4 bags of ice.
The crazy thing is, this actually WORKS! Ice cold air conditioned air came up through my intake holes in the bottom of the cab! BUT, there’s a couple issues I got. A) from the warm humid air getting sucked in it creates a lot of condensation and causes slight blockage, makes it sound like a gurgling sound like sucking the last bit of your fountain drink. B) I only have a 4”195cfm fan pulling air so it’s not very strong, and doesn’t pull air hard enough to ram through that condensation build up with those small tubes. So either I have to add more tubing, or use a slightly larger size, or upgrade to a bigger stronger inline fan. But this does work!!! Maybe some modifications, copper tubing would be much more efficient but more work. No electricity, just price of ice when the water in cooler isn’t cold anymore. Not bad for some red neck ingenuity!

Ok guys and gals, how close are we to this male dropping pollen??? The growth has exploded in just a couple days and I don’t want to pollinate too early. Females are just starting to show hairs at the bud sites, and I’d LIKE to only pollinate one female if I can help it. Do I need to get this male out now? I have a temp spot to put it in my patio with my indoor plants

I’d go ahead and get that isolated if you’re trying to control what gets pollinated. Could happen quick.

Ya I’d like to control it lol, I guess I should be finding out which of the 3 females has better traits to pollinate or something too right? I’ll get it moved as soon as this birthday party is done, I don’t need to be moving a huge pot plant onto my patio with tons of people and children running around, they just might ask questions😂 this timing sucks

Thank you eagle for the advice!

No problem, yeah I would pick the one that has the best structure, smell, growth rate, etc. Whatever you are looking for.

Ok I snuck the male into my closet so it’s not in the elements outside, and dry so pollen can stay viable hopefully. Threw it under a Giixer blurple.

Plucked off a bunch of leaves so they won’t be in the way of pollen dropping

Yesterday was week 2 marker of flower. Hairs are really starting to pop out! All Is going well for the most part. Had to keep the light dimmed at half power because any higher, the temps get too hot, even at half power I’ve been hovering around 86-91 degrees, depending on time of day. I wasn’t too worried about the heat issue since plants were growing amazing with zero signs of stress, BUT, one lady, I am worried might be herming out on me. Still can’t tell with my inexperienced eyes, just looks like more bumps then hairs on the top bud. Still early to tell for me.

Here’s the 3 plants, one topped, two normal.

Pretty buds looking good

Here’s the bud in question. It just looks different then the other two plants. Not dark green with bright white hairs. There’s fewer hairs and more light green bumps. Hopefully I’m just paranoid

I think your just paraniod. I took a good look with the pic enlarged and cant see any male parts. Usually I see male sacks on the lower flowers if its starting to hermie.
Plants look very healthy. :+1:
