Hi everyone. I’m pretty new here, but not new. Just for kicks, I popped a couple GSC “S1” seeds and one FloRida x F1 Durb from CSI, and a few regs from Bodhi: Granola Funk, Gelato x 88g13hp (x2), and Space Cake for an epic winter pollen chuck. (At least one gelato cross is male, so he’s getting forced along starting today.) Still a lot of sun left in these parts of Cali, and I’ve got indoor contingency space, and it really doesn’t matter if I fail…. So imma let the pollen fly! Good times!
The buried lede here is that the F1 durb does look just like the GSC plant, and its vigor is very similar. Not drawing any conclusions, but this looks like a cookie plant to me…
The GSC’s are in the shade (unfortunately) and the FloRida x F1 Durb is right in front of it. The gelato crosses started on the same day, and they are way behind. Space Cake is doing well inside, so I’m going to harden it off and hopefully it’s a boy and will drop some pollen in time, because I really want Soace Cake to be the daddy.
Yes, I know there are a bunch of things wrong with this pollen chuck, but it makes me hella happy just to think about, and I hope you have fun with your grows, too. Peace.
Thanks… yeah I signed on here so I could connect with other folks who enjoy everything about cannabis, like I do. Not too many people in my day-to-day enjoy it like us.
Totally stoked…. Looks like I might hook up some pollen from a frosty, smelly More Cowbell Minty Dub that @bigzach87 posted over on the Bodhi seed discussion. Looks like the male is about to drop, and my girls are starting to show bud clusters. Could probably start taking pollen now, but 10-14 days will be perfect. Then if I can just fly that plane through December….
Honestly, if I didn’t have such epic pollen, I’d probably let it ride. That seems to have worked pretty well once before, if you know what I mean.
On a final note, the Gelato crosses seem to be one male and one female. I’m either going to pass both to my brother in law, or just keep the gelato cross female and hit it with pollen if there’s enough left when it is ready for pollen.
I’ve never seen something this intersex. It appears to have female flowers at the nodes, but there are literally nanners or little sacks surrounding the stem between nodes. Never mind the flour/pollen mix on one of the female flowers. This freak is no longer in my garden.
A little better from my discal problems.
Preparing the “mini-DIY-lab” to make some tests with invitro culture… and pollinating the girls the crazy way.
