GC flowers Cap Junky and Chem 91

You will see clear results :joy: I originally used a product called Clear Line, which is 0.15% by weight or around 1500 ppm, until I found the amazon offerings. I bought a few bottles of HOCL 500 off Amazon, they used to only be $14.00, then when the price went up to $20.00/gallon I bought a tiny little $15.00 generator and it has been making enough for my needs ever since.

As a line cleaner, it will also help keep any feed/drain tubes clean too. I used it when I previously ran a recirculating system, and the rez and nutes were still crystal-clear after a week. I can’t wait to see how it works for your system.

I had been using SLF-100 but i’m not happy with it. It leaves an oil slick on top of my waterline, so if it’s not mixing… it’s not working. It was pricier also.

While i’m on the subject, the kelp additive from Megacrop leaves a ring on the res, your tools, your hand… and anything else ya stick in. I ditched that awhile ago. The MC stuff will only be used in anything i grow in soil.

Shout out to @Dope_Heffalump for reaching out and offering a pack of CSI Chem D s1 beans I had been looking for… thank you.

He also dropped a pack of beans that interest me very much, that I’ll keep unknown till I germ them. But they hold great promise!

I’m 5 weeks out from harvest on the 4x4, decided I’ll get some Cap Junky back in the jars. That’s really missed around here. I have 2x CJ in the cloner, just dropped a Chem D s1 and one of my Chem 91 s1 into the pool. That’s the plan, see how it goes.

The above should harvest and be in jars when I leave for the Smokey’s late Oct.

Got anything to back this?

Everything I can find says adding calcium hypochlorite or even straight bleach to acidic water, preferably 5-6.5 ph, creates hypochlorous acid.

China flu in the house… again.

I’m about to head in growroom and get anything I can prepared and topped off. Hopefully we get through it with minor issue.

I’ll post updates soon…

I forgot pics of the 2x4 but… oh well. I gave the plants their first heavy watering. 2x Cap Junky in growpito and 4gal autopots that will be hand fed this round. I did my first top dressing, 2 tsp of Roots Organic Terp Tea grow for the CJ.

The third plant is the HubbaBubba auto, which has been a runt since germination. 3 gallon smart pot with FFOF.

I’ll edit with pics tomorrow.

What sort of anything to back this do you need @HolyAngel ? Your posted pic shows that from Ph 4-7 Hypochlorous acid is HOCl + hydrogen ions + Chlorine ions. If we focus on specificity and research the chemical in question – the ingredient in pool shock (calcium hypochlorite) --Calcium hypochlorite is not HOCl… At its very base it has extra Calcium which is a highly reactive species

Note the assertion in the second picture: “due to the calcium residue (making the water harder)…”.

I know Calcium Hypochlorite is NOT HOCL, but The last pic there says it DOES produce HOCL.

Hypochlorous Acid. Plus some extra calcium, hydrogen, and chlorine ions which are whatever, the plant uses calcium and chlorine. It’s the fact it says HOCL is produced by adding Calcium Hypochlorite to water. So if that happens, I don’t understand paying 10x the price to buy pure hocl or some magic generator when everything I can find says it’s produced in the ph range we would feed plants at?

House is feeling better, we all ended up sick with China Flu this past week…

Managed to get yard work done and plants mostly looked after this week. Except the 2x RIL I was having issue with.

Here’s a quick pic dump…

Thank You brother…

Day 23 from flip on the CJ91. Seem to have 3 that want to get tall, and one shorter squatter example.

Tomorrow I’ll get each out and inspect them closely.

I know the Mac 1 is known to be frosty, but that g’pa glue seems to beat it in frostiness!

Iv been told that this plant may be a somewhat rare expression found within these s1 seeds. I have been reading up on a 300+ page journal on another forum looking for mention of it… without luck so far.

I’m going to attempt to reveg this plant. I do have a last pack of these beans to search through or reproduce in the future perhaps.

That’s first attempt to flower the Mac1, hopefully I can improve on it and put out results like @Papalag and @Jetdro have shared with us.

Here is a Chem D s1 and one of my Chem 91 s1 that will run together soon. Very excited for both.

Cloner is starting to produce roots but it’s slow going again. I owe out a Mac1 and two 91 to friends and hope to be squaring up very soon.

Off to the depot… need to find a timer to replace a failed one.

Your so welcome @Kaneboy chem fans like you are the ones who can truly speak from experience on how the beans/plants turned out.

These plants are being grown by an ICmag member, guy who I traded for the SIC. He’s sure got a green thumb, and is looking forward to his harvest.

These are CJ91, he reports 2 mild intersex of 8 plants.

Nice plants eh? I’ll be pulling my run of 4 out of the tent tomorrow for a close inspection.

How’s your pup doing?

She is hanging in there, lots of weight loss, mobility issues and can feel a few tumors on her. Vet said to make her comfy.

Spoiling her, son agonised over having her put to sleep before he left for Indianapolis this am. At the moment I can still get her out front to pee, if she needs to be carried that’s when I can’t handle it.

Revisit the idea when he gets the Indy job done and before he goes to Texas.

Day by day bud, thanks for asking.

It’s definitely a rough one when they get sick. You want to spend all the time with them you can. Sometimes the best thing for them is to let go. Give her more belly rubs and I heard steak whispered in my head

I’m retired so i’m the only one who spends the entire day with her. She loves when Pop’s mixes her bowls… we tend to eat alot of chicken, steak, rice, broccoli etc. Her favorite snack is those little cheese pretzels, although she passes up near nothing to be honest.

We have no issue letting go, but she doesnt appear to be in pain. No whimpering or other indicators of such. Just weakness, weightloss, age… we wouldnt let her suffer. She still jumps up when Dad pulls into driveway tho… tail wagging like a pup. The day is coming, but going to give her every day we can.
