Thanks man, can’t wait to fire one of these babies up.
I didnt get a chance.to post my photos as I spet a lot of time fighting off mites. She came out stunning though. More on the chem end from the smells. She definitly has notes of sour chemical garlic. The smell is almost soft and heavy on thr flavour. no slouch on potency, good up hybrid high.
They look great @greenmonster714 and @Kyumonryu!
Have you tried the silicone brushes?
Some people swear by them
I havent… i tend to trim when still moist if i did not already wet trim.
The Cap Junky is just such a pita, just so damn sticky whenever ya do it… even cut sugars need flicked off with trimmer tips.
Almost done the first 4, 4 more hanging, and 3 yet to chop.
It is really nice when you get one of those strains with only a couple fan leaves and no bud leaves
I hate trimming… I once loved cleaning up my final harvest but, after 36years of doing it, now I absolutely hate it… it has become pure drudge work. And me, the fool I am, I tend to prefer the buzz from the leafier variants
If I had a ride I’d be there to help
I wet trim myself as well
But some plants are so difficult to cut wet I’ll hang dry in large paper bags ( lawn waste paper bags are big enough to hold a big plant
@herojuana.tom 36 years? Hell, didnt think you were a day over 30. that’s a long time.
Pap’s… you stay put. You have bigger priorities. But appreciate the thought.
When I tell my coworkers who I hang out with regularly (the only older person to do so), many of whom are in their 20’s, how old I am, they dont believe me and say that they thought I was 15-20 years younger
I am of the belief that, having been retired for 20 years starting at age 21, I didnt age the way society expects so, I didn’t end up a crotchety old beat-down worker type like many do and I am still youthful despite my own self-percieved decrepitude
My early retirement sort of ruined me though… since I was independent and free, nobody could tell me what to do so, I became a little tyrant and, now, its hard to “be normal”, “fit in” and, “act my age” after that
Retired since 21!? Man i bet you have some really good stories to tell haha
Oh, I do.
Sadly, after the crash of 2009, I had to go to school to get a degree so I could re-enter the workforce in a STEM career…so I was only retired for 18 years
Working sucks, I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone… There is a reason that both working and childbirth are referred to as “labor”… both are painful
Aw man you had to go back to working that blows! I hate working, no matter how easy the money is it still just doesnt feel right. I hope i can figure something else out in the future
Paging @ifish …
Whats the best way for me to do a serious flush on my growpito? I want to know i got out anything residual before the next runs… i dont feel i have been doing so very well in containers.
I have quite a bit of dry material, wanted the smaller roots to turn to dust. Can i use the garden hose and flush the piss out of them, let sit a day then run a gallon or two of ph’d and charged feeding through them? Using 3.9 gallon autopot containers?
Switching over to Jacks at this time.
Flush with tap till runoff ec/ppm is same as what goes in ( tap )
Then reset ph and ec/ppm
My water is free ish , I just pay standard house fee no matter how much I use
Are you still top layering with fresh unset rock wool ?
Also are your roots still sittin wet or did the new auto pot mod fix that ?
Excellent…
Last rounds were done top feeding. I bought airbases… basically a riser thats about an inch tall that should keep the medium just above the waterline. Testing them on this upcoming seed run.
Yes on the dry top layering.
Appreciate…
My ocd would make me only use pretreated rock wool as new top layer if I had to do so
But generally I don’t do it
I use weed control fabric in my pots / crates so system nice and clean and no loss of rock wool
I do have better than a bag of new rockwool, and a pile of the old dry layers. Flush that too seperately and let it dry again before reuse.
The weed control in bottom of container? The autopot uses a root control disc… similar.
I have been meaning to make lids for the autopot containers, no need for dry layer. Im wondering if those cat litter bucket lids would fit. Your mention of weed blocker might work here as well…
The weed control as a lid would help with air
I’m assuming cat litter lid is solid ?
Hamme used clay balls as a topper to stop algae growth but still give pot access to air
I just use a telescopic metal back scratcher I got for crimbo to rake the top layer to help dry it out for the first week then all good
