Ghost og (orgnkid cut)

Nice work on the hunt.
Sounds like you have an awesome network behind the scenes.

She is a bitch to grow and Im FAR from really good grower but I usually do well. Just flipped a few today a few and have struggled with these ladies since right after clones were put in bags. Mostly taco leaf somewhat and have tried light up/down, humidity up/down and keeping the soil-less in the not to wet not to dry thing as well. Fed minimally with Jacks for RO @ half rate and the soil is fresh Coast of Maine. Dont have pix and they are not showing any other issues once the clones were up potted to 5 gal bags and other than this tacco thing which has me scratching my head they look OK. Not my best lookers but still good. Have good circulation and plants show some air movement but not like a hard breeze or anything.
reminds me of the cut of Chaco I finally got few years back and was even worse than this to shepherd thru a grow.

Does she smell like a hamster cage (cedar chips)?

taco leaves usually = light stress or need more magnesium, epsom salts.

I haven’t rubbed her trichs to get a better smell in awhile. Last time it was a strong lemon pinesol smell. I’ve heard a lot of stuff from lemon to baby shit terps on the original kush. Well and now cedar chips.
She definitely got over fed nitrogen (not real bad). I have 5 other strains in the room with the same feed too so that doesn’t help

Do you know if the cut you have is from the ghost og I put into a few peoples hands here on the site ?
If so I can assure you that is the original cut known as ghost og , If you got yours threw ASC then it is also the same exact plant I have and it comes from the person who gave it to ghost1.
She can smell of lemon/bleach/musk or straight sour gas with non of the before mentioned flavors, that is just what I’ve seen from slightly different age plants going into flower and cool vs hot weather.
I have another kush plant that smells like baby/puppy shit but that’s a whole another rabbit hole.
All I can say about the poo plant is I was smoking kush in los Angela’s around 2002 and that is not something most people can say. The flavor , look and smell of the poo plant is what I remember from back then that I fell in love with. It’s hard to describe besides sweet musky kush, she is far more potent then the others.
Here is my problem , it was sent to me as 92og , it was acquired in los Angela’s around 2002.
The 92og and josh d that comes from josh looks much different then this plant so that’s pause for thought,
Josh keeps a mom of ghost, josh d and 92, plus several others , that’s also pause for thought, I have not seen this myself but have been told this by more then one person who has walked threw his rooms.
Most if not everybody originally involved with these plants lost them at some point and there disagreement about things from the bottom up.
If any truth is real there will never be complete agreement amongst everybody , there is to much at stake in regards to money and ego and at some point peoples word is all we have and people are flawed by design.
The Tahoe and fcut show similarities to this plant.
There is more then one Tahoe floating around and this looks like some older pics of Tahoe but not what people currently pass around as Tahoe.
Og kush aka kush aka that dam weed from los Angela’s  is a never ending cluster f*ck

I got it straight from skunktek. He had a clone list and his Tahoe and this cut I posted a pic of where on the list. He told me he got it from his friend years ago.

The Tahoe OG I have I’ve run personally for nearly 10 years, and the hippie I got it from here in Taos had it for years prior, and it made it’s way here from Cali sometime before 2010.

All descriptions of 92 OG, JoshD, etc sound exactly like what I have been growing for a long time now. The plants do excellent in our short season high altitude climate. Terps are gassy minty with funk, and the high will put seasoned smokers on their ass if not careful.

I have wanted to compare to some of those others directly but so far no luck. I would trade for real, well sourced cuts like mine.

Nice looking plant , hard to compare one to the other from a picture but she has nice structure on her, similar to other pics I’ve seen.

Cold…if the plants are cold they will taco…:cold_face:

Id say if temps get below 65 during lights on they’ll taco.

Yeah, she has that typical OG viney growth pattern, and will produce 10lbs dry on one plant if you take her big enough. Huge, dense gassy minty funky buds. Clones super easily (1 week or so). Vigorous growth pattern, not old and slow.

Pretty looking nugs but definetly different then The ghost, josh d or what came to me as 92og. What you have looks very similar to loompas headband or suges pk, even shares some similarities to the SoCal master kush. Hard to tell from a pic considering what environment can do the the appearance of a plant but either way looks like some quality smoke

Two things, one I was running a 12/1 veg light schedule and for this one particular plant it tightens up the inter-nodal structure to 1/4 inch, which makes it look very different. I noticed that a lot of the lower growth wound up a little strange, even after transplanting outside during May. I’ve been running this cut for almost 10 years and I used to use 18/6 for veg. I have since switched this plant back to that schedule and I will get some better pics. Mine were not too good this year. It only affected this one cut, I have run many other seeds/clones on that light schedule fine. I have to veg for 4 months and then transplant outside, usually.

The other thing is yes, my environment is crazy at 8400ft in low humidity (~20-30% RH) with highly variable temperature swings from the upper 20’s to the upper 80’s and sometimes lower 90’s, depending on the time of the season and how the weather is. It is very different than California.

Hopefully I can get some indoor grows going with better documentation. I just haven’t cared to post much until we went legal last year.

Yeah those are some extremes , I’m around 2800ft elevation.

I find it difficult to compare OG’s usually because it adapts so quickly to environments and feeding regimens.
So the same cut can look so different

Yeah I’ve recently found the ghost cut loves vermifire soil , less space between the branches and way more fives growing then one next to it in roots organic.
