Goji OG Community Preservation Run & Beyond

Week 5 of flower over here and things are starting to get interesting in the tent now, smells are starting to come out and flowers are filling out nicely! No more signs of pollen sacks either. Been scouting daily. Doing my best to keep it dark and warm. The heat has been a bit of a challenge due to the temps here but no signs of stress have been observed. I’ll post a few shots of my favs!

Here’s N9 looking lovely below… One of my fav phenos as it has good height and structure and I’m loving the way the buds grow on the stem. Smells like fresh rubber or something… It has a sweet note with this rubber, subtle super glue, new pair of shoes out the box backend that’s really nice. The only thing is that she was one of the ones that threw some sacks but I think this was due to light stress or cold roots.

Here’s N4 below, which looks to me as more of a sativa leaner:

Here’s N1 below, which look more hybrid or indica dom, coming with the frost:

Here’s N8 below, which is my favourite looking pheno so far. Here colour really stands out from the rest… I call her “Ghost” because she has this grey/white calyx appearance with these really lime green leaves… stunning. A realllly nice lemon grass scent up front with that subtle super glue on the back end. It makes your mouth water actually… it’s like lemon candy or lemon grass… and maybe subtle earthy tones. I’m not the bets at this but it’s delicious.

Here are the two phenos that were the only ones not to throw sacks… N5 & N6. Both looking very sativa dominant to me. With and without flash:

The others are looking great also but these are standouts in my mind. N9 is stacking the thickest, her buds are the largest. I’m really hoping I can run here again without any issues.

So in total it’s been 5 weeks but only 1 week since pollination. Will check back soon.

That’s it for me for now.

Looking great man! Love watching yours develop as youre 2 weeks ahead of me. Mine are still in the skunky / rubber / chocolate / coffee smel region. Just started getting some resin development with berry smells on the resin.

Nice! Ya I’m getting a lot of similarities to that.

I guess I should also mention my feeding schedule. I forget to put some details in sometimes. The plants were top dressed a few weeks before flip and then at week 4 of flowering. Because I’m only in a 2 gal container I may have to top dress again but I doubt it since they are producing seeds.

I do a compost tea and sprouted seed tea weekly or semi weekly as well. The compost tea is composed of worm castings, alfalfa meal, kelp meal, humic acid, molasses, liquid fish, insect frass, EM1, TM7 and I switch between a product called Earth Alive Soil Activator and another called Inocucor by Synergro. I purchased both from Black Swallow Living Soils but they no longer carry the Inocucor because the company who makes it switched up the formula of microbes and it’s no longer as good! Which is shyte because the bottle I have, which is the original formula, is pretty amazing stuff and has a Microbial Consortium that really gives the plant an amazing boost!! I save that stuff for a really rainy day as it has shown to bounce plants out of any funk I have encountered so far.

I’ve recently learned how to multiply EM1 and will share the process here soon. I stupidly purchased a large bottle of this stuff and didn’t realize you can literally multiply the product. So next time I will purchase in small quantities and multiply from here on out.

As previously stated I believe in a very diverse population of microbes and try not to stick to one specific product when applying them to my garden. I’m not the most experienced grower but I have seen some really great results using this method so far and I try to boost the microbes weekly.

My basic sprouted seed tea is made with alfalfa seed. I sprout them with the EZ Sprouter sprouting system just until the tails are poking out (typically between 24-36 hrs depending on how warm it is). I blend them in water and add a dose of Ful-Power, Silica and Therm X70. I’ve been adding doses of Therm X70 whenever I water ANYTHING into the pots. To my basic sprouted seed tea, sometimes I will add extras depending on what I think the plants need, like freeze dried coconut powder and/or soluble Soy Amino’s when needed and at specific times (coconut for flowering plants and soy aminos for veg or seed producing plants). Once a week I will add magnesium sulfate (epsom salts) to the feeding as well.

For the remainder of the seed run I will probably bump up the liquid fish in my teas and continue with soluble soy aminos once a week.

This is not a Black Swallow commercial! lol… I just really like that company and tend to get all my products from them.

Hell ya bud… Give me a little time to sort my clones out first. I need to up pot them and make room then I will take in your males for my next run. I’ll DM you in the coming days, prob early next week!

Dude I think we’re sharing a brain sometimes when I check in on your garden, just started playing with the easy sprouter and SSTs, put together a BAS order the other day mainly to get my hands on the thermex, already pushing fish hydrolysate, I mean jeez. Might have to ask you for specifics in your tea recipe with all those ingredients! The garden looks insane man, I wish I could slip my nose in there for a good deep whiff. Keep it going till the finish my friend!! :v:t2::v:t2:

No problem! Here’s my recipe:

*2 days before my tea I take my worm castings and add water to moisten, sprinkle some ground up malted barley seeds on top and leave it slightly covered for approx 48hrs. It should look like this!

  • 5 gallons of water in a 6 gallon bucket (you can also do 4 gal water in a 5 gal bucket) I just like to leave a little room at the top for the splashing
  • 1.5-2 (sometimes more depending on time between teas) cups of worm castings
  • 1/4 cup of alfalfa meal
  • 1 tsp kelp flour
  • 1 tsp granular humic acid
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • 1 to 2 ml of EM1 per gallon
  • roughly a 1/4 cup of insect frass
  • 1 tsp TM7 (I haven’t figured out if it’s better to add this pre or post bubble… I keep forgetting to research it)

bubble that for 24hrs min.

That’s typically my base. To this I will sometimes add all or just 1 or 2 of:

  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup of liquid fish
  • 1 tbsp Earth Alive soil activator
  • 1 tbsp to 1/4 Inocucor

Yeahhhh buddy!

Reading through that could I hear my mother’s voice…
"if you are going to do that… do it OUTSIDE!

My intuition tells me before. The micro nutrients and humics should be good for the microbes.

Now it just sounds like my wife…

Ya I thought the same! Typically I do it before. Thanks for your input.

If you haven’t checked Microbe Man out, it’s worth it!

And Gil Carandang is another great source for making micro beasties and such.

Nothing too crazy to report. I’ve started laying off the compost teas in the last 2 weeks and only fed one sprouted seed tea. I’ll do a really mild compost tea in a few days where I’ll leave out the kelp and alfalfa. Starting to see some burnt leaf tips so just trying to concentrate on light feedings from here on out and keeping the microbes happy.

Here’s some pics.

Smells are on point with these…berry, a bit of lemon and earthy/sour. Most smells are similar besides N8 which is outstanding still. Lemon/lemon candy lemon grass, sweet sour and just tingles your tastebuds.

N1 with great structure

love the bud structure on this, visually

N2 is the darkest and most rich green colour of all phenos

N3 is the stretcher, along with N9 but N3 has a skinnier bud structure and longer colas

N4 got a clog in the water line and was cut off from water for about 36hrs. She’s fully recovered after I fixed the issue but has since started fade and crisp up a little… to be expected but just goes to show what a little stress can cause. She thinks her life is ending so shes trying to finish up. Hopefully the seeds won’t be too affected.

N5 and N6 below are the two plants that didn’t show intersex traits. They’re also almost identical with similar heights and bud structure. Leaning more towards a sativa structure, airy, elongated… but still showing some girth. I think this will be a nice hybrid smoke maybe… obv too early to call that but still, just sharing my thoughts.

N7 is definitely the greasiest. Her resin is abundant but it’s not sticky, just really greasy. I think that’s a good quality so I have my eye on this one. Lower bud is really looking like a few Bubba Kush buds I’ve seen in the past. The clone of this one isn’t doing real well so I might try a re-veg at the end.

N8 is one of my fav phenos as mentioned before. She’s still got the best smell by far. I mean, they all smell great but when you go around and smell them and then you come to this one it just snaps my head back… It’s just brighter and more lemony/sour/candy/lemongrass than the rest. A really nice quality IMO. Very sensitive to nutes considering they’ve all been fed the same and she’s showing signs of what looks to me like nute burn. I could be wrong so feel free to chime in.

N9! Best overall structure IMO. Just a real beauty. Perfect height, structure and bud structure is like showreel style. Great smell and all of that just threw nanners during flower when none of the rest did. She’s also closest to the air vent and the cold air so when I run her again I’m going to be extra careful with this one.

Just ran out of likes but they’re all looking good man, banners and all, I’m sure you’ll be able to work the kinks out next round. Keep it up dude finish well

Great report! Looking good! It’s interesting I found that some phenos are draught resistant, but others aren’t. 2 of my 6 showed no issues when I didn’t water them in time, the other 4 yellowed up big time. Those 2 shot up my favorite list as a result  easygoing traits ftw. I also noted one that was much greasier in resin - unfortunately my least stable tall pheno.

OMG, that are awesome buds. Very well done
