Good news everybody! MORE Act. Will it pass in the Senate?

Not sure how on topic this is but I love that quote “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country”

@Joshj A free market economy,

in the USA? we have one of those here? point me to it as I have not seen it since I was

a youth in the 1960’s

Well it’s really about how the word free is defined. I believe that we in America, at least, have a free economy. That is what is protected and upheld by the government, and as an individual what should be strived for. A free market is the only economy which is truly a economy, and as a successful business individual one must follow the dictums of free market; or for lack of a better term “be kicked out”. Because, you have lost all trust, by isolating yourself from your business peers.

when the evening and nightly news stopped being the loss leader of the big networks, back in the mid - late '80s, with their sensationalized news making profits started killing the truth. big money (the powerful), for the most part, rule. they never pay. they own the lobbiest, who own the politicians. they also own the media, which in turn, sway a lot of sheep…

regards,

Personally I don’t see why a simple plant can be outlawed and demonized by a certain few people who don’t care. Free the weed all the way. Free market with a civil and free society sound wonderful to me. Supply and demand will dictate the value of the product.
Just a thought, could be the smoke talking. :peace_symbol:

Thought I would put this out there. Say a private “BETA” market is created by the more act…so the grower takes his high grade, impurity free mj to the market and gets a standard $4200 a pound for the best weed. The “market” then sells in an open market environment for (say) $6750 to a retail vendor. In this “BETA” the profit is then given back to the grower, he receiving the full market price. This would only work during the beta market as it is a technical test. After the beta period, a corporation owned at least in part by the growers would take control.

Once it’s federally legal it won’t be a worth $4200/lb. more likely $42 and even the best high grade $420/lb.

Cherry pick! NOT IF I’M IN CHARGE!!

Charish the economy, nourish the economy.

To get their tax dollars, they might have to make it more worth it to buy commercially grown Corp buds vs the power and effort it takes to grow your own. Like the people who don’t garden and ask why you spent that much time for a basket of tomatoes.

I don’t want to pay tax dollars…do you? Imo income taxes are useless and in a “beta” market economy there would be no taxes as everything is monitored and watched to analyze the market and see how it will be TAXED IN THE FUTURE.

No, wouldn’t want to, but you know it’s going to.

Unfortunately I believe that monopolization will happen. Either by big tobacco, pharma or others.

Maybe it should be put in a trust. Like if you wanna grow to make $$$ you can, but if you have no interest the government is going to do it.

like social security? or Penison Trust Fund?

Like a government controlled trust, like what they will eventually do with drugs profits. So…the government grows the bulk of it and keeps the profits to use for charity, drug (hardcore) cessation, what ever. The small percentage of people who want to grow do and get paid, but the bulk is carried out by the government.

do you indeed believe any of this? about a government controlled trust

no offence just asking as I want to know

Thank you

Im just responding to the negative comments

edit: I believe that drugs like cocaine and heroin should be in a government controlled trust.

I don’t like negativity…I’m a winner.

that you are :slight_smile:

Once they regulate the hell out of it, it will be 4200 just in taxes on that pound. The blackarket will continue to dominate the market.

Putting it into a government trust?!? LMFAO…
Ya, that’s a good idea :rofl::joy:
That’s an oxymoron onto itself.
