I paid around £95 for the 22 lb bag to the UK so making a gallon of solution costs me more than double than what it costs the USA members to make. It still worked out a lot cheaper than the RAW nutrient range I was originally going to use.
I switched from Canna Terra to MC after a series of positive tests. I have to add Cal-mag (Herculean Harvest) since I use RO water. I also add some more Silica and Kelp to the mix + my own PK Boost (Ginormous)…Plants have never grown better and I am saving $$ in the process. I also have been using up some Botincare Sweet Raw, and when it is gone…will happily switch over to GLN sweetener/carbs.
hi Trevor, sorry for the issue. We are out of stock of the free samples, and they will back in stock in November, and yes the Overgrow promo code will also come back once we have stock of the smaller sizes again. We are also setting up Canada warehouses now in Ontario, and also Amazon.ca so shipping will be much quicker and cheaper in the future.
However the shipping rates are not set by us, its through USPS. You can check here. Just calculating the shipping cost from Canada to USA is not the same as reversing it, since its complicated I can’t really explain why. You can check with UPS/FedEX/DHL/USPS the prices, USPS is the least expensive and you can see the actual rates here
So yeah it sucks currently if you want to order a small size, the 1000g size is $15 and shipping is around $20, so combined cost is ballpark $35.
So just stick around until November, and things should be much better for Canada, UK and EU as well, we will have local shipping warehouses but its a bit of a task to setup we have been working on it for about 5 months now.
What a great response @GreenleafNutrients thanks for clearing things up I look forward to recommending your product to growers in newly legalized Canada!
My MegaCrop got wet during recent storms and a roof leak in my shed. Any suggestions on how to bring it back to useable condition?
How wet?
Do you have a good way to dry it out without over heating it? Warning - there will be smells You dont want to cook the ingredients. If so, dry it out, then break it up into smaller pieces and use as normal. From what they have said earlier in the thread, it should still be perfectly usable.
hi, you don’t need to dry it out, since its water soluble anyways, you can just mix it with water and it will still dissolve fully.
I disagree with it being totally water soluble. Every time I mix a batch up I always end up with residue sitting at the bottom of the bucket. If I ever decide to do any hydro other than bubble buckets I’m gonna have to mix and then filter it somehow before I add it to the rez. The thing is that’s an extra step I’m willing to do as I love this stuff for its simplicity and for how well it works
Thanks @GreenleafNutrients. That crossed my mind. If I dissolve it in water, how would I measure it?
Probably use an EC/PPM meter if you have one.
Go the ec meter route as it’s universal
I cannot recommend any cheap EC meters. I went through several, from $13 to $145. My favorite - by far - is the Blue Lab Truncheon meter.
Not cheap at $98, but it works very well. Unlike most other EC meters, this one never needs calibration (that saves money and time), never needs the probe replaced (saves you more money - you just clean it off every so often), and its super fast - you get a solid reading within 1 to 2 seconds, and it gives you EC, CF, PPM 500, and PPM 700 - all at a glance.
The only downside is if you have serious OCD about needing to know your EC/PPM to the last decimal. This meter reads to the nearest 100 uS, or .1 mS, or 50 PPM on the 500 scale. As far as Im concerned, plus or minus 50 PPM is more than close enough for what we do. That was a hard thing for me to get used to, but I love it now.
The best thing about it is just works. No futzing around, or worrying or fiddling or adjusting. Just stick it in the solution, take your reading, rinse in tap water, and your done.

I got mine for £40/$52 on flea bay.
It works perfectly and it’s 100% waterproof incase you ever drop it in the solution
I use this, cheap reliable and accurate. I use it every day and it’s still as accurate as the day I bought it.
@GreenleafNutrients, are you still on track for Canadian distribution in November? Running out of my sample and have to say it has been both easy to use and quite good to the plants, not to mention cost effective. Only have a couple weeks worth left…
It might be moving to early December, we are waiting for some of our new bags to be printed, not sure the exact timeline on that, will find out soon probably by Nov 6th will have clearer date.
Bonjour @GreenleafNutrients!
Just checking in on your progress with Great White Northern distribution - getting close, or not so much?
Have a good one,
HH
I mix 100g MC in 1000ml RO water. 10ml = 1g. I actually weigh mine out, 80ml gives me 800ppm (0.5 scale) in 4ltr RO. It works well.
I dont understand the question your asking. Are you wanting them to give you a free sample that you can feed to 70 plants? Or are you asking how to use the feed calculator for a grow system with 70 plants?
If its the latter, then you need to enter the volume of water in your hydro system or the volume of the container you use to feed your plants in soil. The feed calculator doesnt work on number of plants. It is used to calculate how much MC to add to how much water to get the correct EC/PPM levels. Number of plants doesnt enter into it.
