It’s a standalone. Works great!
Have you tried the bud explosion or do you just use MC? Been looking at the other products
For the most part I just use MC. I also occasionally use koolbloom, but all PK supplements like that are usually pretty similar…I have a big bag of it that will last me years lol
So love using mega crop, yet I still manage to muck things up from time to time due to being busy at times. I’ve been following the feed guide and have a question in regards to their chart:
Veg 1 - Seedlings, Small Plants
Veg 2 - Normal Veg
Veg 3 - Extended Veg
I know each plant is different in regards to strength but just focusing on the stages.
Would small plants be up to week 2?
Norma Veg - 2weeks +
And extended would be stretch?
I’ve yet to have a burn giving the recommended strength at seedlings so no issues there, just wondering when I would transition to the next.
Its hard to say exactly what the different time periods would be, a lot of different factors to consider, however if you already used it at a certain dosage you can just use that as a baseline.
So if the plants are looking healthy, and good green color, then you are doing fine! If they are too light/weak, then you can increase the dosage modestly, and too dark/burning then lower the dose.
Sounds good. I’m trying my best to keep an eye on them and adjust as needed. I’m still awaiting to have a green plant from start to finish lol. I’ll figure it all out in time!
Finishing it might be normal to have discoloring of leaves, that is just part of the growing cycle. But at least until mid-late bloom there should be pretty deep green colored leaves!
If not, just raise the dose a bit
I agree with @GreenleafNutrients not sure stage matters to much with how there nute works ive used both formulas now and it’s all about the plant not the stage or that’s how I go about it with mine just keeping them a healthy green til it’s time to use up the leaves as it buds then ur good to go good luck with ur grow @cdnBuddy
Luck is what I need. I think I’ve been confusing light burn with nutrient burn this whole time! Which leads me down the road of deficiencies as I back off on feed.
Hello, if my water ph is 8… decrease or increase that? and how much? I’m meaning 1 gallon water mixing only MEGA CROP.
thanks.
Depends on what ur growing in and it’s normally a gram to a gallon I think I don’t have the bag on me atm
You need to add your megacrop then once mixed drop the ph down to around 5.4 in dwc and coco. In soil or compost I’d not alter the ph at all as most soils/compost has buffers that will adjust the nutrient solution to the correct ph level.
Assuming your tap water is in the mid to high 7s, I find about 800-1000ppm of MC leaves you in operable pH range from mid 5s to low 6s when used in coco.
Awesome…That’s a full room, right there…

Should I taper off MegaCrop in late flower? I am getting some Nitrogen Toxicity in week 7. I use 5-6gr per gal all the way through the grow. Thanx!
I’m at 850ppm start to finish bloom period as im running autopots semi perpetual. Veg tent gets built up from 100ppm weekly 200ppm per week until I move them over to flower. Yield is not great but plants are happy with no burning or deficiency. I have noticed though the v2 megacrop fed plants stretch a lot more than the v1 plants did
I taper mine off to half strength for last couple weeks of flower. Last week is usually a very light (300ppm or so) feeding.
During that stage the plants arent using a whole lot of what you’re giving them anyway. Good to check runoff especially during this time as it can spike pretty high due to the afforementioned reasons.
Looks like what you’re seeing @oleskool830
@GreenleafNutrients I was wondering if ur doing samples on the other additives you have im wanting to try some of the other things you got
yes, if this is the case you can taper off Mega Crop. You can use optional PK boost (0 nitrogen) also, or not use it.
If your yields are low, then you can increase the dose of Mega Crop until you notice problems with N levels. Also you can add in the 0 nitrogen PK booster during bloom.
not currently, possibly in the future
