Greenleaf Nutrients MEGA CROP Q&A/Support/Pictures/Feedback/Anything thread

this is pretty good advice. Cannabis uses a LOT of Calcium (Ca) mostly during veg phase, then Ca needs taper down and Magnesium (Mg) becomes more important.

Part A has over 6% Mg, so extra should not be needed in the form of Epsom salts.

@GreenleafNutrients, is this promo still available.
Looking forward to giving this a whirl. I looked on line and didnā€™t see a 610g option.

Peace. What I would like to know is I have the MC regular ( dunno what version it isā€¦ but what are the clumps that eventually form in bag?? I try not to have too many of these in when I weigh out the doses, but I also encounter situations where I get a scoop that is all the big clumps and little of the granular. Is that okay to use like that or should I try and keep it even as much as possible? Iā€™ve been using the basic MC for a few yrs now since I won it on RIU a few yrs back and I like it alot but this is an issue for me as I canā€™t keep it from clumping up.

Store the bag in a 5 gallon bucket w/lid. Wonā€™t help you now, as it has absorbed moisture. FYI only. Stay safe/be well.

Zip lock bags or contractor garbage bag and squeeze all air out. Will stay non clumped.

As these 2 said about how to store it to prevent it in future but for the current stuff you have that is clumped up, it is fine to use. It does not degrade in any way when it absorbs some moisture. Just break the clumps up before you add them to the water.

Not sure if anyone else has done this, but Iā€™ve run through my first 2000 gram bag of A (have more B left) of the 2 part, and also have the candy and the bud explosion, and I store all of it in the original bags placed inside an insulated cooler. The cooler is stored in a climate controlled room (not the grown room) with a constant humidity between 55% and 60%. Everything is exactly as it was the day I got it. Zero clumping.

the bags are airtight for the 1 and 3kg sizes, so as long as there is a good seal no air will get in.

The 10/15kg sizes arenā€™t air tight, but you can clothespin the inner bag to help keep it mostly dry. If you live in humid or hot area, you can also consider moving to a 5 gallon bucket. with lid.

I have a 2kg bag of version 2 I believe and itā€™s kept zipped tight and still absorbed a lot of water so those big balls have all turned black except the ones more than half way down the bag. Iā€™ve put that bag inside another bag with colour-changing drying crystals and theyā€™ve all gone pink instead of blue. Those chunks are the calcium nitrate I believe and go black as when they get moist the granular stuff sticks to them and makes them go dark.

Very hard to determine if you are feeding the right balance of nutes so not good the way it is. I separated some of the powder and it doesnā€™t absorb water from the air like the chunks do. I took out some to use separately and after a bit in just a baggie it turned to slime.

Still works tho.

:peace:

@GreenleafNutrients ,
I have 2 kg of Part A , AND i have a good amount of the Original megacrop which i use- but later in flower the N is too high etc -
Anyway ,can i just switch to part A from Original megacrop a few weeks into flower - leaving megacrop alone.?
I didnā€™t see any point to me getting the Part B , is there any reason i ā€˜needā€™ part B too .?
Part A looks like ā€˜full flower feedingā€™ Nutes .?!
Any info will be much appreciated ā€¦

Iā€™m wondering what remnants can be detected in the soil after a run with megacrop and sweet candy? Iā€™m doing autoflowers which for me go 65-85 days. Iā€™m using fox farm ocean forest soil with perlite. I mostly have no run-off when watering. I use just water for the first 30 days and then do the megacrop and sweet candy for 30-45 days. So now whatā€™s in my soil after I harvest?

yes, Calcium and Nitrogen source

So what the consensus on the new MC? Is it still plagued with issues? What about the 2 part line?

Iā€™m running a top feed recirculating system with rockwool cubes.

Better than the previous versions, and the 2 part is clean in comparison to the 1 part but personally i didnā€™t find it did as well in the early stages, but mid and on has done well only one run with the 2 parts so far though.

I ran both the new 1 part and the 2 part the last 2 runs. The 2 part is cleaner on the ebb and grow system. The 1 part is much better than previous formulas and still might have a little much N the plants liked it and stayed nice and green until flushing. I would go with the 2 part for better control or the 1 part for ease of use. Just go lighter on the nutes the last few weeks and use a bloom booster.

I used the 2 part on my ancestral skunk seed run. It works well, like others have said, much cleaner that the one part and gives more control over N in flower.

But honestly itā€™s pretty much the same as jacks or any other 5-12-26 fert, just supposedly has some aminos that the others dont.

@GreenleafNutrients I used up my first two bags of mega crop, I just recently ordered a larger bag to use on my seedlings and veg crop. This new stuff is grey and not the same as what Iā€™ve been using. The pH is off the charts in the low end, it takes about 4ml of pH up to stabilize. My plants are showing deficiencies all over the place.
Whatā€™s the problem with the constant changes in your formulas. Iā€™m kool with you guys altering your formula for performance, but the stuff that was working should still be available. If youā€™re gonna alter the ingredients, do so with a different label. Needless to say, imo this new grey shit has my garden in shambles.

Hey @GreenleafNutrients, when will you have Bud Explosion in stock in smaller quantities than 1/2 pallets? Also, how can you have 1/2 and full pallets available NOW, but not have anything smaller? Why not break down a 1/2 pallet into smaller quantities?
