Grove Bags.... Has anyone tried them on a cure?

If it were me I would pull buds out every day for a bit . Had they hung 12 to 15 days no , but 4 days , keep a close eye on them .

Even coming out of my Cannatrol I will open the Groves and dump bud out every day for 1 or two days till I’m happy at stable 58 or so .

After that leave alone . Opened one yesterday that was sealed 4 weeks ago at 58 percent , came out 58 percent and pretty ficking perfect

If they dip too low , just crack a corner and blow into them . Will raise humidity and actually helps . One good breath will bring up a quarter pound one 2 or 3 points so not much on the ounce bags , just a hint of breath .

Gotta credit @ifish for this one, works perfectly too . Thanks fishy

This is Dialing it in. Great info

Just went and did this to a couple jars. That’s a good easy trick. Thank you!

I have found not stuffing the bags helps if not heat sealing (I haven’t heat sealed so can’t speak to that) and don’t just rely on the ziplock I found that if I roll the tops a couple times at least past the seal and clip each side seemed to even out the drying.

Ok, I’ve finally read the whole thread. It seems that there is a common consensus here, lol. I too have always struggled with the dry/cure(mostly due to my environment), and like others here, am quite forgetful when it comes to burping jars. Which is also a PITA anyways. Especially when you got 20+ jars on a schedule. Plus, I cannot invest in a Cannatrol at this time.
So, y’all have me sold on Grove Bags. Thank you for the great discussion! :slightly_smiling_face:
I’ll probably order straight from the manufacturer unless someone around here can point me to a cheaper source or promotional code.

Well duh, we all know they can be found on Amazon. :yum:
But, in the past others have said that making your own mixed pack through Grove Bags was actually a better deal. I’m currently researching this. :+1:

Ya they are. Amazon just jacked their prices.

I always try and buy stuff straight from the source anyways. So that’s good.

I have bought from both.

No, I haven’t got around to it.
Not like I’ll be harvesting any “buds” anytime soon, lol. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I tried them for this harvest and I feel like I got totally ripped off. They don’t regulate moisture at all, they only seal it in. You still need to add a Boveda pack to regulate moisture.

Well fucking hell, I was using turkey bags for this exact purpose twenty years ago. They are sold in a pack of 3 for $4 at any grocery store. One Grove bag the same size is $8. Save your money.

I’ve had the opposite experience. That sucks. 14 day dry and into grove. Beautiful cure and everything is on point.

So, it sounds like if you get the dry right, there isn’t really a difference between a jar and the grove bag? but the bags come in a bunch of different sizes whereas the jars don’t really, are more expensive, and take up more room per quantity. That sound about right?

I just bought some 1/4lb and 1/2lb grove bags from the manufacturer that I should get soon and will see how they do. Be nice to not have to deal with a bunch of jars of one strain when I could just put it all in one bag instead.
