Grow room diary,take #2

Bigger pot ,bigger plant , longer veg better lighting they all equate to bigger harvest but also the option to change the style of growing to suit your environment scrog net super cropping, fimming, all improve yield ! Genetics also big factor . Hope your next run improves x3

Yeah brother! Thatā€™s the spirit! Iā€™m piecing it together as fast as I can , for the last two months Iā€™d be waiting for something to chop so that I could reuse the soil, just couldnā€™t afford much, Christmas whew! The best so far !also the brokest in years!,but I see the light,if I can be patient enough to wait for the right color trichomes hehe,Iā€™m actually pretty patient about it all now
Peace and love brother! welcome, and thank you for the boost!

In an effort to improve,Iā€™ve just realised that I can get bigger finished plants by using the normal height bathroom (current veg area) for my flower/bud room.and I will use the crawl space for my mothers and cuts, that will happen tonight

Good day all, today I am trying to figure out how to make a plan (?), find some direction (?),I have a bunch of starts, momā€™s and a few male cuts as well,I also have a few cuttings that Iā€™m waiting to root ,I still lose so many, I would like to do another round of cuts for practice, and to give away,I didnā€™t pick up a heat mat tho,I found them as low as $29, next chance I get I will.i would like to clear enough room for an OG preservation run, would love a chance to give back,am so grateful for all the generosity and kindness, the quality of my life has improved so substantially,in so many ways, thank you and peace

what males do you have?

and what females?

@Sebring @MomOnTheRun are you guys looking for another acre to Overgrow?

I do believe that I have more Dank Sinatra seeds, I believe that @cannabissequoia gave me 3or 4 goji og beans, man Iā€™m dying to crack those babies, otherwise, the skunk 91ā€™s (?), I was really hoping that I didnā€™t mess up the g13hp88 seeds, those would have been so nice,I also won some hash plant beans from paradise seeds, was thinking that maybe a potential cross or direction, they named the strain ā€˜Omar Sharifā€™
Sorry the gojiā€™s have been crossed with oss

Gg4xzkittlez, started from seed,pheno/plant#2

Same plant ,different angle, can only guess that she was put in to flower with the others, found only one piece of tape that is marked Dec 2 on a different plant,I believe extremely cold night time temps have slowed everything down

Mostly milky trichs, only a couple amber resin heads

Would love some feedback on when to chop, hehe, anxiously waiting!Iā€™ll be fine, canā€™t be long now, sure donā€™t want to mess it up by chopping to early! Hope you enjoy, peace

Iā€™m not at the momentā€¦just planted Lucky Charms and Lucky 7ā€™s for a quick bud run then seed run with the clones, Dr Mendo is next up in the micro cabinet for seeding, 1 last DBHP girl to pollinate with boy #7, in the middle of Colorado Cookies Auto comparative with 1 more strain on its way and starting a couple Canadian Sativaā€™s when they get here for outdoors :stuck_out_tongue:

They look to be just about doneā€¦canā€™t see any hairs on those nice fat frosty buds. From here, its just a matter of preference of the high/stone based on the percentage of cloudy vs amber trichomes. When in doubt try it out

Iā€™d say 2 weeks to go. :persevere:

Buuuuuuutā€¦ ā€¦for ā€œscienceā€™s sakeā€ you wonā€™t hurt anything by taking the top/main bud early & then waiting for the rest. It may even allow more light to the rest.

Basically certain that the cold is slowing things.

Have you considered growing out males, pruning to a small flower cluster & just collecting the pollen for later? could have a library of pollen.

Yes my man! That brings to mind, selective pruning to increase light to the lower buds? I would love to have some sort of working understanding of that process, does it work? What do I have to understand about fan leaves, before I remove them? I always have assumed that they collect the energy for the corresponding bud?I guess that I always thought it is best to make things healthiest as possible for the complete duration (?),and that would mean the least amount of stress(due to excessive pruning),I would also like to add that ,I was looking to find some insider info about how to run these intersex prone cultivars, without triggering the plants to herm, first on the list is not to prune or thin at all,I think an easy transition from 18/6 to desired bud cycle lighting, for me thatā€™s 11 hrs light/13 dark,so a half hour at a time of extra darkness, until I reach that, and no light leaks, sorry I must run for now, peace

This was addressed very nicely in the latest KIS podcast.

The basic gist of it was that lower leaves do not produce as much photosynthesis as larger ones getting more light. So removing them was, in fact, beneficial to the plant as a whole.
