2 of them are like that. None of the other plants look like this.
Consensus people… Balls???
Yup balls from my location.
It’s too early to tell for me. I always wait until I see clusters forming.
It’s always so hard to tell wen they are that young, give it a day or so definitely keep an eye on it like @ReikoX said wait till u see clusters that’s a dead giveaway.
No rush - be sure
yes. good to catchi it early on.
Well, another day and those were def balls on 2 of my supposed fem plants. 2 Maui Wowie in the green waste can. Only 1 left. If it’s not a girl there will be no MW grown this year. I am shocked at how early and profoundly those male bits showed up. I’m bummed.
The one I had show up was quick to show also. The female I’d kept I stressed her by bending the top and she seeded herself and probably a plant on each side of her also , hoping the whole room didn’t get it .
I’m crossing my fingers that the last one is a girl. This was the number one strain I was looking forward to growing this year
That is a real bummer @Meesh . I grew 2 Maui Waui on my last run, 2 totally different Phenos, it’s a long time favorite strain of mine. Hope the 3rd one produces well for you.
Yes she’s quite the plant I also was looking forward to that strain . Even though she’s seeded the buds are large and solid the smell off her along with being sticky are right up there , think she’ll make some excellent hash .
I haven’t smoked MW for probably 3 decades! Fingers crossed!
I’m glad you told me about the males. I was only gonna germ one seed thinking they were fems. At least I have one last chance
The one I have left is about 10 days younger and was the replacement for the runt. Maybe it’s the lucky charm. Right now it’s more bushy and squat looking female, but you know how that rolls.
I got my fingers crossed for ya .
Gorgeous! I can smell it from here!
Funny thing is they are small, but they just looked like males in structure to me. Normally I wouldn’t have even been eyeballing them this closely yet. They just looked suspect. They really developed those clusters and prominent balls on quite a few nodes last night. My supposed fem blue dream looks suspect as well. Can’t trust seed banks anymore sheesh.
Yeah well clearly you got a growers eye for such things. It is a shame they ended up as males but I have hope for your third one. I had never grown a reg seed until I came to OG personally so really rare to find a male. It’s actually been interesting to me watching a couple male plants show sex and mature to the point where I am taking pollen from them daily. OG has opened my eyes to a whole new part of growing and I am truly grateful for that.
