There is something to be said for my lengthy posts in these grow logs! I’m so glad I was reminded.

Sorry for the late reply. I found the 2 main phenos that you are encountering, and both were excellent. The bigger-leaved ones had bigger buds it seemed, but had a bit longer internode spacing than the smaller-leaved ones. I found the garlic spiciness to be present in both phenos. To be honest, they were so simialr to me that when I harvested I didn’t separate them at all in to different jars to cure, but all of the buds were some of my favorite plants I have grown. I took my last harvest and sealed them up with boveda bags in food storage bags, removing all of the air and compressing the buds together to cure. After 7 months I opened one of those bags and it was super dank and reminded me A LOT of old school weed like we used to get back in the late 70’s when I first started smoking.

Both are so nice! Still not sure of the sex on the second pic, but it will be a hard decision. Look at these beauties…

The first may actually get more air flow and she’s a monster

I’m starting to notice daily growth on them all now, they are picking up their pace with the longer days. I’ll give them all some liquid fish tomorrow.

they are both beauties! If you only have room for one, I would go with the one with the bigger leaves, that seems to be the predominant pheno of the ones that I grew. The bigger leaved ones seemed to be more garlicy, though the haze is in there, and the thinner leaved ones were more hazey with garlic too, so it depends on which one you wanna grow

Looking at them in pics, I’m now leaning towards the first as well, less leafy and better air flow. Plus, I think she will get massive! I really want to do her justice!

I know that will be a nice big tree, I can’t wait to see how she does

Same! Thank you again for these wonderful seeds. I’m absolutely thrilled so far! Can’t wait to see her bud!

Oh man, I bet you can’t wait to get them in their new place. It should keep insects off of you, too, while you’re in there. Make sure to grab a picture of your plants smiling.

It’s hot here. Glad I didn’t put anything in the ground yet. My volunteers that came up are doing fine. I don’t water or feed them. This is an observation grow. It could become my new method in the future. They don’t flinch at a week or so without water. Stay cool. I hear you guys are even worse and with little water. Texas is telling their people not to use their AC for a while. I hope this trend improves soon. Happy gardening!

Did a spinosad drench on all the plants including the ones inside the net. Figured if they had any hangers on, there are no longer any ladybugs or predators in there to kill them off. Every time I looked through the loupe I’d see an aphid staring at me. I’d say there was a max of 5 bugs on each plant on the outside ones. The lady bugs been keeping them in check, but I’d get the heebie jeebies thinking they are gonna jump in my hair or something. lol

So, the other day when we put up the net, we were busy and I saw a black mushy piece of new growth on the very top of the Kashmir plant and I remember pinching it off and telling Dad that I didn’t like that, whatever it was. Well, while I was in there spraying I was really looking at it and found another black mushy piece of new growth. Nothing I had ever seen before. So here I am thinking it’s some new plant disease that I’ve never seen before wondering if I should just pull the whole plant up when low and behold, part of that mushy black stuff was a baby caterpillar, it looked dead or on it’s way already. I had never noticed them munching my shit in veg before. I’ve seen them on my petunias and stuff and destroying buds but never the baby foliage on my weed plants. I think it will be okay now, but jeez! I’m glad the net is up cuz obviously the Kashmir is like catnip to the pillars. Hope it doesn’t slow it down too much. The plant may be topped a second time in a couple weird spots though now. I’ll keep my eye on it.

@GMan they said we were supposed to have a heat wave this week. It’s tops out at my house tmw at 84 degrees. Guess it didn’t really reach me at the coast. Inland areas, high desert and our valleys are in the 100’s though. I thought it was gonna be much worse.

EDIT- Do you guys think it would be mean to buy some lady bugs and put them in the tent, just in case? I mean if it is truly bug free they will die from starvation eventually. Not sure what their life spans are in general.

Yeah I’d put some in the tent, might as well put all the plants in there too.

Me too!!! Especially the cheese grown outdoors, it is pure nostalgia to me! Weed like the old days! Cheese is Dad’s absolute fave from the last 3 years. I can’t wait to try the Port Wine Cheese! GDPxCheese or is it CheesexGDP @SamwellBB? Really thinking the gdp is gonna give it even more of that overripe dark fruit taste at the finish. It’s exciting!

So, I pruned the Garlic a bit and snapped all her branches before I planted her. Brought all of the unsexed and extra female containers inside the net. Duh! Why didn’t I think of that last night? Thanks @Pedro_Bann! Did that first thing this morning. All the containers got their weekly inoculation of Mammoth P and a full dose of fish and kelp fert. They all looked a bit pissy with some yellowing on the bottom leaves. I’m admittedly a light feeder and have only given them 1/2 strength until today. I’m always nervous that I’m gonna burn them and as usual when it’s time for around their 3rd feed they have gotten pissy with me. Like what the hell, Lady! That organic shit tastes good! Why you starving us! The ground plants are dark green and beautiful though, don’t even see what I call transplant leaves that need removing. I always get like one or two yellow leaves from transplant. They look happy as hell out there in the ground. Watered the ground plants thoroughly as well. Either tmw or Saturday, I’m gonna go back in and prune and snap some branches on the other ground plants. Just get some extra air flow and remove anything near the ground aka bug ladders. I didn’t buy any straw for mulch this year. Last time the shipping was a fortune and my bale wasn’t very compact. Didn’t cover the whole patch even. Kinda irked me… Do you guys think I should throw down some wood mulch? I don’t think it would hurt. If y’all think it will help, I’ll throw some down after I prune them again.

Since most vegging plants look fairly similar, I’m just throwing up a random plant pic or two right now. I’ll take more pics as they start to bud, cuz we all want the bud porn, the veggers just aren’t that exciting. lol

Edit- Correction… looking at the pic I just posted, PWC has 2 transplant leaves at the bottom.

Yeah that one looks so good in the pics. Sounds tasty as hell, too.

It would really help if it rains or you water, it might help prevent any mudholes. You could maybe take the plants that are just about to go inside, and spray them with the hose underneath the leaves and all. Lost of time, especially in early stages, you can spray bugs off the plant with water. Might help as one extra step to help prevent any getting in. I’m sure the lady bugs will have enough to stay alive but if not they’ll just die off and that means you are good hopefully.

Freaking death hot here today. Might get a tad of rain this weekend. Gonna stay hot though, I think. peace

I drenched all of the plants with Spinosad last night. Didn’t see a single live bug on those suckers when I was in them with the loupe today and they are all in the bug tent now. So we are good on the bug front. Maybe I’ll hit up home depot in the next few days and see if they still have lady bugs, actually the Lowes on the way home from my clients consistently had them since spring. Maybe best to stop there. Im so afraid of hitting any more garden centers this year as I cant seem to leave them without a jillion more new plants. I need more flowers like I need a hole in my head.

Oh yeah, I read that… I just came inside for the night and always get real baked so I may or may not have a short term memory at times… /??what is it I just read? :smile_cat:

Hey, I found that HD sells shade cloth online pretty cheap. I’m gonna buy a piece for the new space outside that I want to commit to the weed garden. It’s gonna be my sad attempt at following in @Meesh’s footsteps.

Nah, I been thinking of it for two years, but I got it cleaned out, now found a cheap shade cloth to protect from hail, and it will really save me time and work by having all the plants in one place.

They sell ProMix at big box stores now, I think. Ha, I’m the last to know since I live a long way from the closest one. But, I do have a dedicated grow shop here, and that works, perfectly.

wooo, I’m stoned! peace
