Gumbino's 3x3 đŸ”„đŸ’š

Hey gummy have you considered royal gold basement mix? I’m using their tupur for the second time & I like it basement mix is similar but blended with soil

Looks like just a couple big preflowers, it’s still making leaves out the top, it’s still in veg.

I just ordered some more Gnatrol off ebay for the fungus gnats - organic Bti - currently running $35/pound shipped. A few waterings with it wipes them out. “Mosquito Dunks” are the same thing but seem to work slower. Other organic fixes - beneficial nematodes or baking the soil in the oven (smells awful). The problem with nematodes is that you need to treat all the soil at once.

I would like to try that stuff out, only issue is they don’t have it around me and shipping is nuts online for some reason
I need to call some garden centers eventually

@oleskool830 ive heard great things about their soil as far as store bought goes
I’m assuming its just an amended mix, I know there’s a few different labels of FF soils so is happy frog better for MJ?

And that would be good news @Muleskinner, it bugged me out a bit but she looks to be growing so life is good

I like the Happy Frog. Formulated for MJ and not too hot. I don’t need to feed for first 3 weeks. I add 20% chunky perlite. Good Growin’ bro!

What do your garden centers have?

We might be able to find suitable substitutes.

It’s up to you.

On Tuesday ill plan to make a trip to a couple centers and post it up.

As for a base soil, locally at a farm I can get a yard for $30 that is screened top soil with grass/manure compost mixed. Is that an ok base and price for it?

If you haven’t ppanted yet easiest way is heat. Or peroxide will kill larvae then putting in microwave for 45 sec will kill eggs. Also putting out red wine vinegar will attract adult n they won’t lay eggs in your soil.

Well, not exactly. What they are selling you is good out door material. If it is good composted top soil, it would need everything else including but not limited to, peat moss, lots of perlite, kelp meal, blood meal, dolomite lime, and mychorizzae. I would not suggest this route.

If you go to your centers, take lots of pictures of the different organic soil blends. To get you through Happy Frog or Roots 707 are completely fine.

Soil blends, such as the pro mix, allow you to take control of the final growing medium, while starting from a very safe place. Also, if they lack these specific supplements and nutrients, take pics of what they do have.

Will do @99PerCent , appreciate the input - I don’t want to spend only to have to spend more to do it right, so thank you sir!

@Skiball so just by putting a glass of red wine vinegar in the grow area it will attract them but they wont lay eggs in the soil?

Didn’t know this, saw a few buggers flying around recently so sticky traps and red wine vinegar for now!

Ya you can just put some out in half filled shot glasses or make a trap. Take a 20oz bottle cut off the top. Then take a paper plate fold it to make a funnel. Fill the bottom of bottle with red wine vinegar bugs can get in but not out.

i’ve heard several people say a half inch to an inch of playground sand will clear it up within a few days, haven’t tried myself but may need to

Sand in the pots? I already mulch with cedar. Interesting. Thanks.

yes sand will prevent them from being able to reach the soil to lay eggs, and larva that hatch will die trying to reach the air i think.

Hello everyone

So for tonight I have some pics of the flowering plants that are finishing up. I may even take one tonight, its hard to say because she keeps packing on new growth and foxtailing but I have all cloudy/white and some amber on the more mature calyxes

These plants were flipped on 11/21 but were all subject to lights staying on for more then 24 hours 4 different times in Flow

Sour D
My floppy mess
Colas roughly size of beer bottles

Skywalker OG
Thinking this was a mislabeled clone and is really another Sour D.
She is starting to dread as well, trichomes are all cloudy, flushing and waiting for more amber

Blueberry Snow
The girl in soil has been a slow contender, but the buds are getting big! Her 16 0z perlite hempy counterparts are almost finished while she still has weeks to go

SOIL

16 OZ PERLITE HEMPY
1 OF 2
This plant was FIM and is about a week behind Hempy #2

2 of 2
This one shows most mature signs as she was left untouched and growth was not stalled

RQS Northern Light Auto
18 days in Flower

Did a light defoliation of under canopy leaves to allow for better circulation

Veg Plants are still rocking right along, will get an update with pictures when I have access to them tomorrow
