Happy Little Trees with Meesh 2023

Hey man, @drgreensleeves is running some of those too. He’s trying to nail down the rks more. They are in flower if you want to check that out.
When I did the coop there were a lot of variations of smells. The seamed to change as time went on. I also did not get the rks but definitely some skunky and other strong smells.
If you ever want to search them further then the pack you have I still have extras. If everyone picks through them maybe what we’re looking for will pop up

It’s watering day! And yeah, that damn gg4ril Def has balls. Nothing else has shown today, but we are like a day or two from solstice still. The Clones that were transplanted 2 weeks ago into 2 gallons already are big enough for their final destinations. I need to inventory my grow bags and see what I’ve got. They were out of 20 gallons at my grow store. I have one 20 gallon plastic pot though. I may have another soft 20 in the garage that I haven’t used from a prior year and I know I Def have a few 15’s and 10’s. I just need a plan. The bubba kush x ssdd clone is only going in 10 as the chances of me getting any bud from it is slim. It’s straight indica, so I’m not gonna waste a lot of resources there. If I can find someone who wants to flower it indoors, I will gift it away. The Rainbow Belts and the T-1000 look pretty typically hybrid.

I had prep work for a crown last Friday and the damn temp came off the very next day. So I was back there again today. Ugh! That’s 4 dentist visits in like 10 days time. I told the dentist that I really needed a break and that we needed to see other people for awhile. lol

Ended up staying 2 extra hours at my clients today and have to go back an extra time this month, plus another dentist visit, so my sweet man went to my fave nursery and got some lady bugs for me. Aphids and mites be gone! Most of the ladybugs are gonna die though cuz there isn’t enough food in there for all of them. Oh well.

Yesterday was an entire day of medical tests. After a year and a half of absolute hell getting treatment I finally got this great Nigerian doctor who is on top of things and actually seems like he gives a shit. He also, seems to know what the hell he’s talking about, which is preferable. Last moron told me my hot flashes were caused by spicy food. Ummm… I’m going through menopause stupid doctor and it’s medically proven that it’s caused by hormones not communicating with a certain brain receptor that regulates body temperature. So scary they allow her to practice medicine. Anyway, now all the stuff I need has accumulated and the amount of appts and tests I need is overwhelming and overlapping like crazy. Bear with my crazy while I go through it this year, y’all. Oh God and the menopause crazy on top. I’m a regular party over here. Laughing one minute, in tears the next.

Anyway, I promised clone pics today. I’ll go snap a few and post them in a minute.

This is the Bubba kushxssdd it’s root bound and was super thirsty so it’s pissed right now. I’m gonna give it a final home probably tomorrow if I can

Mother’s milk clone in the ground ! She needs pruning along with the other clones

I wanted to talk about the Iced cube. There’s 4 out there and all of them look absolutely perfect. Last time I grew one, the only female was a weird one. She was crazy branchy and had long skinny buds. A complete pain in the ass to trim. The structure on these 4 is much nicer and I’m super excited. Same with the orange goji. All 3 are very very similar, but these are F1s so that’s to be expected. So far none of the usual trademark screaming loud stink in veg, but they haven’t shown sex yet either. Once pistils show, the stank will begin. Oh I missed my Orange Goji SO much. One year without it has been tragic. Some day, I’m going to run out of even f2s and I will be so bummed to see it go. It’s truly one of my faves. I have love for Orange goji like Dad has for the cheese. I’m still shocked he’s letting me skip a year of growing it. I don’t know much about the black mamba except they flower forever lol, but the 3 I have going look pretty uniform and like nice plants. Super curious what they are gonna smell like along with the Rainbow Belts. Now, the MAC fem plant looks petite. It may end up very indica dominant and mold up. It’s a crap shoot. My buddy sent me some premature bud of some sort of Mac and the taste was amazing. It never got me high, but it tasted good enough for me to want to try my very own plant. I’ve got a lot of firsts going this year. The 2 females in the ground peanut butter breath and cherry pie I’ve never tried either. This year is gonna be fun, even if I lose a few. If I get a female from each seedling this year along with the Clones and fems, I could lose half my crop and probably still have plenty for the year. It’s weird always having a surplus. I love cannabis, but not in the same way I did when it was illegal and scarce. I’m certain some of you know what I mean

@Coda I was thinking about you man. I used to use Dr. Earths until I discovered Down to Earth. Honestly, I think you’ll love it more . I feel like I had to supplement a lot more with Dr. Earths. Just a thought, but your plant looked pretty epic so if your formula is working for ya… rock on. Personally, I’m a lazy mofo and don’t want to have to trouble shoot if I can avoid it while I grow. I just want to water shit and move on. lol

@Kushking902 I appreciate the offer on more seeds, but save them for someone that can really pheno hunt. I don’t have that luxury growing outdoors. I just have a major love of skunk and can hope for a female unicorn, if road kill doesn’t appear, I still win cuz I’ll still end up with a pound of something skunky. Whatever female I do get though, I will log it here if you ever want to see how it’s going in the ground. Hoping for a 7 or 8 footer! Cheers!

It’s funny you mention that because I do have to amend quite often. I always thought it was because the girls were so hungry that it never occurred to me it could be the Dr. Earth. I’ve seen the Down to Earth on Amazon. I’ll give it a go.

Oh, and if it’s any consolation at all, Mrs. Coda has been going through menopause for over a year now. I’m getting used to the house temp being set to 67 degrees year round and her head spinning around 360 degrees as she chastises me for turning it up to 68

I’m at a strict 66, but yeah, put on a hoodie instead or off with your head! lol What size pots are you using? I did flower my GG4ril last year in 20 and topped with seabird guano once, about a month into flower, but I think it would have made it the whole way without the topdress quite honestly. I’m really gonna find out this year if it’s the nutes or if the GG4ril was just the easiest plant in the world to grow.

Our standard bag size is 10 gallon, but we did do a GDP last year in the 4x4 in a 15 gallon. Seventeen zips off of this girl. The wife’s favorite night time medicine. She still has 2 or 3 jars left of her. We have a state limit of four and if I’m honest, that’s all we need. Here she is a few weeks before the chop:

Right here is where I get envious of indoor grows… Grand Daddy Purp. Love me some GDP! Had to pull it early outdoors for mold and still lost half. I remember GDP being a heavy feeder and a really finicky bitch too. So if she was sucking nutes down like a milkshake, it is no surprise there. lol I have the greatest love for all the old skool strains.

I grew outdoors for many years in the North East. I really miss it. There is no way we could grow here. The humidity is unbelievable from early spring to late fall. I don’t know how other people do it. Indoor growing was a challenge and a learning experience with LEDs in and of itself, but I think we have things dialed in pretty well now. The biggest advantage is year round growing. A limit of 4 plants is no issue when you can grow all year.

The worst (and best) part of all of this is the wife has become an unbelievable cannabis snob. Two years ago she was sitting at the kitchen table scraping a bowl for resin because it was dry here, and now she has a grinder for each of her favorite strains because she doesn’t want “cross contamination” of the terps.

First… Hahahahahahahaha! Dead! I remember the days when a single nug fell on the floor and I’d be on hands and knees. Now, I would die before I would scrape my pipe for resin. I’ll dump a whole tray of bud because my man mixed strains together or I don’t remember what strain was on it. I do not like surprise highs aside from a new test. I pick a strain depending on my mood and the particular high I want that day. My man, however is a true stoner. Loves it all and truly doesn’t care what it is as long as he’s high. lol

I’ve decided that if they actually assigned a zone to cannabis plants, the perfect zone would be Zone 9. I’m Zone 10b and the humidity is just a tad too much and I don’t get enough cold to bring out the pretty colors. Zone 9 would be perfection! I’m such a dorky gardener. 4 plants of that size indoors on perpetual would keep Dad, me and the fiance large in bud. I’m sure you get a nice surplus.

LMAO!!!

I dropped a bud one night while trimming and she said “Let the chamber maid pick it up.” (Seinfeld reference)

Call me old fashioned, but I really miss the old school strains. I’m still a huge AK fan (sativa pheno). The goal post legalization was to get the jars full for the wife and then start working on the lines I want. We recently acquired some stock from LouDog420 (what a great guy and a worthy cause) and he has been working with Joey Weeds lines of AK. I’m really excited to run those.

The surplus goes to a friend who makes edibles for a family member with cancer. Unfortunately, it is terminal, but it feels good contributing some relief for him.

She probably has OCD. Calling it a “disorder” is a bit much, though. Meticulous attention to detail is REQUIRED when growing anything.

Is Blue Dream more sativa or indica?

Sativa.

I didn’t say she had a disorder. I said she was a snob.

She is a cannabis snob

So I let the vicious ladybugs loose in the net last night. I hope they have bitten off the heads of all their enemies! Muaaahaha!

I’m supposed to be meeting with my friend who is the event planner for my wedding this morning, but alas her car won’t start. So I will wait for a further update and then proceed to feed the plants a shot of calmag and transplant the pissed off root bound clone before I hit my 2nd wedding dress fitting this afternoon.

How many people get to say “I’ll be there for my wedding dress fitting right after I transplant the clones and hit them with a shot of Calmag.”

Alright, all of the plants got a nice cal mag dose. Pruned and supercropped the mother’s milk. Topped all the plants as they are at 6th node. Pruned and cleaned up the Clones a bit. The unsexed clone Bubba kushxssdd is a girl. She has the weirdest structure. Very leafy on inside because the branches all look like tiny t-rex arms lol.

I have good news and bad news. Bad news is there will be no gg4ril. 2 are males and 3rd is a mutant. BUMMED! Good news is 2 of the RKS are girls, including my favorite one with the really funky smell. The other known female is the crinkle leaf one. The 3rd hasn’t said yet. One Orange Goji is also a girl so far. YAY! Iced Cube and Black Mambas are being extra and slow to show. I remember Iced Cube being one of the last when I grew it before. Ladybugs :beetle: are happily munching a few bugs here and there. I have killed a few caterpillars in there as well which irks me. Probably got hit with eggs while I was transplanting outside the net or from the Clones when they were hardening off. Hopefully I have killed them all.

So, I’m trying to figure this out. I feel like I have a lot of plants here. GG4RIL is gone so I have a new ground spot. One 20 gal pot, Two 15gal fabric pots and a few 10 gallon pots.

@SamwellBB on the Iced Cube remember I had that really short pheno that only got like 4 feet, ma petite? None of these 4 are structured like her. My guess is they will be taller. Do you have any idea how big this dominant pheno will get?

So, I’m trying to put the largest or tallest plants into my ground spots so they will get the maximum trellis support. Obviously the most indica will be shortest and also get harvested first (mold possibilities too). So these should probably be in containers. My last orange goji got about 6 feet, the RKS will be big judging from cheese and other skunk plants I’ve grown. Black Mamba is gonna be huge and long flowering. I can only guess by looking that the MAC is gonna be more petite maybe 4 or 5 feet so, container right? Blue Dream from seed leans indica and is usually 5 to 6 feet. Bubba kushxssdd will from here on out be referred to as T-rex and she is the most indica of the bunch, followed by Blueberry.
