Hash Making Revisited

!! what size bag/s do you use for your kief that you press once in a baggie then remove it and press the pressed hash with your hot water bottle – do you prefer dry shake or bubble ? Thanks for all you information - I have learned

Before I rip it, I’ll do this process known as “flagging” where I take a bunch of freeze dried hash and press it into a ribbon with my thumb.

This is what it looks like, for the GMO hash I made. Each one looks slightly different. I don’t use a bottle filled with hot water, because this is some full melt live extract. I don’t make kief.

Today’s Good Morning Burger™. I bet it’s more than the equivalent of smoking 4 fatties in one blast. I’ll take two of these and call you in the morning. Imagine if I smoked like 16 torpedoes per day? Like some flower rolled up into a huge spliff and then times 16? I’d be fuuuuuucking dead. From some lung condition no doubt.

See… This rosin, mixed with that hash. OMG! The flavor combo is amazing! Separately they are ho hum. But joined forces… ahhh magnifique!

I really support @JoeCrowe s work.
The Idea of getting a quality product without plant matter Is good for our lungs.
On the other hand you Need a good plant and some experience for the washing practice and It comes at the cost of trashing a lot of buds.
Health Is more valuable than Money in my opinion,even tho you could be okey with dry vaping buds and obtain a good High with a very small quantity of buds too.

Edit-trashing Is not the right Word,I should Say investing*

I also really like Joe’s Quest to reach perfection in the search for the highest purity and quantity

Yah if you have ever been on IG or even here on this thread and been like “Goddamn! I NEED some of that in my life!” No shitting, you can be like the most pro rosin or hash maker you’ve ever seen online.
Ooops, I think I got a drop of terpenes on my THC crystals. :rofl:

One thing we have to really understand Is also that he Is sharing his exact process to the point.
It really Is not from everyone,people usually don’t share all their secrets no Profit.
Gotta love this guy’s work

I Ve tried your method and my plant Is not good,but I got quality grey/clear hash,never had It so clean before

I understand, but for someone with a small grow and big needs, rosin or dabing is still a mirage.
Like I said, never had a dab but I won’t die stupid for sure.
Last hash I made I made the mistake of placing it over the seedling mat to dry faster, so I ended up soaking the 25um cloth with resin, It got like wet and remained like that but I was very pissed off to press it with the 25 cloth smashed I will need to get more of those.
I really enjoy all OG’s people hash making and rosin makin processes, it is beautiful.

I can pull like 30 grams of hash per plant resulting in 120 grams of 90 micron hash from 4 plants. They just have to put out a kilo each of green buds.

Okay I just did a more aggressive run and got a shit tonne more 90u & 25u from the next 2 bags of fresh-frozen SSDD.

I think the biggest issue for my 1st run wasn’t just my expectations but also the amount of ice and how aggressive I let it all churn.

This round was A LOT more ice, and A LOT more aggression and the results in the bag today wouldn’t have made me sad like yesterdays. :grin:

I’ve got 2 more bags to go in the freezer, but I need more ice so the bags are being left wet overnight until outside freezes me some more water. :+1:

All the currently run material is in a bucket in a very cold space as I’ll take all 3 runs of material and run it in the washer into a near mash just to see whatever is still in there to pull but it’s gonna be kept separate from the 1st runs of everything.

:grin:

I’ll do a case study based on those last 2 plants I chopped. GMO and GOjiOG. So I pulled 20 grams from the GMO from 2 kilos of weed and 30 grams… so far from the GojiOG with a kilo of weed. Net 50 grams. I pressed 1/3 of the GojiOG and 1/2 of the GMO. now I have 10 grams of GMO and 20 grams of GojiOG as well as all the gmo rosin I dabbed and the Goji Rosin already dabbed and I just cracked into the jar. Probably ripped 5 grams of rosin so far and working on the next 5. Got about 50% return on the hash pressing.

Watch out for plant material.

Will do. :+1:

I won’t be surprised when the GojiOG has finished it’s run that I have 40 grams of hash per plant. Where’s the photo of it?

yah that really yellow scraggly one on the right with dead leaves all over. That thing is a 3% GojiOG sporting 40 grams of hash on a single plant.

I suppose that’s another problem I tackle here. I call it the “I ran out of concentrates” problem. Ever wake up in a cold sweat? Ice in your veins because you just thought you had run out of concentrates. Fear not! The thunder dome is here to help! By growing your plants and only selecting the ones that produce more hash, you are crushing that nightmare fuel. The average home grower can have two things: lots of concentrates. Oh wait, that’s one thing, but it’s as good as two things, I promise.

ok What if I did the thing, except with 2 GojiOG plants right? So then I have 80 grams of hash. I can press 40 grams into 20 grams of rosin. and Have another 40 grams of hash left. mmm, Bam! Nightmare crushed.

If anyone is breeding plants, here’s the plan. You get two S-class hash producing plants, and you hybridize them. Give it a try, I think it’s my best idea yet.

If you had only 1 or 2 bags what micron would they be ? ( 90 - 60 or 160 - 60 ??? just throwing them out there ) probably smaller for better hash ?? Thanks for you knowledge

Lol. I was just thinking about this too while running some more freshfrozen and i think im now mentally stuck on running as follows:

220u = 1st screen greens catcher = garbage
120u = 2nd screen to keep stuff outa the 90u = hash
90u = primary focus and the $ = temple or fresh-frozen
73u = 4th screen = temple ball
25u = final catch = hash sand, mayhap pressing

Here’s the piles gathered over 2 days running 3 frozen SSDD plants:

Left side top to bottom: 120u, 90u, 73u
Right side: 25u

Its all in the freezer until i get the guts to grate it :sweat_smile:

My soul dies a little every time I see a spoon used in the fresh frozen process. I need to make a batch to record the easiest way of getting hash out of the bags and broken up for freeze drying. Swing, plop onto parchment, chop, freeze dry.
