Hash Making Revisited

This is the gnarly mixture! Grapey walter hash with rosin! All smashed together in a ball of goo! I used my fingers on the parchment to flatten the hash then I plopped a couple of rosin bits on there and then smushed them together.

Gave the 'ol unicorn a good cleaning! The combination of terpene profiles was quite pleasant. Way better than just the lame freeze dried grapey hash. That contributed a pine flavor to the whole mix. So it was like a super medicinal pine flavor. Nice! I call it a Good Morning Burger™.

This one looks like 10-15 grams per kilo. Definitely not on the same level as big bud or grapey walter.

Those have to be the terpenes. Logically… because what else could it be?

Damn what a thread. Ordered some bubble bags and turkey bags the other day. Should be making my first batch next week sometime. Don’t have a press, was thinking about using the wine bottle to decarb and rolling it into balls.

The freeze dried bubble hash should roll into balls without heat.

Found this on a video figure it was worth the save.

wow that’s pretty warm the plates are set to 82C. I wonder what kind of hash they were pressing with those settings?

Ah, after watching that I assume they are using dried buds to make the bubble hash then freeze drying it and pressing it. It’s not clear.

There’s some CBG hash with rosin pressed into it. I flatten out a bunch of grapey hash then I put a few nuggets of rosin on top. Fold the parchment over and smash it in there with my fingers. Then I use the dab tool to fold the hash into a taco and squish it again with my fingers. Cut the resultant mixture into dabs and rip it!

So the Grapey Walter is the CBG hash?

Yep the CBG is from grapey walter, it was part of a free seed pack to test the properties of CBG hash.

Riiight there. A few plant fibers, but not bad. Just a regular 'ol pile of trichomes.

No idea where to ask this but anyway my mind is just subject hopping tonight. I want to get the most out of my hash. I love ice hash the most but i want to get every single bit out of my plants that i can and i know i dont get everything out of it with that method. Im thinking ethanol after for a rso then mix that into the bubble for when i press it into a brick.

Has anyone done this? If so how did it go? Was there much of a flavour n strength difference?

I don’t think your return will be worth the cans of butane ice hash doesn’t leave much behind I think.

The garbage left behind will only contaminate any goodness you produce. I toss mine into the compost. Back in the “day” I would make qwiso out of the bubble waste. If I had to do it over, I wouldn’t do it again. Those last scraps of garbage are just that. Trash.

It’s funny how our perspectives and habits change when we transition from scarcity into an abundance of weed…
…Like saving roaches for a ‘rainy day’…

Wish I was into that abundance lol. Still in a prohibition state. Just got done smoking all our roaches and bought some delta-8 flower. Downside to growing 10 months out of the year is you lose your connects for those last 2 months.

lol! That was the funny part though. I would grow a mad crop of weed then make it into hash, I’d sell all the buds and the hash then I’d go and smoke second-rate oil. hah hah at the peak of insanity, I was farming out the oil processing to someone else.

Interesting that it’s just 15 minutes spin, sit forn30 minutes and rinse.

Do you do more than 1 run with the materials?

Yah, I do two cycles in that video, that’s what I do to get all the trichomes off without too much contamination. I’m going to experiment later with a different cycle, and see what happens.
