I see a lot of living soil growers shitting on hydroponic methodology…mentions of salty weed (psha), larfy buds, and generally lower quality…

I love hydro : )
They just trying to justify all that extra hassle lol
Why?
Because in a Free World (not a One Worlder) - they are entitled to their opinions no matter how wrong they are!

Hydro for me is so much less work.
I work a lot of hours and it frees me up
I grow in soil and hydro. Flush both and no problems. I’ve only done short flushes like 2 days.
Let them think what they wanna.
Oh and I grow several strains in the same system so I never have flushed and it’s never harsh. Never any dark smoke
Lol I don’t even know how banned substances has to do with hydro but ok.
Maybe the nutrients brand.
I’ve only used 2 different ones
I feel it’s the same as how meat-eaters will talk smack about vegans…
Hydro is amazing for yields, potency, bag appeal. If you have it dialled in, the day-to-day work is quite minimal as well.
But I don’t blame them completely. Organics is just really clean. You might lose some yield compared to hydro. But flavour and extracts are much nicer from organics.
Plus… would you rather eat a “regular” apple or an “organic” apple?
Could be numerous things… from too much salts, a nutrient deficiency, a poor dry.
But hydro done right, you can surely get beautiful white ash as well.
regular. i dont want to pay $9.99 for an apple
be-friend an old granny with an apple tree?
you’ll find elitism in any hobby, people like to feel proud & talk smack.
It’s because I’m the best and you’re the worst.
Most people are ignorant of things they lack experience with. Just human nature to be narrow minded toward whatever you believe is true, and develop tribalism around it.
Hmm. I personally grow hydro (salts in coco+perlite)… and it fits my needs for the time being.
Given the opportunity I’d definitely like to experiment with super soil as well as eventually doing outdoor grows.
I can see the argument, but at the same time I say to each their own. If how you are growing fits your needs and goals then it’s the right way.
My thought exactly. I’d grow organic outside once I have a more private space. But in that application it’s also easier and makes more sense to me than in my basement.
I always feel funny when I tell organic guys what I spend on nutes a year. My wallet loves salts. Spend 100 bucks and be good running full throttle for a year. Salts and gypsum for me.
