Nice! I’d heard that elsewhere about Zamaldelica express and have never had it, definitely added to my list. Also, I’ve never had a Bubba other than from a bad dispensary, so it wasn’t anything special.
I want to also revisit some classic autos because I’ve had such a great experience with white widow from ilgm. Any old school classics you guys have grown that blew you away?
And since others are showing off some plants… Here’s my Barney’s Watermelon Szittlez! I think I’m looking at a pretty monster yield. If plucking leaves is any indication of how she’ll taste and smell, I’m going to love it!
Mephisto 3bears og or mbap= man, bear, alien, pig.
I also really like forum stomper, strawberry nugget(before purple punch you was added are some of the great ones.
The thing with autos they tend to change as time changes. Breeder will often add what hit to them to go with the changes, putting a new twist on an old favorite…. Often the older version was much better
Even dp’s bbk was not the same as the original. I ordered those on 2 separate occasions early on. The licorice/lavender was a turn off… but the high was unmatched. I orders another pack in 2020 that was nowheres near the same. It was doughy and chocolate and grapes… and had less potency. The older ones would glue my eyes shut as i was unable to get off the couch.
The newer version barely gives the grins. And has absolutely no body feel to it. Just my opinion of course.
@Reefer I just thought of this, but if you want to grow some autos that will be both a challenge as well as super unique, maybe check out the Auto Malawi x NL or Auto Zamaldelica from Ace Seeds. You have to get them through a reseller if you’re in the US, but I’ve seen a couple of grows of both of those autos and they come out the size of large photoperiods if done in big containers. I’ve also seen a run of the auto-malawi that was done in very small containers indoors, and the plants seemed to be way more “domesticated” because of the auto-genes + small pots.
It’s a sweet tooth bred with a cream caramel it took me almost 2 years to get this right lol and wasted a lot of plants,I throw females in the bin after spraying them with CS spray and collecting pollen or seeds,
It goes pretty big![(upload://1tQj9TmMDclj58tJ2rrYjXkDW8D.jpeg)
So how does one go about with selecting, crossing and testing auto breeding projects?
Since you can’t clone auto’s you have to select a female based on vegetative features and pollinate it with some pollen from a decent male.
If you’re selecting from multiple females you have to pollinate them all and see what the end result is of seeded flower? Then toss the mediocre ones? But doesn’t that mean that you can’t really select based on it’s full potential as a sensimilla?
I mean if you’re breeding with photoperiods you select from a population of which you keep clones until you know a specimens full potential. Than you select the clone you use for further breeding in a seed run.
