Starting to get crazy on the fill-ups. Chugging the pots dry inside of 10 hrs. I should get the float valve and whatnot today so I can hopefully make these auto-water before I leave on Friday
Yeah just growing like that. She was standing up originally but when I stuck her in the 3x3 and 2x2 for veg under the higher ppfd led’s, she laid over and all the side branches started growing up. I’m fine with it. More yield with less work
that triforce 6 is what kids are calling a bigback now days… what a fat frosty hairy girl. love the pistil color the brown and silver trichs with the dark green looks super dank.
Mostly the smells but it’s got a bit of the flower look too. Smells damn near exactly the same as what I remember from that #2 pheno. I’m pretty sure the scents are from the NL1HP side of the Kryptonite as the #2 plant was the night-time pheno. So I’m betting that’s how the #6 is gonna turn out too. Might not even need those Dank Zappas #6 is definitely yielding better than #2 did despite the worse/smaller setup for #6. Looks like slightly better calyx/leaf ratio too
In other news, I think I got everything I need to turn these µ-octo’s into an auto-water setup. I think I fucked up @jetdro@schmarmpit on the first 4 and drilled the fill hole in the side of the pots about halfway up instead of towards the very bottom? It still seems to work in my quick test but I think I gotta fix that for the other 8 pots. If I have enough on/off valves I may just re-drill out those first 4
Yeah I have to put the fill ports as low as possible to work in my setup. Otherwise if the fill hole is in the middle then I’d need the controller and tubing to be up at the higher level as well to maintain level.
I will say I had a hard time getting the fill level to be at even half way on these µ-octos. Mostly just setting the controller’s float level that low was the tricky part. My fill port on these pots is so low that it’s kind of hitting the curved lower part of the pot. Basically as low as you can get it and make a good seal.
don’t keep the little pots too wet I lost two plants in the last week, drowning both of them halfway through flower they just wilted and died when I checked the pots, they were soaking wet
this run #6 looks more hairy and darker hair kinda makes it look like white rhino i used to get. when its dry thats gonna look real nice. those dark hairy strains always seem narcotic though not sure if thats what you want lol
Heh yeah it’s generally not what I want, but I DO need some nighttime herb so maybe it’ll do
TF2 and 4 were what I was using for that before so maybe this #6 will fill the niche. Definitely the hairier ones at the end here DO seem to be more hashplant-esque effects
Well I got the first auto-water setup going. Took fucking forever. Woke up to a gallon or so of water in the bottom of the tent from overfilling. I had raised the controller a bit to get things going and think that’s what happened. Didn’t see any leaks on any fitting.
Now to see if I can split the reservoir line to the other room, setup a second controller, and get the mamilk/dz/tk/ssdd going on that one before I leave for 4 days/3 nights tomorrow. It’s that or water the fuck out of everything and then turn the lights off while i’m gone Still likely going to do that for the small veg plants and clones
I did get a second controller drilled and setup, drilled 4 more pots. Just waiting for the lights to come on to set it up for the mm/dz/tk/ssdd.
May just use a spare micro-octo and the smaller netcups to run 4 or so of the rooted clones off a single pot and maybe set the lights to an hour on every 12hrs or so or something
Chopped the #6 earlier today(day 67) so I could fully setup the auto water in there(4x4 tent) with the new plants. Took the flood table out and all that.
Also, all the dank zappa f2 were males and the one I liked most was a herm. As it goes some packs
C5SS F4 #2 and the TF #5 on the left side all shot up in the 4 days I was gone. The SSDD F2 #1 in the front right did too but don’t think she’s getting much taller than that this run. TriForce #6 in the back right is going bonkers. Setting in big fat flowers already. I tried an early 4-day sample off the drying plant and she hits immediately. Feel it before you even blow out the smoke. High seems to be surprisingly TK-like despite the mostly Kryptonite smells. Interested to see how she does now… And especially the TF#5 as what I got off her was actually grown poorly and barely a spot of a green on any of her flowers. Came out pretty midsy but I think she was dying for the last month or so. Now she’s happy af so yeah. We’ll see soon enough ^^
For the 4x4, I moved the other TK and SSDD back to the veg tent. Kept the one TK and MaMilk F3 #3 in flower and they’re doing fantastic!
