Holy's Garden (Part 2)

I still wanna try the pre98 sometime. I still think it’s the one bodhi used. It was the Berger cut I didn’t really care for… rather have Irene than that one.

No doubt on at least trying to reverse the ssdd. Won’t know for sure unless I do… I’ll probably still pop the last of my ssdd f2s from Sebring to try and find that male. That’s all I’m going to be doing with that TK BX1 pack too so shouldn’t take up too much room.

Haha, uh, what? Seriously? Polenta’s awesome. For my “guilty pleasure” breakfast, I’ll sauté some onions and either jalapeños or poblanos, mix that in the polenta along with some sharp cheddar and crispy bacon, put all of that on top of some raw spinach and top it with two over-easy eggs. It’s delicious. You can eat it for dinner, too, same recipe, but instead of eggs I use shrimp.

Polenta’s basically grits, but don’t ever say that to a hardcore Italian or a chef. They get very upset if you do haha.

Are you thinking that that’s gonna be the “bedtime” stuff?

The one from Woods’ thread? That one looked promising for sure. Why not check that one out AND plant some more North Stars? Haha…

You don’t need to do anything at home any more. If you ever need a chemical, just order it from China. They will ship anything to you  Been doing it for yeeeeeears!

I’ve ordered chloroform multiple times, not to make someone sleepy sleep, but for the exact reason @HolyAngel talked about. I’ve also ordered hexane and other solvents for extraction. Hexane is the perfect polarity to extract high quality solvent extractions. Much better then butane or isopropanol.

Triangle yes please.

I still have triple sunshine from @syzygy to run at some point. Gonna be grabbing TK too.

Yeah, I think I’ve read they even use it to extract seed oils. Cool stuff!

I think a remix version of Triple Sunshine would be cool using a reversed SSDD. No clue about the F2 males but maybe those would be cool too.

Seed oil you say? I’ve got some thoughts on seed oils…

Just kidding. Many blessings and much love

A remix would be cool!

I just really liked your grow and pictures of triple sunshine :sun_with_face:

I know I said that like about 100 times but i know what i likes and its swollen bright green bracts

Now i need that on a t shirt like an ironic one. White font on black shirt, all caps, impact front

SWOLLEN
BRIGHT
GREEN
BRACTS

Like one of those misogynstic dudebro shirts but its objectifying weed instead

“Female bud inspector”

Put a weed leaf where the y normally would be

Shit i shouldve kept that idea to myself. That one would probably actually sell.

On the back “keep your pollen away from me”

Yes, hexane like fats and despise everything else, so you end up with a very pure product and you notice after the winterization that you have higher yields then with butane and isopropanol.

Yeah hexane is cool and all but good luck removing all of it from whatever you’re trying to purify. In europe, the maximum allowed amount of Hexane in foods like seed oils is 1mg/kg. The FDA though, doesn’t set a limit, nor monitor it. No facility in America has to show hexane quantity in their products. FDA also says it’s totally fine to ingest with no issues but also that inhaling it can cause ‘effects on the central nervous system, such as dizziness, nausea, and headache. Long-term exposure can cause nerve damage, numbness, muscular weakness, blurred vision, headache, and fatigue.’

I just can’t do grits. Think it’s a texture thing  I love cream corn tho :person_shrugging: :joy:

Idk really. I’m thinking/hoping it’s just gonna be really good weed… and if it turns out nighttime too, that’s two birds

oh ya! 100%. She looks just like the one I had so really hopeful on that soaring sativa effect being there

If I wasn’t trying to soak 3 other packs maybe :joy: I ran 6 or 7 NorthStar girls last time and each one was a bit different so I definitely wanna do at least another 10 beans this time. Probably on the second run before summer hits ^^

Right now it’s gearing up clones to run the 4x 3gal octopots while I wait for seeds to veg. Figure run one TK, one SSDD, one MaMilk F3 #3 and that LCH #11 in the octo’s for the first run. Probably start soaking seeds here around Oct 10th at first-quarter moon which is likely around the soonest I can flip to flower. Flower should finish up around christmas/new years. I probably won’t be able to stick the vegging plants into the 4 octo’s so may run the table again for pheno hunting

You make it sound impossible, but if you heat it under vaccum. You get a very pure product and there is plenty of lab test kits to buy that can detect very low amount of hexane when you vaporise it.

Problem I see with solvent extractions is that people are lazy and doesn’t do all the proper steps, like evaporation and testing, and then winterization. Those are essential to get a good and pure product.

It’s chem people from the University period of my life who teached me all this stuff and showed me how it’s done. You need good lab equipment, but it’s not that expensive and hard to get hold of.

I think solventless is the best for common people, less things that you can fuck up.

Heat and pressure, baby. I would say you can’t fuck that up but…I’ve seen it be butchered lol

Yeah, hexane is cytotoxic and, can cause all sorts of toxicity issues… it’s bad stuff. I use the much safer heptane – it is available in art stores (or, from Amazon) but, only for the final stage of MHRB crystallization and, not for cannabinoids

You need to perform a heated vaccum purge to remove any remaining solvent-- Hexane isn’t anyone’s friend.

Ye, exactly. It’s not for someone who doesn’t know exactly what they are doing. But if done right, it’s freaking awesome :metal:t2::metal:t2::metal:t2:

Right, I get that haha. There is a difference between grits and polenta, but they’re both cooked pretty much the same way. Polenta’s definitely a little firmer, if you want it to be. And once you add the onions and peppers and bacon, you still get a little crunchiness. It’s good! Haha.

I think so, too. NL5 never smoked “sleepy” to me, which is why I asked haha. Who knows what DEFSeeds selected for, though? Never heard of them.

That sounds, uh… fast haha. Are you gonna go straight into a flower lighting cycle or something?

Right :joy: same on both counts!

Ah! So the clones going into the octopots are what will be getting flipped so soon. The seedlings will likely veg for the whole flower period, or I might stick some into a flood tray in one of the other tents to flower after at least a month of veg time ^^

The more volatile a substance is should theoretically make it easier to purge, so if going with things you probably wouldn’t want to ingest might as well do it to it. Asking hypothetically and more curious than anything, have you considered ether? It’s a controlled substance here so I’m curious if the available elsewhere. Not seeking it out, just curious. Many blessings and much love

Ah, okay, I thought you were gonna flip the seed plants. Clones makes more sense haha.
