Holy's Garden (Part 2)

I use ProMix HP, straight out of the bag, in my Octopots. In the past I have tried adding various amendments such as more perlite, rice hulls, dolomitic lime, and EWC. I find that I prefer to control what the plants consume via the reservoir so the ‘soil’ is just there for structure and giving the roots different zones for moisture and air. I’ve never had fungus gnats [knock on wood].

Yeah if you use them and love it, it’s a great system that yielded me some absolute monsters. I just like my earthbox so far the best and stuck with that and Blumats with living soil. They each have their own positives and negatives.

Team OG now? Congrats brotha! :sunglasses: :vulcan_salute:

Lemon Cheese Haze #11 x Dream Drifter - I wanted to make these in the future but Ill take the pollen drift on her now and look later. This whole clone is seeded Other one is also slightly seeded.

Expect some heading you way when ready, even though you’re still burnt out on BD.

An earthbox, although the earthbox holds more media, is the same thing as an octopot… they are both sub-irrigated planters. Neither works for me, I think my space gets too cold for my roots to sit in ice-cold water and, they just fail consistently.

Heh, I figured it might to a few people. I tried to keep it close. Spun up some AI servers and been playing around ^^

Thanks! But I’ve been for ‘TeamOG’ now for a couple/few years :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I just don’t have any TeamOG abilities, other than being part of the team messages, and being able to toggle the flair icon on my avatar :joy: figured I’d turn it on for a bit :man_shrugging:

:fire: That should be great! Crossed to the LCH would likely get far enough away for me to wanna run them :joy: think im starting to get over getting sick of smoking it  it’s only been 10 years :joy:

I just pop a heater (with the tip over safe technology) on top of the lights as I’m in the north east. I’ll then have 2 fans to circulate the heat around. We get cold winters here, and that’s worked well so far thankfully.

But really I don’t want to reinvent the wheel for anyone. If what you do works , it works. There’s many really good growers here who likely do a better job than I. I am just lazy and don’t have much time, so this system suits me.

Haha . I think the blue dream/cheesiness with the burnt rubber undertone sounds tasty to me. Smoked the LCH with some friends and they loved it. You’re definitely on to something with those brotha.

Trys it for a week and decides to start another ten year hiatus of anything Blue dream related or adjacent. :joy:

Hell yeah! Glad to hear everyone’s enjoying it! That it was worth the grow
I’m getting octopots ready today and the #11 is going into one of them for sure so we’ll see what I think. There was a bunch of good stuff last time but I really just want that soaring pheno. We’ll see. I still got the #4 male too which seems to look a lot like her  Likely make F2’s regardless since I’m so low on the F1’s. Unsure of him hitting anything else at the moment.

I am going to hit the TK, SSDD, and C5SS F4 #2 with the C5SS F4 #3 male though.

And if I find a good TK BX1 male, he’s going to the TK for BX2 and the SSDD for my own ‘Triple Sunshine’ tho I’ll likely call it something else

Hopefully have a bunch of beans come spring if it all works out

All 9 of the TK BX1 have sprouted and been planted.
Only 6 out of 10 on the NL5 F7’s though.
The other 4 beans have tails but not popped out yet. Guess they are F7’s tho and those aren’t usually known for being strong quick plants.

I’ve been on the look out for a nice ssdd cut to dust the TK myself. What szyguy posts always makes me drool but I want to play with reversing since I never have, and make fems since for me they are easier to grow given my small space.

Yeah I’ve thought about making a fem version but I and friends have tried to reverse the TK multiple times and failed. My SSDD cut is the most stable plant I’ve ever seen so I haven’t even bothered trying to reverse it. I can at least get the TK to throw a sterile nanner or two with a lot of stress but I haven’t been able to do that to the SSDD girl in 4 years of growing her.

hehe, for sure! I use two space heaters, with a tent in a tent trying to maintain a good temp but, my space has very little insulation so, it doesnt help much  My old house leaks heat like a Victorian :expressionless:

Oof that’s tough man.

Yeah, I would fem the ssdd after reading (I am pretty sure in this thread) that the TK is hard to reverse. Idk , I’d try it for my own learning experience. I never even grew ssdd so I’d be curious to see what all the hype is about.

I think its soaring but not like blow your top. If it’s underwhelming in the effects department for you. What would be the chances of finding that soaring one in the F2s using the 11? Likely or unlikely?

I think the Malawi Gold x LCH could punch it up in the soaring department but would bring it a whole entirely different direction most likely.

Tri-Sun Dreams

What’s the plan with the NL5 F7s? Smoke or potential project tool.

Yeah I would if I thought it would work better than the TK, but I think it’ll be worse considering her stability. She’s even more stable than the TK is. Maybe one of these days tho when I get a spare clone of her.

Honestly, most of them aren’t. Overall can find similar or better quality, easier, in other Appalachia crosses from bodhi. Unless you have constant nerve related pain, then they’re a godsend and there isn’t anything better that I’ve found yet. The right one’s tho are up there with the best Appalachia crosses when it comes to potency/duration/effects like mothers milk or pura vida, etc. but searching from seed, most aren’t keepers ime. I have my keeper for the last 4 years, only bean that came up out of 20 ssdd f2s. Ive since ran 3 packs of f1’s, and i don’t even know how many f2s, 60ish? Plus two packs of my bx1 and a pack of the starshine f2s, and I haven’t found a plant I liked better than this first one.

yes, it sucks… I would love to live in a modern house with insulation
This is with my house heater on full blast, plus an extra convection space heater

I appreciate your honesty in saying that. Maybe sourcing those cuts may be the better option then. There was some dude on strainly who had a MM cut but I am not sure if he is legit or not nor do I recall who he is at this point. It was some time ago.

Oh well that’s good at least. More or less than the others?

If it has it at all it could definitely show up better in the f2s, especially if the male has it. And he looks like her too…

Yeah that’d be a pretty interesting cross. Especially if the Malawi is soaring and not that narcotic stuff. I miss that Oregon cut of Malawi I had a few years back. Last I heard the guys that found it, tossed it for an SSH cut

I’d say its more but not my much.

Far from narcotic. Its like your eyes are peeled open, colors are more vibrant. Energetic smoke. Take on the world after a couple pokes haha.

I wonder it the time to flower was the deciding factor, since SSH flowers in a shorter time. Isnt there a known 14 weeker SSH cut out there. Maybe floating around in Europe but I vaguely remember either @LonelyOC or someone else mentioning it.

If you would collect some pollen off #4 LCH male, I’d put it on my MG and send you some seeds in return.
