Make a bubble cloner. Very simple.
Check out page 91 of this book! Planning on making it myself.
Hey man, nothing special, an old method I picked up years ago at Sannie’s. Just prep clones like normally (diagonal cut, hormone, stick into some kind of spongepot, root riot, something like that) and put them on a moist perlite bed inside a mini greenhouse. 10 or so days later, there should be roots. Pretty close to 100% method for me.
You can moisted the perlite bed with beneficial bacteria solution and it would be even safer, but I’ve done it with water only plenty of times.
wow man this is clean! thanks for sharing, i love the looks of it. what kind of beneficial bacteria solution?
niiice, west coast master’s clone master, build it and let me know haha, i’m not that handy
I used Sannie’s Bacto when I did it, you can find ingredients on the product page https://www.sanniesshop.com/bio-sannie-bacto.html and compare to products in your locale.
Clone King 36
90% of the time, it works all the time
But seriously, simply cut, dip in hormone of choice, or none, and place into the collar, plug in and leave it alone.
I usually leave the cloner in a corner somewhere with No direct light. I’ve had about 90% success
This is pretty solid. It’s a little more complex then root riot/rockwool or just water in your aerocloner, but it works! I didn’t even really worry about the PH part, I just made sure it was a little under 7 initially.
root porn! yeah that’s the thing tho, i don’t like machines, i’m not at my grow a lot… i don’t like having a bunch of stuff plugged in, but i’ll never see roots like that haha
I get that, electricity and pumps and shit are bound to fail at some point. If you’re trying to go more low tech, I’d experiment with rockwool cubes or root riots. I’ve had faster roots with the root riots and it used to be my go-to method. But now I’m trying to use Hormex with rock wool and getting ok results. You can see how the stem blobbed out at the base and white stuff at the top, but no roots poking through yet after 14-15 days.
i do use root riots with clonex gel in domes, but last time i got some mold, it still worked tho! and it’s kinda finicky having a shitload of clones in those little things
i often do get big bumps like that, but sometimes the roots won’t pop, it’s just a really bumpy stem i’m sure if i just stuck it in the soil it’d live tho
I found some HypoGrow bottle i used to put in my blumat reservoir to clean the slime/algue/film in the lines, it’s chlorine based i think, i’m going to give the slimy stems a shot tomorrow see if it clears it up and if it stays clear, i’d love to solve that mystery
Yeah, might need to just pop your vents open or crack the domes earlier to prevent mold, but I tend to get it too if they’re just sitting. I think they need a little air movement after 7 to 10 days.
That’ll probably work. I used to use Pond cleaner enzymes to keep my Blumat lines clean. I think you can use Pool Shock too and it’ll help with the slime. Good luck!
Yep pool shock or I use UC roots, basically the same. In a cup of water, or in my domes with rockwool I have an insanely high root ratio.
I try not to get the top of the plugs wet after the first day if I can. When I insert the cuttings into my jiffy pellets the first time, I poor a small amount of water on top then I shut the vents for a few days and keep it moist… then I just flood the clone tray, open the vents and make sure the pellets are absorbing water from the bottom only. In my experience, I’ve noticed that I get much less mold when I keep the tops of the pellets from receiving water and it also forces the roots down to look for moisture. Just something that I’ve noticed… you seem to have your shit together but just thought I would share my observations.
haha i dont, so thanks, i have not moisten the plugs at all this time, if i remember correctly last time i had 'em in a bucket of water so they were definetly wetter and got mold, it still rooted but it took real long
day 6 in the water, most of the branches have at least some bumpy action going on, i’m pretty impressed, the red/purple stems seem to have the least bumps, my plants weren’t 100% when i took those red stem cuts i’m thinking
i saw a little bit of slime on a couple ends, i rinsed the bottles and changer the water, with this in the water at 10ml per gallon, i followed the instructions for once
this is what i used to clean blumat slimy lines
Stoked to see how those Guerilla Fume turn out for you. I’m sitting on a pack now and have some F2’s I’m going to run outside this summer.
nice, how did they or did you make those f2s? i’m looking in maybe doing this myself i kept one male of most strains
The F2’s were gifted to me through someone else, I didn’t make them. I had heard such good things about the Fume and SkunkVA’s sales pitch had me sold, Chemdog in seed form. I absolutely love hit you between the eyes, stone you to the bone weed. The Fume had this description on the back of the pack where he said it was some of the stoniest pot people have ever had. I’ll put that to the test haha. I plan to run the F1’s indoors when I cab properly select a keeper mom and do a F2 run.
I have a few Fume’ F2’s also… probably from same source here. I ran the strain from breeder seeds for better than a year, loved it. Only let it go for a scheduled shutdown, but I have a few other packs of LD’s offerings… and will be picking up more in Bozeman in May.
Think his Dog Patch chemdog x chem d will be next…
