Thats pretty clever sir. I wanted something similar just need to actually tear out the door frame to the closet and go hidden hinges and picture frame it into the wall.
SGL gang represent
Absolutely.
As a fellow renter I feel your pain.
I do a similar perpetual grow with just a 12/12 light in a similar 2x4 space. I start one feminised seed per month (mid month) so I only ever have 3 plants in total. So right now the most advanced plant I have is my first attempt of some random bagseed that has about another ten days of flushing left. It will be chopped mid May and I’ll start another bean on the same day. The second plant was started mid March and is well into flower so I expect to crop that one in about six weeks in mid June. The smallest plant was started mid April so it’s enjoying being at the edge of the space not getting to much direct light.
There are a mix of nutrient requirements, I’m growing in coco. But it’s mostly mixing nuts for the middle plant. The last plant is on flush and the smallest I mixed a 1.5L bottle up and I’m still feeding it the same bottle for nearly a month. The middle plant drinks about 3L every other day so I mix up a 10L bucket once a week and bottle it to then hand water from bottles.
Keen to see your progress mate.
Im actually a bit anxious as I dont know where to take the grow! I know what results im aiming for.
I am hoping that I can maximize my space and adapt new methods to make shit simple. Still nothing worth taking pictures of as yet.
Thank you and I am always looking at others so I can see what I could adapt. Will follow along with yours as well. @Igor
Yes SGL is how I started! I actually didnt care too much for the connection being linked with home. I actually just purchased a few of the manual dimmers they have and removed the controller.
It sounds like you’ve got a good system.
Not sure if posting this here is kool but I have to get these bags into some substrate. I found this shit works (scarily) if thats how it is spelled… too fuckin well. The thing I like about it the most is the shit tapers on its own and no need for cautionary withdrawls!!! Unlike all the other prescribed meds.
@SaintAliasKnife I finally studied enough to where I went and learned the entire process all the way to harvest. I say thank you for that information you provided me a while ago.
nice thread, sir. liked reading it. happy seedlings and very nicely colonised grains. whatcha running? all I know about mushrooms I learned from @toastyjakes …so it’s his fault if anything goes wrong…it won’t, cleanliness is godliness. get some manure substrate and get jamming. I do 2lb substrate per 1lb of grain and it serves well. mycohaus has decent stuff.
Ive been getting busier so I’ve simplified feed and method. I get good results with EC 1.3 over baseline of water. Octo style pots on a syphon watering system with a control float in an ammo can output split by manifold to pots. all constant water level and feed. once a week I fill a rez and ad nutrients. no runoff, nothing. might be worth looking into. last run I went away for weeks and plant were fine.
btw, pop over to the vet discord. you’re missing giveaways and a lot of banter.
Congrats on the new place and best of luck with the grows.
Oh for sure… theres actually a thread devoted to it.
Way back when i started growing i failed hard at growing the green plants but seemingly excelled in fungi, so ive stuck with it forever and its one of my “proud of myself” hobbies
As of right now pinning is H.Bill, and about to start in another day or two will be T.C, and T.W. I have already stored G.T( not a fan, makes a great filler), and NaT. [quote=“SaintAliasKnife, post:48, topic:148496”]
nice thread, sir

Thank you!
I will, just need to remember my info if not!!! Ill have to create a new user. Do i need an invite?
Nice set up you got working for you.
@toastyjakes sir! I have found the therapy in it. I will need to join that thread as well. Great fruits as well!
Current batch
Grow babies grow!!
Very nice!
Thanks. Just got my table set up for a lam hood.
@toastyjakes I never understood that tek you are using? Is it easy to use?
Depends on which one youre talking about…
PFtek is pretty simple, increases the surface area that could pin but smaller so doesnt really get the full force bang you could get from colonized grain and casing with coco like i do in my trays…
Pftek is simple, doesnt need pressure cooked and about the easiest way to start… in the last couple years thanks to @SaintAliasKnife and reddit, ive been buying bags of uncle bens brown rice and just innoculating them and mixing into trays and casing with coco…
Ive tried larger scale tubs but sometimes it messes up and contams and i feel shitty about time wasted just to throw away what was alot of colonized grain because of an error in my manure or straw pasturization causing a huge mess up…
This was the one I was referring to I could have been a little more descriptive. I understand now thanks.
I failed with brown rice but never did uncle bens yet. [quote=“toastyjakes, post:55, topic:148496”]

I think the best part of learning is the agar and making prints! Then everything else is just fell into place for me.
I have a few 12qt shoeboxes and 1 large monotub that I will probably never use, its frikin oversized for just myself.
Oh for sure… ive tried agar a few times because folks used to trash multispore inoculations a little harder than they do now but i just found it easier to be as sterile as i could without paying hundreds i didnt have for flow hoods… tried a still air box once and it literally blew up in my face lol
Pf tek is good for beginners trying to learn but kind of pointless once you switch to something like grains… a few more steps involved with grain prep than the 2parts brown rice flour:1part vermiculite:1part water of pf tek but in the end its more satisfying and goes further… you can make 1 qt jar of colonized grains (i use wild bird seed) and transfer the finished product to countless jars or bags of any substrate and cut your colonization time in half…
I like the 6qt shoeboxes… i do 3qts colonized sub and 2qts coco (no nutritional value for the mycelium to continue eating instead of fruiting) and fruit those out for a couple oz a box which is waaaay more than i need for my purposes… i still have about 7g of the last run i did 2 years ago that i havent gotten around to using yet…
I like to do one macro dose trip and then follow up for a couple or few weeks of microdoses to right my head every 6 months… lately havent really felt the need to so i havent but i feel another reset and synapse recalculation coming soon, but ill be ready
What ive never understood is th shotgun style fruiting chamber… you cant tell me a box full of holes every two inches holds 100% humidity… never has for me so i improvise… usually use my old 6 hole mini mono tub with the polyfil in and that does just fine… mist 3-5 times a day and fan in new air anytime you think about it and youre golden
So this is cheating cause I’m nowhere as good as @toastyjakes here (agar and pressure cooking mad scientist type crap in my book) my previous 2 runs failure rate put me in worrisome area for my purposes…so yea cheating, I decided to throw money at the problem. Bought evrrryting:
maxibins thing, innoculated grains and sterilized manure substrate.
gatta tell ya, I messed up on the humidity control for but it worked out.
P.E and I giggled every time I looked because I’m a child.
got a couple of flushes. got me ~155gr dried.
~200 in supplies. next run (loool this side of forever) amortization kicks in and the gr/$ gets better. but I figure I’ll be alright, lol.
Meh…
Gotta do what works
Those look amazong, look at those PE dog di… erm… getting bigger in the middle lol
Also, how were they for you? Last time i did 1.5g of PE i felt like id eaten a 10 strip of acid
Sorry to derail your thread a bit @Rmevet lol hard to get me chatting on here much, unless you mention fungi, then i dont shut up lol
