I’ve always grown various methods of ebb n flow. This is the first time I’ve had these kinds of problems. I usually get boomin growth in veg. I can’t seem to lick this pH problem. Could just be res is too hot and nutes don’t like it.
But 2 of the 4 plants seem to be making a really good rebound on this new watering schedule.
So are you gonna start ditching pieces one by one and see what happens?
Which pieces? I think this thing is about as bare bones as it gets. The other change I made was I ditched Fish shit and power si out of my nute mix. I wonder if one of those two things acted as a buffer to keep pH locked in. @corgitron you have any ideas about this pH issue?
I think this has been covered but…
What do you use to make your pH adjustments when mixing the reservoir?
How do you mean? Like the tool I use or the brand of pH down?
I use a fat boy syringe and it’s General hydroponic pH down.
Well, I would assume certain products can change potency over time.
I also know that some stuff will change over time in water.
Maybe take a sample cup of your next rez water mix. So its isolated. Then test it side-by-side when you test your reservoir?
Then you would at least know if it was your products or in your system.
I like that cuz it’s smart!
Process of elimination brother!
To smoketh the dragon in his ass turn to page 45
To turn around and help Jones with his water problems turn to page 350
Read a line of 45. Trust me don’t go there. I’ll stick to page 350.
Tell me your info mate. Ppm, ph, water Temps, nutrients, vpd, lights, ect ect. More easy quick info the better. I’ll hope to be of some help
Ppm(?) Don’t check
pH 5.8 crept up to 6.15 in 24 hours
Water temp is up to 75°
Nutrients diamond k gypsum and maxi bloom
Vpd is trash 81° 42 rh
Light GLS 640
What water are you using? Tap, well, ro
Tap water.
And what’s the system? Dwc, eb flow, ect
Ebb n flow hydroton
Doesn’t water temp affect pH levels?
What’s your rez size?
How often does it eb and flow
60 gallon. I’m only running 6 buckets right now so I only have it filled to 30 gallons.
Shrugs shoulders.
It feels like that’s the last possible variable. This is also the first time I’ve had a problem keeping the res not at 70°
It feels like a sauna when I pop the lid off the top of the barrel.
