I’m gadarien. Started growing when virginia went legal. I’m currently on my second grow. I’m already so grateful for all of the posts I’ve seen and the interactions I’ve had with some of you.
I’m hoping to get a larger space and start working on being more than just a newbie grower. But currently I’m growing in a 30x30x60 tent with spyder farmer led sf-3000 I think and using fox farms ocean forest soil. I had thought I would use hydroponics but realized quickly that I travel too much for work and can’t give them the attention needed.
I’ll probably be fairly active here over the next couple months as I’ll be away from my day job. More time for messing with my plants though.
Thank you all for being so accepting though, seriously, I’ve felt like I found home from the first time I visited after seeing OG mentioned on reddit.
@derp4terps , @Gadarien , welcome to the best cannabis symposium this side of cyberspace. Glad you both feel comfortable!
And glad to see you came equipped with pictures of beautiful, healthy gardens. You should start a grow diary if you’ve got the itch. Plenty of us would love to see it and I’m sure you’ll draw the interest of plenty of folks looking to help out anyway they can.
Damn glad to meet you both and lookin’ forward to crossing paths again.
Stay up

Hey man. Meigs county is famous for weed. Have you ever been to the Halloween party in Athens ? Sometimes I still go over and party with the college babes. # 1 party school in the nation. Im about 35 miles above Marietta. I have a farm in the middle of nowhere. Great to meet you.
Hello my name is Leeloo and I’m here to document flavor profiles of weed. Which has been the hardest job I’ve been assigned. Too many strains, not enough connoisseurs or master growers. I have to dig through endless amounts of posts to come to any sort of collusion on what a strain is supposed to smell or taste like. I can’t imagine how bad medical researchers have it trying to sus out therapeutics value when no one can even be honest about basic couch lock vs crack rock effects.
It sucks because the company to work for will let me pick just about anything to grow, but if the description doesn’t match 3 months later, I’m getting canned.
So thanks for the data Overgrow. It’s much better than the “Dank gas, pungent loud earthy” descriptors from the breeder descriptions and retail surveys.
High there, I’m engine from Germany and I did my first grow back in 2001 with Skunk #1 (NL genetics of the mid 90s). I continued my grows year after year till today (outdoor only as the electricity costs in Germany are the highest worldwide). Later I started experimenting with regular ruderalis strains (based on Lowryder). My favorite was (and still is) the Lowryder X NYC Diesel cross by The Jointdoctor (sadly out of business today) named DieselRyder which I further stabilized (since 2011) and removed some silly side effects like the eatflash or the timemachine (time passes faster than you notice).
I noticed that my highs were getting messier as strains became more modern, so I decided to turn to landraces and old-school strains. And that’s what I’m doing till today, I still grow landraces and try to rebreed lost old school weed like Green Spirit (BigBud X Skunk #1).
Welcome to OG, @engine! And I want you to know that @Maddawg and me agree completely on this point! (Sadly, I only speak English, and barely at that.) I predict you, my new friend, are going to love it here!!
