Introduce yourself @OG Vol. 1

I don’t know if it’s something that you’d take advantage of but you may want to checkout seeds for vets. He’s on Facebook, Instagram, and I believe he has a website up now. Even if you don’t want to submit request for seeds he has some great strains. Especially the ones from his collaboration with purpose genetics.

Just checked out his Instagram page and it looks great. Thanks for giving me the heads up

Just checked out the website too. Seems like a good dude trying to help out. Think I’d almost feel guilty asking for free seeds but I dropped a little cash on his gofundme. Thanks again for letting me know about them.

Hi there all. I’m new to the site, live in the land down under, Australia and have been growing for a couple of years now, but lately have not had much success with high yields or tight sticky buds. They have been coming out too fluffy, I’m thinking it could be to much heat that is the problem. I’ve just put some new clones in 3 days ago (already have roots) and are about 250mm tall. I’m hoping I can get some advice from the group on a few things if possible.
Thanks

Welcome to OG @Charlieboy. Probably the best way to get advice is to start a new topic thread in one of the appropriate rooms in the menu up top right. Give as much info as you can like indica or sativa, indoor or outdoor, and anything that can help people. We have a wealth of knowledge here in real time. Just ask. Everyone is pretty cool and will answer if they can or will point you in the right direction.

Your membership level goes up with more participation like posting in others threads, using and getting likes, and creating a grow journal to post your pics. It might take a week or so to get your level up to allow you most all of the other privileges. Hang in there and meet some new peeps and read some incredible topics. You’ll be hooked before long.

If you have any trouble navigating the site just ask anyone, about anywhere and they’ll set you straight. Happy grows! peace

Welcome Charlie boy! The real seed company has a variety from Pakistan called Mardan. It handles 120 degree heat ( or close) and the buds look nice and tight. Certainly a good one to breed with in yr area! If the heat is what’s doing that to yr buds it could help. Good luck!

Hey! New to OG and want to say Hi. I’m a legal medical patient in the US. I’m currently on my first grow and things are going really well. Had a few issues early on but things are back on track. I’m looking for communities to share knowledge & experience, and to be able to get/give tips & advice. Thanks for having me! Happy growing! :sunny::seedling::droplet:

That’s good, especially when dealing with spider mites and powdery mildew, they can really put a downer on you :+1:

Oof. I know from second hand experience. My grow buddy has a bad infestation and can’t get rid of them. They’ve spread across his house and started getting into his house & aquarium plants. I take a lot of preventative measures and precautionary steps to prevent any kinds of issues that I can. #1 rule is to not bring in outside plants…like my buddy. :skull:

They do seem to go hand in hand.
I think the mites weaken the plants and makes them susceptible to other things, like pm.

Ok thanks for the advice

. Is this the new strain of PM I’ve heard about? It was only out West last I knew… spider mites are a bitch too, but not where I live. Have you heard of russet mites? Terrible little bastards.

Have you tried building a hoop house. ( they can be made fairly cheap $200 you just basically need some 20 or so foot p.v.c piping and plastic tarps. 1. clear. + 1. black.)
Then to induce early flowering you can use a technique called " Light Deprivation." it’s like throwing a blanket over a birds cage tricking them into thinking it is night time. ( don’t keep actual birds in cages that is mean. being able to fly is a blessing and that is blessing destroying yo. lol )
