Welcome to all the new members
Hi OG growers, I’m a simple country boy with simple country tastes, smoke wild grown marijuana keeps that smile on my face I’ve worked on grass based livestock farms pretty much all my life and have a great affinity for farming and country living in general. I left my native Ireland and headed for the majestical Aotearoa at age 17, it was there I encountered mystical, magical people, or so it seemed to me, growing cannabis outdoors in an area that got twice the annual rainfall of my rainy homeland. One common theme of areas that grow abundant pasture for grazing livestock is rain for sure. I had smoked some inferior quality indoor bud and some nice quality hash in my youth prior to this but I was very fortunate to make friends with a couple of guys who were committed outdoor growers and I never wanted for a smoke of sweet sensimilla in my time there. In the blink of an eye a couple of years had passed and I returned home aged 23. It took me a couple of turns to harvest my first outdoor crop after I returned home and tried my hand at replicating what these blokes had been doing way down at the South tip of NZ. In the meantime I had invested in a tent and a 600w light as my outdoor adventures were not proving too fruitful. So here I am now 28 years old working on a grass based dairy farm hoping to hone my indoor growing skills some and be able to move away from bottled organic nutrients to a more natural style of indoor growing that will suit someone with a nonchalant attitude towards a millilitre or two here and there and the inability to understand that you cannot keep a sterile growing environment if you’re generally covered in muck from head to toe. I will also be aiming to do battle with Manannán Mac Lir (Celtic deity responsible for the sky water and the sea water) on a rolling basis with an annual humble attempt at outdoor growing. Although I have great people around me and live in a great community sometimes rural life can leave one feeling isolated as views on cannabis and it’s cultivation for personal use would still be quite negative with the majority, so being part of an online community of people with shared interests sounds like a dream as it’s nice to be able to talk about all the things that interest you not just a select few. Thanks for looking in and hoping to get to know lots of you in the near future. SCT

Hi @OG I am a lover of plants and all things Green, I have been smoking and growing Marijuana for 10 years now and absolutely love this plant. I started consuming marijuana in an age where I could walk down to the corner store here In Southern California and buy whatever flavor o the week I wanted. I’ve tasted/sampled most every type of poly hybrid I’ve come across and have hardly ever complained Yes it is nice and a luxury… but just like with music, food, and cars I prefer the classics/originals. I dream and seek to preserve pure Landrace Indicas and Sativas and love smoking F1’s of Landrace or IBL’s. I have an affinity towards heirloom Hindu and Afghani’s but would also like to try my hand at pure sativas. Aside from Cannabis I grow just about anything else that will survive in my current climate and I have a bad tendency of saving seeds…all seeds, from anywhere (organic preferably) including any seeded buds I’ve had in the last ten years. So yeah plant lover and seed hoarder that about sums it up. Hi y’all.
Seed hoarder aye, you’ll fit right in here
Yeah, addiction is rampant around here.
Good to see you made it by. Looking forward to hearing more about your Hindu/Afghani stuff. Enjoy the site, we have a lot of cool peeps here with all of the goods. peace
Yeah there’s actually a seed addict thread on here somewhere, can’t remember asactly what it’s labelled as though
Welcome to overgrow! You’ll love it! Do you have good genetics for where you are now? I get close to 45 inches/yr at 42 north lat. Looks like Ireland gets around 30 inches. If you need tips on how to deal with wet weather and what will survive there, look me up. I’ve been researching this for quite some time. If you’ve any tips to share that were learned by these NZ farmers I would love to hear them.

Hello all
I have been smoking for 25+ years now and growing since 1999, mostly indoor in small space in a prohibitive country.
My favorite smoke are high ceiling sativas but I like also good indicas when I find some
I enjoy growing my own hybrids, making my own seeds and so on…
Here is a pic of an hybrid test built upon a RSC Nanda devi male and a South Indian bagseed female, at 46 days of flowering
let’s overgrow
