Hey everybody,
I’m from Southern California and I’m still pretty new at this. I’ve harvested (along with a buddy) about 4 or 5 times indoors and they were unimpressive, but very educational. We moved outdoors and while we still haven’t hit the level of quality we would prefer, we’re definitely having more fun outside! Here’s a pic of a Green Crack plant from a teen clone I bought at a dispensary (around Memorial Day) and a bud of Pineapple Chunk from seed from the first harvest of the year in mid June (my buddy grew that one). I actually didn’t know you could get multiple harvests per year outdoors without light dep, but like I said we’re learning a lot from these these outdoor grows. Anyways hope to learn a lot from you guys and thanks for having me/us.
P.S. Forgot to mention that both of these were organically grown with no bottled nutrients. Only (many) soil amendments and water (sometimes with molasses).
Suppose its time to come out of the shadows and introduce myself… I am a lurker - can’t help it. Sometimes I wonder if I am coming or going lol
Anyway, I am from the great state of Alaska and almost ready to take my training wheels off as I have been relearning how to grow over the past 2 yrs.
Anyway, Hi
ADMIN EDIT:
Discussion continues in following topic:
Plants flower early outdoors if put out before mid to late May or June. If you veg for a while indoors (like a month) this can be a good thing and you get a small harvest around June. My buddy started a seed around Valentine’s Day and moved it outdoors a month later and got about an oz or oz and a half in June (when I put a teen clone out, which vegged like normal). But you are correct that hardening a plant to outdoors is the best way to go regardless of the month. Just make sure your plant is a decent size when you put it out and you really can’t go wrong.

Please keep growing discussions, questions and photos in grow topics. This one is for member introductions only. Thanks

Hello overgrow, new to growing, unsuccessful(countless attempts ) is a little more honest, always shied away from technology and the net ,and that is probably the reason,i ordered a book about growing marijuana in 1992 I believe the author to be Ed Rosenthal,he had maybe a sentence about feminized seeds, its hard to believe it seems all about that for some,i can’t imagine traumatizing a plant to the point where it will change its sex,i don’t know. i don’t what to piss any one off so to each their own,i just love the plant so much, and I want my plants to have sex, always looking for seeds(genetics) ,would love to find that super potent delicious and purple(my mouth is watering!!!) On that note I can’t seem to finish a plant properly, flush and cure either, man my personal sucks,i know the genetics are on point,im sure the seeds I have now would have been priceless 20 is years ago, only not the way I finish them,im here to learn, thanks got to go for now,
