Kumaoni 8/17/24, beginning to flower. Stem rub of sour green mango, wood, and incense becoming more intense. Couldn’t really capture the scale of the plant without adding visual confusion from the other narrow leaf plants next to it. But plant is around a meter tall + wide right now. It would be much taller, maybe two meters at this point, but I’ve been bending the branches down to keep it at the same height as the other plants. The other weak Kumaoni died in the high heat unfortunately but this one I have already taken a clone of which is fully rooted in my cloner right now. @Upstate really appreciate you sending me seeds of this amazing plant.
KASHMIR A & B Regs below @vinu58ster. Nearing the end of week 3 Veg
sharing some lite with acapulco gold Regs (week 5 veg)
Also this one its Beautiful brother
Beautiful nld plant!
Kumaoni today, starting to purple from the cold nights. Same sour mango and woody smell but there is a light solvent note coming through too. Still difficult to capture the scale of the plant, but it is close to 2 meters tall, 2 meters wide in one direction, and taking up half of the fabric raised bed its in.
@Upstate thought you’d like to see the progress on this one. One of my favorite cannabis plants I’ve ever grown, appreciate you sending me the seeds.
Beautiful plant. Do you have the season to finish it? Nice dark stem on her. Sour mango sounds yummy.
That’s the goal. She started preflowering around mid-August but no pistils until early September. I can harvest up until mid December if the weather cooperates, and she’ll tolerate the cold better than the ACE Ethiopian I harvested in early December of last year, so hoping that will be long enough. I may be misremembering but don’t the purple phenotypes of Kumaoni have significantly shorter flowering times than the green ones?
What a beautiful beast!
That’s lovely! I need to get some going. I started a few last year but had to let them go. Really different look to them.
May I ask what you’re feeding?
Sounds like she’s going to finish for you no problem. We’re sure it should be able to handle the cold like a champ… as you said , the purples do finish earlier a good bit of the time. The person I got the seeds from found a beautiful ten week plant.
@MissinBissin Nice kashmirs. Which one is it again?
Good Morning @Upstate
Graciously, @vinu58ster has provided these Kashmir seeds for me.
Within this Strain, I have Zero experience as to which Cultivar is actually growing. I do No Know of the Variables available.
Direct from India, was pretty damn close to start with LoL.
Beyond that Brother I am totally interested in what I have coming my way… looks like 4 females, 2 of each
strain
Flip happens next weekend !!!
Week 7 & 9 (kashmir / AG) of Veg starts today
Thanks for the wake-up call, i think I’ll do a little research on that Topic !
That should be from near Srinigar and will be faster flowering, like 8-10 weeks. The longest flowering lowland kashmirs go around 12 weeks. Its a crapshoot. No way to know…but srinagar area genes have been making the rounds the most.
Shiv has a couple new ones too. Could be one of those. The area they came from was more southeast kashmir i think…and is unrelated to the srinagar area collection
Thank You for that Mortar @Upstate, I am hoping that my Comrade @vinu58ster may be able to shine a lite on some of the Seeds history. And a 12-hour time difference !!
All is good though! Happy to be growing something with a Past !!!
@rasterman, You made mention of the Coloidal (sp) Silver Still being available… big picture… I was really looking for a bit of Pollen, from one (1) of these 4 plants, to make a Blend of Acapulco Gold and Kashmir.
If I’m correct, and please correct me if I’m wrong; the Colloidal Silver only helps in Making Seeds where there are None !?
Not in producing any Pollen
@MissinBissin . If I may help ? I spray colliodal silver at lights out only on the first 4 days after the flip to 12 - 12. About 3 weeks later the treated female should produce male flowers.
OK Thank You @Magu for that clarification
I’ve got Andhra Gold going now, 6 days old. It looks like I’ll have two good plants to hopefully get a female. I’ll let the one that sprouted and grew only cotyledons go until it dies, but it doesn’t look to be pushing out any more leaves
10 days from breaking soil. They seem to be moving right along
The one with only cotyledons decided to give me a couple of leaves right before I gave up on it
This is my first time growing any landrace strains. I’ve been reading more about them lately, and now I’m wondering if I should be growing these on 12/12 so it’s closer to it’s natural light cycle? Any knowledge or opinions are welcome
